Default I am not doing any work today, can you tell

Lisa: your coat sounds very cute. I think that is a good plan to help you stay on track. All the little mind games really help me. On the bread, I just had to make myself. I had gone over points on some days and I just did not want to again and gain. It was tough.

Becky: Somedays at work really are yucky, aren't they. I agree, say no to the M&M's I can not even get started with those. I LOVE the peanut ones so much. They really are evil adictive things. (But so yummy)

Belle: congrats on the 1.4! Great job! Hey, I think you are smart to let your mom give you move out advice. That will make her feel needed and wanted. Good plan.

Emily: that is - ah - great about the pictures (he he). But I think it is a point well taken. Sometimes you need to see somehting and give you some added determinaiton to make it to goal. Oh, mexican food. I really love mexican food. But I don't have the points for any kind of it tonight. So, I will make an altrnative plan to go and see the Mexican movie and eat my veggie stir fry. Then I can eat mexican tomorrow. See, planning (boy, I hope that I can stick to my plan, that is the issue)

AHHH, Someone just told me it is ice cream float day here at work. I must avoid the kitchen and remember that I don't even like ice cream floats and I think I will close my office door too, just in case I go crazy by seeing everyone walk back to their office with one. Instead I will look out my window...at the Taco Bell. Ahhh. Right now I feel like Bridget Jones (but more Mid West).

Default Brownies were calling....

Hey girlies!!

Well, I was SO CRAVING a brownie, from Companies's coming, a place I used ot work at...it smelled Divine...but i resisted, you know why? I saw my reflection and thought - wow, I look kinda thin (well, everything is relative of course) and I suddenly didn't want it anymore.

Nothing tastes as good as thin feels - whoever said that was so right!

Becky, go look at yourself in the mirror it might work!!!

Lori and Lisa, I too am in the GS cookie boat....they are EVERYWHERE!!!!!!

Suzanne and Ali - I get sporadic comments. The one b/f said was the most special cuz he rarely says anything...once ina while he will say something, but its rare...and uncalled for - I nevr am "trying" to look thinner or wear something new when he comments....I am usually in sweats! I can't wait to be where you are Ali and have MORE comments....though they do make me somewhat shy...

I gotta header....I will repondez soon!! Hello to everyone!!

Default ¡Ándale, ándale!

Hellooooooooo chicas! I like Spanish computer keyboards, they have all the little accents and upside down punctuation marks ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

So ... everybody ready for the weekend? It's going to be weird here because the only way I will know it's the weekend is that I won't be able to go to the library on Sunday because it'll be closed. And all the shops will be closed too. This is what happens when you don't have anyone to hang out, I guess - so, my big plan is to spend Sunday going to museums, starting with the Municipal Museum because it's right over the road from my house. Then I'm going to trek all over Madrid looking for the places that appear in the book I'm working on at the moment. The author gives really detailed descriptions, so hopefully I'll be able to find them (it was written 100 years ago though...).

So I guess my weekend problem is solved - I get to treat it just like a weekday, full stop. I'm far too much of a wimp to go to restaurants or bars on my own Trish, Brenda - I know someone mentioned planning everything over the weekend, but don't forget journalling too. Leave your journal right in the kitchen or somewhere you can see it and track EVERYTHING (I mean the WW journal, or tracker). That's what I do. Usually works.

Anyway guys, I had great news last night - Blokey phoned and he´s going to come out here for my last week! Yay! We didn't think we could afford it (wedding stuff, car loan etc) but then my apartment was cheaper than I thought, so he's coming. So happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But tomorrow the poor guy has to take both sets of parents to the place we want to have the wedding ... this is it ... if they approve then we´re booking it and there´s no going back. eek!

Gonna go now and have my special evening treat - a chocolate soya pudding, how sad is that when you guys are all off out having Mexican and everything (feeling sorry for myself, can you tell?!)

