Hi Susan....Carlsbad...and the caverns...awww...everyone should see them once. My mom is a 1st grade teacher in El Paso, TX....everyone that teaches children are my heros. Without you all...God only knows were we'd be!! If you ever get the chance to go play in the dirt...DO! It is very calmng believe it or not. Relieves tension and reveals a person's artistic side..all at the same time..lol! Sounds corney, but true!

Mimi: I supose raspberries would work just fine. Most people use the frozen blueberries. I am considering using the canned peaches(in their own juice).
I'm now interested in this Key Lime Pie you are talking about! I just can't handel the sugar substitiute "after taste" SF yogart has. Do I have the choice of Jello or yogart? The Jello is much better.
Anyway...there are 8 meetings today....think I'll go weigh in at 9:30am instead of 8am. Maybe another pound will dissappear between now and then...SURE!
Good Luck Ladies!

Went to the surgeon this morning. He said that the pain that I'm having is normal. It has only been 5 weeks since the surgery, so I need to give it time. If in the next couple of months it isn't better, I'm supposed to call and he'll give me a cortisone shot. Icky.

A healthrider is a thing you sit on with your feet on pedals and your hands on handlebars. Your press down with your feet and pull back with your arms and your seat comes up. That sounds so silly, but I don't know how to describe it! Bob used to enjoy using one at the Y, and some friends of ours gave us theirs because they weren't using it.

My sub for this morning is the girl who subbed for me when I was off for the surgery. I have to be there in an hour. I don't think I have time for a nap. Poo!

morning,
Tammy, I'm glad you found out that your pain is "normal."
No pain is normal, especially if you are having it. No time for a nap----that's awful.
Mimi, been there, wanted to eat everything in sight! I'm so glad Dan got that job. Did you say he was working where Mike works? Tell them to bring you a doggy bag. (Shame on me.)

I go under the knife tomorrow afternoon. I have a couple of skin tags on my left eyelid. They are both right on the edge, in my eyelashes. I hope they don't say the eyelashes won't grow back. Mine are sparse to start with.
The bad thing is that my eyelid has to be in some contraption to hold it still while they cut! Okay, I'm grossing myself out. Just remember me tomorrow afternoon when I'm not having any fun.

Key Lime Pie recipe from Tina, January

1 Reduced Fat Graham Cracker Pie Crust
1 pkg. (4-serving) sugar-free lime gelatin
1/4 cup boiling water
2 containers (6 oz.) key lime pie flavor light yogurt
1 container (8 oz.) fat-free whipped topping, thawed
1) In large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in yogurt with wire whisk. Fold in whipped topping with wooden spoon.
2) Spread in crust. Refrigerate overnight or at least 2 hours.
3) Garnish as desired. Store leftovers in refrigerator.
Servings: 8
Points per serving: 3
Enjoy!

Tammy; that healthrider sounds way too coordinated for a spaz like me.
Tina; I will be thinking of you tomorrow, I hope it will go quick. Yes the boys are at the same place, its about a five minute walk from home, thats a big advantage for me too. NO doggie bags!!!! ;(
Tina 637 wow eight meetings today... we have about 8 a week, and its a big area, almost 250,000

Thanks Mimi.......Yes...I thought there was a lot of meetings for a Thursday. I went back and counted them and there is actually 6 meeting today(I was thinking 8). That is still a lot. We have meetings 7 days a week...usually a couple times a day. However, there are 6 meetings on Thursday. Must be a popular day! Thanks a million for the recipe. I copied in and stored it in a file I am creating for WW desserts. I'll be making that FOR SURE!

I like to weigh in on Thursday, then I can not be too uptight about the weekend, and I have 4 days before I have to weigh in again. I can't imagine weighing in on Monday.

I wish we had a bunch of meetings and especially one 7 days a week. I think they would have enough business.

I got my water in today. I normally don't have a hard time drinking it but I've been lately. My food was better today.

Tina, I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. Is Larry taking you? The whole thing doesn't sound fun.

Tammy, glad you got some info on your hand. It will be great when you don't have any pain!!!! Like I need to tell you

Tina637, I appreciate all your support of teachers. Tammy is one too.

Mimi, I forgot where do the boys work at?

