Hey Girls
I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was good. Friday night I had dinner and drinks with the girls and I made some good choices I had a burger no bun and instead of fries they gave me broccoli
Aside from that one of my best friends is EXPECTING! So i need some hints on making baby stuff blankets etc
Saturday was much harder.. . we had the pig roast food wise I made good choices chicken and coleslaw and I save up enough carb grams to have 1/2 a hard cider so i did. People gave me such a hard time b/c I had half a cider. I ended up carrying around a beer all night and nursing it so people would get off my case. Mind you A I don't drink Beer and B my stomach was not pleased. but aside from the booze trauma the Pig roast was great good food good band good friends what more can a chick ask for. Sunday we took the caddy out for a while b/c it was too pretty to be inside we did fathers day dinner with Bfs dad (I'm not close with mine) and I had the best balsamic chicken! ofcourse bf and Isplit a dessert then we went to fly RC planes at the park and watched the sunset.

So Its Monday and Its a new leaf. I realized on friday I stay OP when I focus on the negative stuff.
And What I want to do is focus on the positive the goals I have for myself so that instead of running away from what I'm afraid could happen I'm running towards What I want to happen.
This way when I start to succeed I won't get lax I willget motivated towards More Goals.
Mine are as follows so far
1 be able to go for a walk with bf wthout having to rest and huffing and puffing.
2 finding delicious Low carb low fat foods So I can look forward to cooking and not obsess about it
3 hit the gym 3-5 times a week for aerobics and strength training
(bf is getting me my summer membership this week)
4 get strong and build endurance

As for #s I'm taking it 7 or 8 at a time and seeing what the pace is now that i'm on the higher carb phase of the program
BBIAB I have to do something for my mommie
Love Kier

Good morning Kieri! Such renewed vitality for a monday morning I have to admit I am feeling the same way. It is BEAUTIFUL here in Michigan. It has been all wknd. It always motivates me when the weather is like this. Hmmm maybe I should move to Hawaii! I am sure DH would love that since his fav vacation spots are the less warm ones like the U.P.

Anyways I am attempting to sign up for water aerobics for the second time at a diff. location. I will find out later today if there are openings. I am going to attempt to talk DH into pool passes for the summer so that we don't sit around on these beautiful days. He is very focussed on saving for a house as am I however I see the need for some splurges in the midst of our saving.

This wknd we did actually do some clothes shopping. I tried on my shorts that were a bit tight last summer and I ripped them I laugh about it now but on Saturday it cause a psychotic episode. Dh DOES NOT get it ! He is like you're a beautiful lady Blah Blah Blah! I do love that he says this I am quick to admit BUT I was still insufferable. Needless to say we went shopping yesterday and I bought a couple pairs of shorts and a top. I didn't want to buy too much b/c I hope to not be in this size for long. I have managed to squeeze into twelves throughout my entire wt loss/wt gain life and I had to go up a size. They are still a bit snug even. Ok I guess I am a bit chatty this a.m. I told you I was in a great mood despite my revelation on SAt.

I weighed this a.m. and I kept the 2lbs off. I am not sure if I lost last wk b/c TOM came yesterday so I will probably find out next Mon. when I weigh again. Well now that you are all caught up on my life I should get some work done

Good morning Kieri, Becky, everyone else

I ate way way way too much all weekend. It was a good weekend otherwise though! And I did manage to squeeze in 3-mile walks both days. One of my friends had a toga party Friday night which was excellent and I stayed in and watched way to many movies with my sisters on Saturday.

Kieri - Your weekend sounds like an excellent time - don't you just love summer when all of this is happening?!

Becky - Think of those clothes from last year as motivation! I finally fit into my motivational jeans last week (i've had them since september), and there is nothing better than the feeling of fitting back into clothes that did not work before. And you can do it! The 2# are gone forever!

Well gotta get back to work -- it's a new week, so I've gotta watch my eating again if I don't want all the pizza from last weekend to stick!

