Default Happy Tuesday

Hi All,

Just a quick update, my eating hasn't been the greatest as of late, but it is slowly improving. I hope all you ladies are doing well. I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut for dinner last night bad me, well it did make it a 5 point dinner.

I am just still feeling a bit emotionally drained from the last few weeks. I want to be asleep all the time and everything. I should be okay though. Gotta get my head together for school!

Anyhoo, have a good day!

Ali

Good Morning Ali-I have never had a Krispy Kreme Donut, I don't think they have them in Maine. Just the name sounds good, I'll bet it was good.

I have stayed within my points for two days now. I just want to maintain because tomorrow night I am getting my 10% award at WI because I couldn't stay at the meeting last week. Wouldn't that be embarresing (sp?) if I gained! I only have a .02lb window. I think I'll run on the treadmill for about 6 hours today. I'll check in later.

Default Good Morning!

Morning everyone! Just a quickie post...

Things are going so-so, WW-wise, but I have been doing the WATP tapes (and boy, are my calves feeling it!), so maybe I'll have a good WI. I feel skinnier, so maybe I weigh less.

I have a date tonight. I haven't told Aaron and I'm not sure how to approach that. I may just say I'm meeting a friend for dinner, because that's not a lie. He is a friend. I don't know that anything will come of it, I'm not sure how interested I am, and I still love Aaron so of course this guy will never compare. Then again, maybe he'll sweep me off my feet... I've been stressed about all of this. So stressed that I got a pimple!!

Ali--Krispy Kreme donut, yummy! I hope things look up for you, you sound so exhausted, poor thing.

Robin--I'm sure that things will go great at your meeting tonight, I have confidence in you. And even if you're up a smidge, it'll be back off next week, kiddo!

OK, I gotta get some work done. I'll try to stop back!

Default Ahoy!!

I have been MIA with my sister in "common law" here, and her b/f. We've been super busy. I like having them but they are super messy and it does get on my nerves a bit. But they leave tomorrow, so we are taking them out to dinner tonight - to a greek place. I will have eaten only 10 points by dinner time, so I can eat at the restaurant, but its hard to know what is good and what isn't. ON the weekend I ate a moroocan feast (OH MY GOD was it good) and all you can eat sushi (which is low point anyway, but I ate a lot). I managed to maintain at WI today, which means that the exercise paid off - I have been good about going to the gym last week (this week too!). I am also expecting TOM (unless I am PG) so hopefully that comes off too...

Kim! Hey girl, I got your PM. I'll e-mail you. Glad to see you are back on teh board!!

Ali - I still haven't had the Krispy Kreme either, but I hear they are awesome. I am sorry to hear you are so exhausted. don't forget to take time out for yourself - you need an emotional break.

Robin - I am sure you'll be fine and get your 10%. Good luck!!

Hey Jess!! I had the same problem with last b/f - telling him I moved on when I our relationship was "grey". But there is a difference, he was a huge abusive moron. And he guilted me into still spending time with him because he'd always say he'd kill himself, etc without me. Well, he's still not dead!!

I have to run today - its killer at work. No rest for the wicked!!

Have a good day - OP - and let me know if you have any suggestions for the Greek restaurant (besides eat like mad and start over tomorrow...).

BBL!!

HI everyone. Not too much to post. Hubby had a job interview today and we are totally stressed over it. Our company is very small and family run (my family). But due to the current economy problems, we are looking at more cutbacks. And we have put a lot into the company and are facing some financial issues because of the crappy economy. So he is looking elsewhere. The stress is that this will hurt our company, but at the moment we need to look out for us. If we have cuts again, I will be piled with a ton of more work, and at the moment I am already piled. Our only hopes are that we will pull through. If he doesn't get a job or doesn't think he will like it, at least he is safe here for the time being.

So that is me.

Jess, good luck. Lately I have been thinking a lot of my wild single days and miss them so much. Being PG and cooped up will do that to you!

Robin, good luck getting your 10%. I still have my key chain, even tho I never made goal before getting PG and now am WAY over 10%. Heck, I am right up where I started after having Emma. Tho lately I haven't been snacking as much. I am just plain old tired of being PG!

Jayne, YIKES on pink eye. I got that 2 years ago and had to where glasses to work because it was so disgusting. No one else in my family got it, so we think I got it at the gym. This morning I woke up and my eyes were very itching... like the razor itches. I hope it is just spring doing that to me. If not I will blame you!

OK, guess I better get back to work!

