Hello all. Just a quick hello right now. I was 1pt over last night...but I will make that up today. It was just one of those really hungry days. I did get workout points and I guess I could use that.

Anyway, I will be back this afternoon.

trish

Kirsty: DO NOT EAT THE CAKE! You know what, I just saw one of your co-workers spit on that cake. How gross! (See, if there is spit on the cake you can't eat it!)

I am doing the Happy Dance for Brenda and Casey! That is awesome

My teacher extended a deadline on an assignment and he usually never does, so I am a happy camper!!

Brenda: Congrats on your loss, that is great! Don't worry, my dog got the snip snip and he was fine afterwards.

Kirsty: There's a tube strike? I heard that London just celebrated the billionth passenger (probably as a publicity stunt to save face if a strike was looming). Oh well, I hope you'll be okay getting around and stuff. My dad was testing me on all the transit lines in London and whether or not if I knew which one was the tube or the underground, I did well actually.

Lola: I love dogs too, I also love cats. I'll wait for the pets though until I have a stable full-time job... for now I'll have a cactus and visit the pets at my parents' house.

Jen: I can't strength train at my parent's house due to the pets. The second I lie on the floor, one of my dogs snuggles next to me and if I lift dumb bells the other dog tries to play with them as well.

Lori: 3 pancakes for 3 points? That sounds awesome! mmmmmmmm

Lisa: I worked up my workouts slowly, but once I got it to 5-6 days a week, it became sooo addictive... I can't believe I love exercise as much as I do now, though I am *slowly* warming up to the weight training (I LOVE the results!!!). I am hopefully going to get certified as an aerobics instructor this summer.

Kierie: Good luck with the cooking Kosher!

Kay: Cadbury Egg Addicts unite I will have three this year and spread them over easter and my exam period. I now know I can easily work them in, but I figure if I have them after Easter the stores will have stopped selling them so I can't buy more (well except for that one year where they were selling them off discounted after Easter and I got 10 for $1 <I ate them over a week>).

Tonya: that is great, it shows that all the good habits you have acquired can be followed even when things get a little more stressful than usual! Good For you

Take Care!

Ali

Kirsty: A local grocery store chain in Canada may pick up some Mark's food, which will make my parents REALLY happy. Though I got addicted to the double devonshire cream chocolates this summer ( after eating a whole bag of those yummy chocolate caramels I joined WW, I'm serious ).

Belle: when is the big moving day?

Trish: I am sure you'l kick butt with points today so that 1 extra point won't matter! Take Care

(and Kirsty, I also saw a co-worker spit on that cake).

Bye!

Ali

ali - you've lost me. isn't the tube just the nickname for the underground? or did you mean to write overground? anyhow. yes they celebrated the billionth passenger and then promptly went on strike cos of safety reasons. nearly all the stations and all the lines are closed. only 3 lines are operating, at about 10% of normal service and only at the outskirts (basically there is nothing in central london at all!). it's going to be a long walk home tonight....it's quite amusing to see all these people in suits matched with trainers/walking boots clutching their A-Z's and wondering where they are!

Kirsty I practically wept when Marks closed their Montreal store. No more strong tea... shortbread.... wine gums... clotted cream pudding....

Default Good Grief! Are we busy or what??

Wow! I logged on what I thought was early, just to find out the boards are on fyah!! (fire)
Kirsty: Ugh, snotty, spitty...you have some really rude co-workers. hee hee
Lola: What is clotted pudding? I am forming a really bad impression in my mind. Where I'm from, clotted or clotting is not associated with food, but with blood. Eek!
I stayed OP yesterday! Yippee for me!
Oh Wait!!! DOOT DOOT DO DOOO! (like a trumpet)
AWESOME JOB TO THE LOSERS!!! Brenda, I knew you could do it!!
Tonights a big night! Survivor, Friends, ER...wow, I can't wait. I'm going to the gym, too, since I can't walk at lunch today...
Must make a potty break but I'll be back since the boss is gone today. Yippee!!

Kirsty: The tube being the deep underground lines and then the more overground lines called the underground. That's how I understood it (which could be VERY outdated, my father hasn't lived in London since the 70s, so I maight be completely wrong and off-base) Sorry for confusing you.

Lola: The rumour is Loblaws might be making arrangements for M & S stuff, I hope so.

Stacey: Survivor is on tonight? I thought it was on Wednesdays now. Oh well, that's fine (though then the gym must have been empty for another reason last night, made my workout go much quicker though).

