Finally Friday!!!!

  • BBIAM....
  • You guys are the best! I didn't get a chance to post again yesterday but I lurked a couple times and all your advice, support and sympathy got me through the day.

Angie - I've been avoiding ventage to friends because most of them are also coworkers but your thought reminded me that my sister would be happy to let me whine to her.

Lexxy - I took your lazy advice. I did nothing but read and watch tv between getting home and going to bed yesterday.

KT - I've known that you've been frightfully busy with the new job but didn't realize you were so frustrated. I'm sorry you're in that situation. Thanks for admitting you've cried - I had a meltdown and ended up in tears yesterday - I quit feeling bad about when your note made me realize that I'm not the only one to have ever done it.

JenL - We have the same rule out our house. It is usually a good thing but right now it is hard because I really want his advice on how to handle things - I just don't want to ruin every single one of his evenings talking about work.

Jess - I've been worried that my last PM P.O'd you. I took your advice and brought in a picture of my nieces. Only an aunt could love it. It is supposed to be a nice posed picture but all 3 girls have weird face and hand things going on. It makes me laugh because it shows how different they all are.

Well, I made it through yesterday and except for the part where I got asked if I could build at 12x20 stage (because carpentry is high on the list of important skills for executive assistants), I mostly managed just fine.

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend? We've got nothing going on other than some wedding research.

I'll try to pop in later.
  • Good Morning!
Good morning, Laura and everyone else getting ready to post. It's finally Friday, thank goodness. I was wondering if I'd ever make it through the week.

You guys wanna hear how incredibly exciting my life is? Yesterday, I left work early for a dentist appointment--I had to get my first filling ever, which totally sucked. Then, I went home and napped for awhile. I got up and made dinner, watched Law and Order SVU (I have a major crush on Detective Munch), and then spent the rest of my night using a plunger on my bathroom sink. I pulled out the longest hairball ever!!! What a thrill!!

Plans for tonight are maybe a little more exciting. I have to bowl and then I'm going out for dancing and drinks with some people from work. There's a boy going that I sort of like (what boyfriend??), so maybe I'll get to talk to him more. Tomorrow night, Aaron and I are going to do something, which means we'll probably rent a couple of movies. Whoo.

Anyway, I've got a few PM's to reply to (Laura, doll, you're on the list)... And then I've got some major work to do. See ya!
  • Hey girls,

Jess your night sounds more exciting then mine was! I painted my nails. I actually had 2 invites to go out on the town, but to be honest, I'm so fat I don't even want to go out because 1) I look terrible (and therefore feel terrible) and 2) I'm afraid of running into someone who hasn't seen me lately after regaining all the weight I lost. It sucks. I'm up 5.5 lbs this week. Guess I have to go change my sig
  • Jess - ewwww! Nasty! Sounds like a fun evening. Now spill about the boy!!!!!!

Lexxy - GO OUT!!! You may not even run into the person. Plus, I promise that if you do see (HIM?) your old acquaintance will be so busy agonizing over the bald spot they've developed since seeing you that they won't notice your appearance.

I think I'm gonna see if I can get lucky tonight. It's been along week. Take-out chinese, a rented movie and Naked Friday may be the cure.
  • Hi Girlies sorry about the LOOOOONG MIA between exams and not having a puter at home during break I was Jonesin for some 3fc time

  • Kierie - The dress is gorgeous. You are gonna be so fabulous in it!! I'm not really engaged. No proposal or ring or anything. We figured since we want to be married that we need to plan the wedding. Actually, I'm not really planning the wedding. He pretty much is. I got in trouble the other night because I didn't want to look at dresses on-line with him. Hee-hee. Have fun house hunting!
  • Hey girls! 'Bout time Friday got here!

Jess - your night IS exciting compared to mine! I watched a couple too many sitcoms (and here I thought I was getting over my Friends addiction!) and rented X-Men 2! I liked it. Of course, didn't make it to the gym because ... okay, I have no excuse! Whoops. And tell us about the boy already!

Come on Laura - you know you can build a stage with one hand tied behind your back!

Lexxy - go out already! But I know what you mean, it's so hard to try and have a good time when you're not feeling cute! You know what, though, we are so much harder on ourselves than anyone else in the world is ... when people see you, they are going to be happy to see you because they like being around YOU - not concentrating on how much you've changed (which I'm sure you're being too hard on yourself about anyway!) Enjoy your Friday!

Kierie! Welcome back! That dress is absolutely beautiful - you're going to look gorgeous!

And i'm not even getting into the up 3.5 that the scale is showing... it could have been much worse i'm sure considering i managed to eat my cupboards bare last weekend ... ALL weekend long!

    onward to more work ....
  • Laura Congrats on getting married... When are you doing it? BY the way *hint hint* I make wedding scrolls and don't charge outrageous prices like alot places do..... *snickers*

How is everyone else doing? Are ya ready for the weekend?

    *hugs*
    lynnie
  • Hey girls,

Who knows, I may feel like going out later on tonight....we'll see. Money is another factor...trying to save up for my 750 sq. feet that will cost about $250,000. I also need to get my hair done ($200+). Ugh, why do I live in such an expensive place. On the plus side, I just bought 2 pairs of boots, for (drumroll please......) a TOTAL of $15.00. I was at target picking up cleaning stuff and I saw some cute boots and they were on clearance. They only had a half-size smaller than my usual boot size in black, but I figure if they are too uncomfortable to really wear, I won't have lost much. I've really been needing new black boots, and the only one's I've seen lately have been around $100.

    Anyway...Kierie, the dress is gorgeous!!

Laura - he's bald already! Ha! Truthfully though, it's not what he or other people think of me, it's how disappointed in myself I am and how embarrased I am for people to see that I lost all this weight but then just gained it right back (insert 'failure, lazy, lack of willpower, etc' here)

Angie, thanks for reminding me about Xmen 2. I actually liked the first one, even though I'm not into that comic book stuff. Hugh Jackman is DREAMY

Hi Lynnie, I am so ready for the weekend!
  • Oh, totally forgot to mention that I also just bought the South Beach Diet book. I kind of feel like I'm just flushing money down the drain buying a 'diet fad' book, but we shall see!
  • Lexxy - God yes, Hugh Jackman is HOT! I'm not that into the whole comic book movie thing either (hated Daredevil, never watched spiderman ....) but i've like these x-men movies. hey, let us know how the book is. I could always use a change.

hi lynnie! good to see you on the boards again
  • Ohh Angie - Hugh Jackman - yummy!

Lynnie - Next January. I don't know what wedding scrolls are but I'm pretty sure we don't need them. It's a pretty small wedding. Small as in bride and groom and that's it. Out of curiousity though, what are wedding scrolls?

Lexxy - good deal on the boots. I love a bargain. Especially on SHOES!

In 3 hours and 20 minutes I will be free of work. Woo-hoo!!!!
  • I had to say - Kier - GORGEOUS!!

OK - I was just lurking. I have appointments now.

    KT
  • Laura: they are a wedding favor that is rolled with a ring around it.In the old days a scroll was closed by melted wax. It's has inside alittle saying like thank you for sharing our days etc.....