Sorry for not replying to everyone but I will next time, PROMISE,

hugs,
Lolly (in Madrid)
xxx

ps:- Tillie, I mustn't forget, YAY! for sharing your stats with us. Look at mine, I started right up there, just like Belle and Ali and Emily and Stacey and Jen, so we all know how scary it can be. But together we can do it!

Default I want some pudding, too!

Hey Lolly. Your weekend plan sounds like fun. Also, I am glad your hubby to be gets to come and visit you. What fun! You are right, I need to journal on the weekend. I usually start out well, but then blow it but the end of the Sat/Sun day.

Belle: good job on the brownie!!!! That can be such a temptation. But you are right, sometimes it is not worth it.
Stacey, this is the first NCAA tourney that I have not been in Vegas betting on. Veyr sad. My hubb yis so bumed out that we are not on our annual vacation this year. He had to work.

Bye all.

Default Help Quick!!

I'm trying to figure out what I can eat at CB & Potts tonight so that I don't snack on bad stuff. I was thinking about a Quesadilla, but this place isn't on Dott's website. Can anyone help me out if I get a chicken quesidilla and have barely any sour cream or guac???

I'll reply to everyone as soon as I can!

Default Ah!!!!

I may have it! I just looked in our WW book duh! I have 16 points left today. So 1/2 of a 6" Quesedilla is 6 points. I could have a whole one and 2 light beers and just skip the sour cream and guac. Am I delusional or do you think I'll be able to do it?

Lolly, Belle: OMG - I almost started crying just now. Really I'm not usually so emotional - I am at the girly time of the month - but anyway, after reading your encouragement about sharing my stats I just got all choked up. it was so hard admitting that I weighed as much as two whole people. ANd it's so good to talk to people who know what I'm going through. And I'm glad I'm not going through it alone.

i think we can all do this.

And per your suggestions - I can't remember exactly who suggested it - I ordered Geneen Roth's book on compulsive eating. I can't wait to read it.

You girls have a GREAT WEEKEND and a HAPPY ST. PATTY's day and I'll talk to you all on Monday (I weigh in Monday - so you'll also get a report!)

Default Ho, ho — read my new sig

It'll make you laugh! A friend sent that to me today. I don't know who said it.

I only have a minute to write. I've been busy, busy, busy today and I'm writing THREE, count em, THREE stories. I'll probably be here until 9 p.m. tonight, and then I have to work on Sunday! ARRGGHH! But a week from today, I'm leaving for FLORIDA! Yeah!

Congrats Belle, and any other losers out there.

Aren't GS cookies evil? How many points are in a Thin Mint, anyway? Today I had McDonald's for lunch, but I think I'll be OK. I always get a Happy Meal now, because it's the only way you can get a small order of fries. The cheeseburger and the fries is 12 points, which I figure isn't bad considering I only had ONE strawberry breakfast. Plus I got this cool little dog toy that barks. It's on my desk and goes off any time someone walks by. I've having great fun being really annoying.

Lolly, Kirsty: Let me just say I feel for you guys over there dealing with England's hoof-and-mouth crisis. I heard a story on NPR (National Public Radio) yesterday that made me cry. The reporter was interviewing a dairy farmer who had to put down 230 of her cows. She knew them all by name. Some of the cows would come running when she called for them. Jeez, what an awful thing.

Now, I gotta get going. Have a happy weekend and don't drink any GREEN BEER. Be strong!

Default Belle:

Belle: Wait an hour and see if you still want it. I would tend to say no, but make sure you are not going to cause a depravation problem by not having it. If you were resolved to stay at the low end today, chug some water. Hope that helps???

Default toys, toys

Belle: DON'T! Drink a glass of water instead!

Brenda: I'm definitely a toy person. On my desk at work, i have a Magic 8 Ball, a voo-doo doll (with a good side and a bad side!), a stress swishy ball, an Oscar Meyer weiner whistle and about three stuffed animals. And now my little barking dog. I used to have a yo-yo but I think someone stole it!