Morning everyone. No job action yet today so that's a good thing. My face is burning though. I have an infection that's driving me crazy and the antiboitics don't seem to be helping. I've only taken 5 so far so I'll wait another day and see what happens. I'm worried that these will make be gain weight. I feel bloated and just plain miserable and no amount of eating seems to get rid of my hunger pains. I had a HUGE stir-fry for dinner last night and I was ravenous about 2 hours later. Anyone know anything about the side effects of Erythromicin? (I think that's how to spell it) Well, I guess we'll see what happens at WI tonight. I'd really like to break 200# again. Oh well, so much for my whining...
Ali - when did they get Krispy Creme in Canada? And how could you defect from our national treasure? Tim Horton's rocks!
Robin - you're so close. It will be great to get that 10%. Keep up the good work!
Jess - did you and Aaron ever discuss being exclusive? Or not being exclusive? Have fun and relax. It's just dinner with a friend after all.

I also made a cardinal sin last night, I stepped on my own scale last night - I haven't stood on it since my nephew used it as his own personal step stool when he stayed over and it was all out of whack. Now I have no idea if I've actually gained those 5# or if my scale is just wrong. More stress towards WI. I'll be back later. Hi to anyone else stopping by.

OK, Belle and Jen, we were posting at the same time.
Belle - my suggestion is to stick with the grilled foods (souvlaki is good for that) hopefully they don't baste them with too much butter. and ask for dressing on the side if you go with a healthy greek salad. Usually olive oil so it's not all that bad as far as points go. And enjoy yourself!!
Jen - that could suck for your company, especially with you going off on Maternity leave but you're right, you need to look out for your family first.
OK, now really back to work

Hi All!

Ali - get some sleep! How's your BF doing?

Robin - water, water, water - it will flush you out before WI. Good Luck!

Jess- You've never made it sound as though you and Aarron are exclusive again in which case, you going out with someone isn't something he even needs to know about.

Belle - eating when you have company gets tough doesn't it? Good job on the exercise.

JenL - best of luck to your hubby. I think that 1 of you looking for a job outside the family business is a smart move - protecting your family's financial future is paramount.

KT - just remember that even if the scale shows you up that it is related to the antibiotics. Once you are done with the meds your body should return to normal.

Have been busy at work which is good. Got more paint chips last night..oh my gosh....I'm going to make myself crazy before I manage to decide on colors for the rest of the house. Eating is going well - Jayne's plan is brilliant. I haven't felt that sudden deprivation at all which makes it much easier to make healthy choices. Working out has been good too did Cardio Sculpt yesterday and have yoga class tonight.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hey girls,

Such a beautiful day over here on the east coast! It makes it really hard to stay here in my windowless cubilcle, although if I went home I'd probably just be sitting on my couch anyway I've been trying to re-commit to eating right for a while now, and am having the hardest time! It's not so much with my food choices - had kashi, apple and huge salad so far today, but with quanity. I just want to eat ALL the time. I do alright at work, but then just get home and pig out. When I lost the weight last year I had roommates, so it kind of kept me in check. Having 2 or 3 dinners isn't something I'd normally do with other people around! I try not to deliberately set myself up for this pig out and try to eat about 2/3 of my calories before work, but it just doesn't seem to matter. Maybe it just boils down to willpower, something I've never had much of!

I didn't have Krispy Kremes till I came down "south" to DC. They're really good, but (and I may get lynched for saying this), I don't think they're really all that different from a Dunkin Donuts glazed donut. I would have to eat like 5 of them though to replace a meal...

Jess, I don't know the whole Aaron story, but it's great you're trying to move on. I've been caught up in a situation recently where I fell in love with this guy who is awful for me, and I am just having the hardest time getting over it. I just need to forget him and move on.

MMM, Greek food. KT is right with her suggestions, but the rare times I go, I totally get the worst things - mousaka, spanikopita, etc. I am half greek, so we have that stuff around for holidays usually. Greek olives are my favorite!

Robin, good luck at weigh-in. No pressure, right At least it's getting warmer so you have an excuse to wear some really lightweight clothes, just for some extra cushion!

Lots of talking going on today!

Ok, now this is gonna sound stupid. What is pink eye? I've never had it, never known anyone who had it...and only heard about it on that South Park episode hehe

Ali - In New England, Dunkin' Donuts is the thing. Am I right Robin? I LOVE DD's! I have had Krispy Kreme, but still prefer DD

Robin - You should get that 10% even if you gain this week because you reached it last week. But you know what? We all have off-weeks, so don't sweat it. Just try to get back OP and continue from there and don't get into a slump becuase then you may never get out, and we don't want that to happen!

Jess - Wow, I don't really have any good advice for you cause I've never been in a situation like that. I mean, you're not BF/GF right so I don't see why he has to know, I guess its just do you want him to know or not.