Have a good evening.

Susan

I have beautiful, orange toes tonight. I got a pedicure this afternoon. It was pure heaven to have someone else cut my toenails. I just sat back and drank the Diet Coke they provided.

Susan---Yes, Larry is taking off tomorrow afternoon to take me. He is afraid my eye might be watery after "the event" and doesn't think it good for me to drive home. I appreciate you thinking about me. I'm not looking forward to this. Good for you, drinking your water today.

Mimi, thank you for thinking about me tomorrow and thanks for re-posting the pie recipe for everyone. You can make your own crust with fat free or reduced fat graham crackers. You don't have any key lime yogurt in your town? I'm amazed.

I hope everyone has a good Friday.
Oh, in case you didn't read the weigh-in thread, I lost a whole pound. I'm so excited.

Tina, you know that we all would have gotten together and taken those skin tags off for you. We are all brave women. Just give us some wine, and we could probably do anything! JUST KIDDING!!! Hope it went ok!!

I'm having a good Friday because I am home! I was up most of the night coughing, so I have a very weak voice. Also tired. Decided to stay home and sleep and rest my voice.
I'm also getting some laundry done. I have over 150 sick days even with all of the time that I was off for the surgery. I don't think another day off will hurt.

I rode the healthrider again this morning. It's really pretty easy. When you press down with your feet, the handlebars come back so you really don't have to be too coordinated. lol

I'm ready for a nap.

Default I Survived

I survived. However, I think I liked Tammy's idea of y'all taking care of my surgery. Wow, what an unpleasant experience.
I haven't had as much fun since giving birth. It really hurt.
Today my eyelid is swollen and the area is red. Get this, I can't wear makeup on that eye for 5 days. I need a big floppy hat to go with my sunglasses.
I think I'll sit in the back of church tomorrow and run after the last prayer.
Last night, Larry went after Mexican food and a piece of lemon icebox pie. If that was more than my 35 flex points, I don't care.

How is everyone doing? Tammy, do you have a voice? Susan, we're supposed to get rain today. How's your weather? Mimi and Sis, are y'all still having snow? Christine, are you driving your kids around all weekend? Tina637, when do you start back to work on your bulldozer? Maureen, are you still reading posts?
Everyone have a great weekend.

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well. I am so glad to have the week end off but I am still so tired! I think by the time I'm not it will be time to go back to work. Maybe I will slip in a nap today. My dd wants to go to church tomorrow so I figure I should take her cuz we aren't going to have many weekends to do that for a while.
Tina, it is beautiful today but I've been told we're in for some more yucky weather next week. I will be so glad when spring gets here! I have been doing pretty good staying OP this week so I hope next week shows another loss. I am still aiming for that ONE-derland. I'll get there yet! Hope everone has a wonderful week end. Take care......Sis

Sis; you and I have a common goal onederland.
I went for my physical this week and my doc was very happy but she wants me to get more exercise and work less. Ah the weekend does feel good.
Has anyone got a freecycle spot near them I am clearing out tons of stuff from my basement, so much better than a garage sale even though I don't earn any money from it.
I have pretty much decided that I will have to sell my house, that really hurts cause I know I will never be an owner again, but all my assets are in my house. Sucks. Maybe with a little money in the bank I will be able to work a little less.
Tina; I hope you feel better soon. Congrats on the weight loss.

Having to sell your house is horrible, Mimi. I wish there was another way to go. You're cleaning! When you finish, you can come help me with some closets.

It's a beautiful day here. We are due for rain but it's not around here yet....just a lot of sun.
This is not a good food day for me. I'll get back OP on Monday.

I do have a voice today. Very weak, but you can hear it if you try. Hopefully it will be full strength by Tuesday when we start testing. If it isn't, someone else will have to give my tests!

Tina, I hope your eye feels better soon. I've had some things taken off the eyelid too, and it is very painful.

Sis, sometimes I feel like onederland will never get here for me. It seems so close yet so far away.

Mimi, I'm so sorry that you will have to sell your house. We'll be looking at that in the near future. I think I'm ready to rent and not have all of the responsibility of home ownership. It can be so expensive and time-consuming.

I need to get busy. My thingies haven't moved, and I'll forget how to do it!!!
