Default Hump-Day Thread

Morning y'all. I am so pumped...I had a great weigh-in last night. I was down 3.2 pounds. I don't think I've ever gone down that much at once before. Of course, the stomach flu gets most of the credit, but hey - I'll take it any way I can get it!

I'm still trying to catch up with yesterday's thread. Deb and Belle, you will have to post pictures of your new places. Both sound wonderful! JenL, good to finally hear from you again. I hope things settle down at work for you soon. How is Emma? Laura, I'm so glad that you are going to be here every day -- I've missed you. Angie, I can't wait to try making the pizza -- sounds great. I'm also thinking that would make a great foccacia bread. To anyone I may have missed, I'll come back and catch you later...after I catch up on my post=reading.

Thank god it's a 3 day weekend for me! I'm soo looking forward to having Monday off, since I am working Sat & Sun at job #2. Back to the grindstone ...
Classes start 1/27 also - they're in the evenings.

Jayne - Woohoo on the loss! You go girl! I'm trying so hard. It's getting better, but not any easier - trying to journal and stay OP. Yesterday I was w/in range. I'm going to shoot for today too.
How is Aaron doing?

Hope everyone's Wednesday is off to a good start ... and stays that way!

Talk to you later!

Good morning!!

I hope everyone had a good night! Things were much better here...looks like Emma is feeling a LOT better. I actually got some sleep last night!

I have been feeling kinda crappy on and off for the past couple of weeks. Bouts of diarhea, nautious...just not feeling well. My doctor called me last night and said that my liver levels are going up again. I was having some major problems for the past few months with my liver which was caused by the medications I was taking for my arthritis. Well, I have since gone off all meds and it looked like my levels were coming down....but now they are on there way back up and the symptoms are returning. I thought maybe it was just the bug that has been going on...but it feels exactly like it was before when I was sick. I am starting to get scared because this time there is no reason (not on the meds) for my levels to be getting high again. I'm frustrated, my doctor is frustrated, and meanwhile my arthritis continues to get worse because I am not on any medication other then celebrex (which does squat), 3-4 cortisone injections every 3-4 weeks.

Ok, I am done venting and complaining.

Unfaithful Someone asked about this movie in yesterdays thread. (sorry I can't remember who right now). Dh and I watched it last night...and I don't think I liked it that much. IT was very different. I wouldn't recommend it.

Jayne Congrats on your loss!! who hoo!

Little D Hi!

Have a great OP day!

Morning,

My sore throat is definately worse. It might be a good diet though b/c it hurts too much to swallow so I am pretty limited in what I'm eating right now. Didn't sleep very well last night either so I'm not at my best this a.m. I have lots to do today before work & I really don't feel like dong anything

Jayne, woohoo on your big loss!! Who cares what did it-at least it happened!

Angie, I hope that you are feeling better & that they figure out what's up with your liver. That's a little stressful.

Deb, glad to hear you have a little break in your busy schedule on Monday. Hope that you are able to make some time for yourself.

Hey to everyone else out there. Come out & play

Good morning girls!

I went to WI today and I was up 2# - but I am OK with that b/c I know I have not been diligent and I have been under a lot of stress/change with literally no time for cooking and eating at home, so I am happy it wasn't worse! Plus, the past 2 days I have been competely OP so I know its not going to be so high next week.

Jayne - congrats on your #'s down!! Nothin' like the flu to help speed things up!!

Hi Deb! Glad its going better, if not easier. I don't know if it ever gets easier, but you will press on!! Keep your spirits up!!

Angie - Yikes. Your arthritis sounds very bad! I am sorry to hear that. I have a friend with bad arthritis as well, its quite brutal for her. I hope its not anything serious with your symptoms!

Rina - another sickie!! Keep your bug in your own province! Hee hee......I hope it doesn't turn into a worse cold for you. Suck on some zinc lozenges!