Now I am going to by a new top! Take care!

Helllloooooo ladies!

Tonya and Brenda - thanks for the pep talks. I'm in better spirits already. Really, I'm in a much better mood. I was just feeling so overwhelmed this morning.

Ali - really, an aerobics instructor. I think i remember you saying that before, but I think that's so cool. Two years ago, would you have ever imagined....

Kirsy - JUST SAY NO!!!! The guy making the cake lost some fingernail clippings in the mix. Then sneezed on the icing.

Jen - L, yeah for strength training. I'm doing well with that too... I really like I like it.

Kier - I will have to get the recipe from my roommate. They are really good. I know all the ingrediants, but I'm not sure what she does with them all... I find out. And she uses full fat cheese and full fat tortillas. I bet you could take the 8 points and bring it down to 6 if you used all low-fat cheese and low-fat tortillas.

Well, I worked breakfast and lunch around the enchalada- a 3pt breakfast and a 7 point lunch. So if I don't snack today... and really I don't need to... I'm pretty good if I make it past 10am... then have the 14 point enchalada dinner - I'll still be able to bank 3 points. Who would've thought - a enchalada dinner and still have points left over!

By the way - a low point food suggestion: anyone have Zararain's rice mixes in their grocery stores? It's a southern company - and I used to have to have my mom mail me the rice mixes from home - but now they have them in Boston.

Well, they have a red beans and rice mix (2pts for a cup) or black beans and rice (4pts for a cup) and they are really filling because they have lots of fiber. What's great about the Red Beans and Rice one is that if you do feel really hungry, you can have 2 cups for 4 points.

Anyway, check in the rice aisle and give them a try - they're SO GOOD!

Default Boo!

Thanks for all the congrats! Things are going well today. I had a few M & M’s but will count them and have some yummy bean soup for lunch.

Kierie: I hope mine doesn’t decide to bark all the time afterwards. The only time he barks now is when we are playing or when a stranger knocks and he gets suspicious. I was hoping maybe it would mellow him a bit. I guess I’ll plan for double the spazoid I have now. What did my DH get me into? Jeez I love that dog.

Kay: Now you know I have to respond to that comment! I would love to have you as a part of my team *double evil grin*! It doesn’t really take any courage. It’s just hanging out with people and having a good time. I get to see how they decorate their homes and make suggestions. I know a lot of people who started even though they were worried about it and now they are loving it and making bookoo bucks! You should see the new spring catalog! Argh!! I’m running out of room for candle holders in my house.

Tonya: I’m sure sometimes my DH wonders if he has a wife He loves to cook so I leave it to him. I don’t mind, it just seems like so much work. We’re having ppl over Sat night and I think I’m going to make the cheese lasagna from WW week 6 and the veggie quesedillas from week 3. My co-workers are right now making copies of the recipies

Kirsty: You are a cruel evil person Tempting us with sweets, shame one you. BACK AWAY FROM THE CAKE!!! Keep reminding yourself how much better your dinner will be tonight! I swear I see a bug in that picture of the cake. Bug cake ewwwwwwwwwwwwww

Ali & Kirsty: Please laugh at me. When Kirsty was talking about the ‘tube’ I figured she meant TV, b/c that’s a nickname for it. :spinning: Am I mental or what? Hey Ali, how about lifting the dog if they won’t let you weight train

Stacey: Good job on points!

Suppose I should get to working on month end close! Later alligator!

Default Yummy lunch

Hey everyone!
Lisa: I get Zatarain (sp?) here in Oklahoma. They are yummy! I haven't tried anything but the Jumbalya mix (used sausage and chicken long time ago) and the Red Beans and Rice. I'll have to check in to that!
New food item!!!
Bird's Eye Broccoli with Cheese sauce. The ENTIRE package (2.5) servings is 2.5 points!! I hope I figured it out right, but it is so yummy and really filling. It's what I'm having for lunch today.
Brenda: We're still thinking about getting a dog, but it won't be until after the honeymoon. That way we don't have to board him/her or have someone come stay at the house. Goofy will be fine with someone coming over periodically, but if we had a dog, especially a puppy, that would take a lot of "dog-sitting" I looking forward to getting a dog, though. Don't worry, when I was reading Bridget Jones, I thought the tube was the tv, too. I think the differences are funny!
Well, I should get some work done, but I really don't wanna!! Mmm, I want some cheese with my whine.
haha
I guess I'll pretend to do something for the meager pay I call an earning. I'll be back..........