Jen - Once the baby comes I'm sure you'll get back on track. I can't imagine what I would be like if I were PG. Prolly pigging out and gaining way too much weight cause I'd be all emotional all the time....I'm an emotional eater Let us know when your husband hears about the job. That doesn't sound like a good position to be in, but hopefully things will work out for the best.

Belle - I have never had greek food. At least, not that I know of! But wherever I go, I stick to grilled stuff or salads if I'm not sure of the ingredients.

KT - why?!?! why?!?! Just kidding Don't go by your scale, you know its not calibrated specifically to the WW scales and that will show you your true loss/gain. I don't even know why I have my scale. I use it too. But why? Its never accurate. I guess sometimes I get a little obsessive and use it a lot, then go through times where I never use it. I should just throw it out.

Laura - oooh oooh let me pick the color and I'll make it really easy for ya! I want so bad to do some interior design stuff like on Trading Spaces and While You Were Out hehe.

So, whats new here? Yesterday I had cravings all day and didn't give in...until last night. It was horrible. Then I didn't care what I ate for dinner after that. *sigh* But today has been good so far and I even got through going out to lunch with co-workers (salad with grilled chicken and FF dressing always works!).

So I'm really psyched because DF and I are going to look at a house this weekend. It is in Providence, a 3 bedroom 1 bath with a 2 car detached garage, new vinyl windows, vinyl siding, hardwood floors, wall-to-wall carpeting. I'm just wondering the condition of the inside because the price is so low (85k down from 90k originally). It's not in the good neighborhood but its not in the bad one either, and its the last house on a dead-end street so that makes me feel a little better too.

I feel crappy because I couldn't go to the gym this morning. I banged my knee on my coffee table this morning really hard, and it hurts and its bruised, so I can't do much (walking hurts!). But I'm going to try to go for a walk after work...maybe that will make me feel better.

Well, back to work. Have a great day!

Lori - ICE - 10 minutes on, 5 off. It will make you feel better and then nothing too high impact. The blood vessels need time to heal. (leg lifts and arm weights maybe?) That house sounds amazing - let us know how it goes.
Lexxy - try setting yourself a deadline," I will not eat after 7pm" - or whenever. It works wonders for the willpower.
Laura - what is Jayne's plan? I must have missed it.

Good afternoon-I have been doing so great staying OP for the last 3 days. I have had to put on belts for two pairs of jeans because I keep having to hitch them up. BTW-do you know I am the oldest one here? Am I in the wrong age category support group? I am going to be 36 in June. I feel like an old lady compared to you guys. Well, I hope you'll still let me stick around because you're an awful lot of fun.

Jess-Update me. I'm not good at remembering things (I'm old, you know). Is Aaron your ex-boyfriend? Why do you have to tell him you have a date? Have fun-hope you click.

Belle-I don't even know what they serve at Greek Restaraunts (sp?). Just stick with what you know and ask them for condiments, etc on the side. Have fun.

Jen-You sound like you are under a lot of stress. I hope your husband finds work. Is he looking for something part time or is he going to leave the company altogether? Don't get too stressed-remember...you're stressing for two. Take care.

KT-Throw that scale out! I never step on mine because it's always different from the one at WW. I got this off a website... The most frequent side effects of oral erythromycin preparations are gastrointestinal and are dose-related. They include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and anorexia. Symptoms of hepatitis, hepatic dysfunction and/or abnormal liver function test results may occur.

Laura-Is the plan from Jayne you're talking about going from your highest points down to the lowest? I have been drinking tons of water today. I want to paint my living room but haven't even thought about what color yet.

Lexxy-I am hoping to weigh in naked.

Lori-The house sounds great. Imagine what you'll be able to do with it after watching all of those episodes of Trading Spaces and While You Were Out? Hope your knee feels better. And yes, Dunkin Donuts are awesome. I could eat 2 dozen of those glazed donut holes, in fact in the past I have. Pink eye is another name for conjunctivitis, it is an infection in your eye. It kind of feels like there is sand in your eye and it usually has a gooey discharge. I am not a doctor but I play one on TV.

Hi Robin thanks for the info. I find the warnings never include things like water retention cause it's not really important as all those other things in the grand scheme of things. I'll find out tonight I guess.

Am I reading correctly that that antibiotic may cause anorexia???

Lori, you're lucky you've never had pink eye, it's pretty nasty and highly contagious.

Seems like there are lots of Trading Spaces fans...did anyone see the one that was on this past weekend, with new guy doing the purple office and (I forget her name) doing the brown and orange room? I loved both rooms, which is rare. The woman who's living room was painted brown was total psycho about it. I mean, I can understand not liking a color I suppose, but when it looks that good, does it matter if it's not your favorite? Ahh, just my 2 cents, I'd love to have that room!