Morning!!!
I actually did my new tae bo tape yesterday!! I'm feeling so good. Actually, I'm feeling sore, but it's a good sore. I used to be so good at this stuff and I was feeling a little ill because I pushed it so hard. It's an eight minute workout but if I warm up a bit before and stretch out and do some abs after, it's an easy and effective half hour workout. We'll see if I can manage to keep it up. My size 16 shorts were a little tight this morning. Canada day pants will probably not happen in time.
Kier - Good job on the friday night dinner. and way to set some goals for the summer.
Becky - Second hand and consignment stores are always good for clothes that you won't be in for too long.
Angie - sounds like a fun weekend. Keep up the good walks!
I'd better get some monday stuff done. Have a great day everyone!

Hey Ladies -

Busy Monday @ work.

Kier - I love the "running towards not from" reasons for healthy eating. Have fun in my native state of MI even if you are going to the land of the trolls.

Becky - sorry about the name calling! I may not live there anymore but I'm a yooper at heart. Sorry about the shorts sweetie. It is a terrible feeling - just like losing buttons because clothes are too tight or the inside thigh of pants wearing holes from rubbing. Glad to see you using it as motivation rather than depression.

Angie - 6 miles in one weekend. Walk on Girl!

KT - Careful with the work-outs! I pushed myself so hard yesterday that I was sick to my stomach. But just the same - keep up the good work.

Had a quiet weekend as CB was out of town. Made it easy to stay OP and work-out. I did 80 minutes of yoga on Saturday and 2 different Firm tapes plus yardwork yesterday.

Seeing some results of being OP and working out consistently. Last Friday I was down 4.2lbs. I'm actually excited to see the scale this Friday!

Must get back to work as am running from job to job tonight and can't stay late.

Have a good afternoon all!

Laura

Hi everyone!! Just stopping in for a minute. I'm getting ready to go on vacation, so of course, I'm trying to finish a trillion things at work, finish packing (and wondering what I'm forgetting), you know how it is.

I'm so glad to hear the success of everyone on here. I wish I could say the same. Worrying about vacation is taking up all my time and energy, so eating is SO not good and will probably be consistently bad for the next week or so. But, I'm starting to plan now for when I get back from vacation and (hopefully) I won't have any excuses then.

I got on the scale last night. It read 180.5. How is it possible to put on this much weight this quickly? It boggles the mind... I just hope it comes off quickly.

Well, darlings, I would LOVE to take the time to really do some quality responding, but I've got to get back to work. Hopefully I'll get lots done today and I'll be able to write a nice response-filled post tomorrow.

Laura - I felt totally sick to my stomach. It's funny cause I used to be the cardio kick queen. But I will take it easy tonight and things should be better. Way to go 4.2#!!!
Jess - Make a list! If you don't want to forget anything that's important lists are great.

We had Lamb patties(burgers) grilled then I grilled some squash and Zuch in the lamb juices with a lil OO spray OMG dash of adobo I felt Gourmet
I was proud of myself today
I opened the micro to thaw the lamb and ofcourse come face 2 face with 2 giant ziplocks full of cookies and a thing of rasperry breakfast things (its hard to get gramma to eat) and I looked at it was tempted and then said to myself
That too sweet cookie is a roadblock on your race for feelin good
(they are too sweet and they don't taste good either)
I'm not goign to turn to food just b/c I'm having a long day

Jess - have fun on vacation!

KT - I tried to do 2 Firm tapes in a row. I think I'm fit enough to do 2 in a day - as long as I take time off between them. I took it easy today too - I did a WATP tape this morning and Yoga on my lunch hour.

Kierie - sorry you are having a hard day with grams. Yoopers refer to the people in the lower peninsula of MI as "apple knockers" (because of the apple trees) or "trolls" (because they live below the bridge).

Hmmm....really must quit message board addiction and work.
