  • Hello Again!!
You know, I posted earlier but forgot to mention all the fun things I did this weekend (besides eating, of course). Friday night, a couple of friends and I went to see Dave Attell. It was OK. He was so drunk he could barely stand, much less follow a train of thought. Saturday, Aaron and I bummed around all day. We went to grocery store to get some food for dinner, and went right back home. It was kind of nice. Yesterday, my friend Steph and I went and got manicures and pedicures. It was great. I picked the cutest color. Imagine a purple Easter egg. Now imagine that color on my toes and fingers. Cute, huh??

Laura--Sorry about the WATP weight comment nearly causing you to spit water... I just couldn't help it. YAY about staying OP all weekend, that seems to be the toughest time for everyone. And I know that you won't let yourself get out of control with the eating. Three days of success feels too great not to go for four.

Jayne--So, this woman in the string bikini, did she have the body to pull it off or was she one of those delusional women who cram themselves into something they have no business wearing? Of course, regardless of what she looked like in a suit, I just don't think a string bikini is appropriate to wear around children, for heaven's sake!! Maybe I'm just too conservative.

Kirsty--No, we didn't have misbehaved children over the weekend for dinner. We had bratwursts. Those things are so nasty greasy, but I still ate three of them. Of course, Aaron ate 7... Have an absolutely wonderful time in Scotland!! Someday I want to travel there--maybe you could tell me a few places to see. Even better, I'll just bring you along and we can go see places together.

Belle--I'm glad that Cirque de Soleil was so good. I'll have to keep an eye out and see if it comes to Omaha. Perhaps Aaron would let me drag him to it. YAY on the tankini, I'm very happy for you!! Way to go on the 5K, too--that's quite an accomplishment.

Angie--It sounds like you had a nice weekend. My mom is kind of the same way when it comes to WI's. She always gets so discouraged, though and I have to remind her that as long as she's doing what she's supposed to, in the long run, she'll show a loss no matter what her weekly WI's show. It's good that you know that and have a positive attitude about it.

KT--I know what it's like to have noisy people upstairs. In my first apartment, my roommate and I had two girls above us that were dance instructors and were always practicing. There were times we thought the cieling was going to cave in. They drove us totally nuts. Now I'm the person upstairs so I try to be as quiet as I can--I hate loud neighbors and therefore never want to become one.

Kier--HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Sorry I forgot to say that when I started the thread. It was too early in the morning for my brain to fully function. It sounds like you have nice plans, have a fabulous time!! And what is it with the toilet being the "think tank" for guys? I just don't get it... I personally do my best thinking when I'm lying in bed waiting to fall asleep. Of course, 80% of the time I forget what I was thinking about. Definitely post your salad recipe, I'm sure it'll be wonderful.

Kim--Here's my cheerleading about going to the WW meeting. Is weight loss an important goal for you? Would you say that reaching your goal weight will be more rewarding that saving that $10 a week for meeting that will help you reach it? YES, you would. So, kiddo, you gotta bite the bullet, spend the money, and find success. Now go out on that field and kick some ***! (Whoops, got a little carried away). Gimme a G! G! Gimme an O! O! What does it spell? GO! GO! GO! OK, that's enough...

OK, lovely ladies, it's almost time for me to hit the road for the day. I'll see you all tomorrow!!
  • Kim - Jess gave you some great advice to think on. I always found it easier to be OP when I was eating alone because I didn't have to accomodate anyone elses eating needs/wants. What about keeping a food journal and sharing that with DH each day? CB has been peeking over my shoulder into mine and I find I'm reluctant to eat the quantities I'd like because I don't want him knowing I can and will eat that much!

Kierie - I do my best thinking in the car, while driving, which means I'm not thinking about driving....fellow commuters beware!

Jess - sounds like your day got better - you seem more chipper. Have fun at work tonight. I'll try to do the same - I work in a sporting goods store which is a fun environment but some customers take their bad day out on us which isn't any fun at all.

Becky, Jess, Jayne - I did WATP walk/kick this morning. It is such fun. It is only 30 min but ups the heart rate more than the 2 mile video.

Guess what ladies? My boy begged a favor from his 2 best buds and for the price of baked spaghetti and beer they will move my treadmill from the garage to the spare room on Thursday. I'm so excited.

    Have a great night.

    Laura