Well tonight is my first Bellydancing class of the year! My sister and her friend joined, but neither are able to come tonight, so I am on my own. That's OK - I don't really mind, i was on my own last semster! Its only an hour.

Well, I better get going and get some work done. I have to go tour a homeless shelter we are sponsoring in an hour....sounds like fun....

Default Hello!

Good morning, everyone! I'm excited! We're in a winter storm advisory and rumor has it that we're going to get andywhere from 4-8 inches of snow! Whoohoo! I know a lot of people aren't happy about it, but we desperately need the moisture. Besides, I like snow. I even wore my snow-invoking shirt today. It's a yellow long-sleeve t-shirt with two cute little stick figure kids and a snowman on it. I know, I'm a dork.

I didn't do so great staying OP last night, but I really don't feel all that bad about it. It's TOM and sometimes you just can't stay away from the chocolate. Today will be better, so I'm not fretting.

Tonight's big plans include working out after work, if I can talk myself into it, that is. Then, I'm going home to enjoy the snowfall.

Jayne--Way to go on your 3.2 lb loss!! You deserve a dancing monkey!

Deb--I so wish I could look forward to a 3-day weekend. I hope you enjoy it and take a little time to pamper yourself!

Angie--It's frustrating to not know what's wrong, but I have a lot of faith in medicine and in you! I'm sure you'll be feeling 100% soon!

Rina--I'm having a little sore throat business, too. At least I can look forward to losing a little of my holiday lbs if I get sick. There's a silver lining, I guess.

Belle--Have fun belly dancing!

I better get some work done. I stayed home for a couple hours this morning due to cramps, so I gotta getta move on.

Jess....It is SO snowing here right now....talk about a blizzard! Myself, I can't stand the stuff....I wish it were spring right now!

Belle...Good attutude about your wi. Glad you are not letting it get to you. It'll be off before you know it.

Rhubarb...I hope your throat is feeling better. It's no fun to feel crappy.

Thanks for all your well wishes...I am feeling pretty good...I find I am worse in the morning or after a meal. Guess it helps me too with not eating.

ANgie

Angie - Your girls are so cute! And you can really see your progress through those pictures you have taken...you are doing wonderful! Sorry to hear about your medical problems, though My brother has arthritis and is only 20 years old. Its a side effect of the Chrone's that he has. Poor kid. Has to take medicine every day for the rest of his life to keep it in check.

Jayne - Congrats on the loss

Belle - Don't sweat it. Hopefully next week will be better. Just put it behind you!

Jess - sorry you weren't feeling well this morning. I get the Depo shot, so I don't have that problem anymore. Before, I used to have to stay home AT LEAST 1 day every time TOM came around.

Rina - wow we have a lot of sickies here lately huh? Don't pass it on to me!!!!

Deb - I get Monday off too, but I still have to babysit in the afternoon. At least I will get to sleep late, and I'm happy for that.

BBL!

Hi All -

Hope your days are going better than mine (more on that in a minute)

Jayne - congratulations. 3.2 is a big deal. I've missed you too!

Angie - hope the Dr.'s can figure out a way to make you feel better soon.

Belle - bellydancing sounds like fun. Tell us all about it tomorrow.

Jess - I'm so jealous of your snow! Please fedex me some.

Sorry that I don't have time for replies to everyone. I had to take a half day off work to wait on the dryer repair guy.....who never showed up! When I called Sears to figure out what was going on they said he was running late and that he should be there around 2PM but if he didn't show by 4:30 PM to call them back and they'd reschedule for another day. Mind you he was supposed to be there at 9:00 AM with a window of 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. When they told me that they wouldn't be able to deduct any money from the repair bill to compensate for the inconvenience and they couldn't gaurantee that he could be there today, I lost my temper and told them to cancel the service because I was taking my business to a company that appreciated it's customers. So now I've got to find a reputable company that can repair my dryer. And of course - take more vacation time to wait on their repair guy. I hate taking vacation time to deal with household repairs!

Have a good afternoon everybody.
