Hi, Turtles,

Wow, Kathy, what a breakthrough that was. Your anniversary dinner sounds yummy. Congrats on the anniversary. How many years have you been married? Good luck with your weigh in tomorrow. Hope our challenge is helping you.

Things are going OK here. I'm feeling better. I think it was easier to get past this right now because, unlike when we first moved here, I'm busy and it's not all boring routine housework. I have interesting things to do.

I know that as a responsible adult, I need to find work, but I'm not going to let myself go crazy over the local job situation. When I find jobs that fit my needs-I can get to them via the bus and they're not industrial stuff I don't know how to do, I'll apply. Meantime, I'll keep doing the best I can to manage on our income.

One of the women on the web site has a reputation for being the toughest critiquer of anyone. Well, she totally trashed my premise. But she trashed the original one, not the revised one. After I tossed out the parts that referred to stuff I'd already changed or disagreed with her about, I've been thinking about the rest of what she said. I'm not sure what I'm going to do to fix the problems she noticed that I missed. So, I have a ton of work to do this week. I have to redo the last two assignments, read the assigned chapter, and write about 3000 words for our assignments this week. That's how many words we're supposed to end up with. Which means writing a lot more, revising, and polishing. Holly said that next week there will be even more work to do. It's great and I'm learning so much.

Happy turtlin'!

Hi Turtles..Well it is weigh in today..Willl it be down??? I really think so. I am going to down water this morn until it is time..I can tell I was totally dehyrdrated this am, and you know what happens when you are dehyrdrated....you retain water, and you weight more, oh it will go away when you release it, so I want to release it before weigh in.

Had an interesting yesterday. Did pretty good up till dinner, then my work partner was going to the little mexican resturant to pick up stuff so On a whim I ordered 2 soft taco's, 1 chicken, 1 spicy pork. You want to hear something neat??? I could not even eat a 3/4th of the pork taco. I endedup putting the chicken one in the frige for any nurse that got hungry during the night. In the past I couldhave eaten both of them, no sweat. I now realize how important it is to listen to your body regarding hunger and fulless. Now I do get hungry on this diet, esp when I have to go more then 5 hours to eat. I do that when I work. I eat around 12-1, then am not allowed to go on dinner break till 6:30. So about 5:00, boy do I get hungry. it is a good feeling..I like it..I sometimes can get a bit of my dinner to eat, or I drink some water, or I just feel it. It doesn't really last till I eat, It just rumbles for about 5 minutes and then it goes away. It is a very good think to not eat till you are hungry. There is a food plan called Weigh Down Workshop that is totally on this premise. Never did so good on it, but some people lost tons.

Anyway way I am very proud to announce I only ate 3/4 of the taco. Now I do have to honestly say, I should have choose a better meat, I should have ate the chicken one and left the spicy pork one, but...oh well!!!

Well got to go drinkwater..Weigh in is in 45 minutes...got to get un puffy..

See ya

Kathy

I am really going to miss these people who are moving, I have known them for 20 years. My daughter and her daughter live with each other in Louisana. they are moving to Walla Walla Washington. I am sooo sad, bu so excited about going out to their country house to say farwell (although they will not actually be leaving for 45 days.. that is how long their escrow is..

Well see ya later, wil report back prob tonight or tomorrow.

Hi guys,
I posted a really long reply and it's gotten lost in cyber space.
Anyway--things are looking up for me. I'm down a couple of pounds and that's very encouraging. Hooray.

Lin, I'm glad you've got so much going for yourself right now.

Miata, your cheerfulness is much appreciated.

Lauren, how did the interview with U of Mich. go? I hope the pay is better than you expected.

I'll be going to a family reunion at the end of next week. I have already set aside some things to bring with me. Ind. boxes of raisins, angelfood cake and lite cherry filling, etc. I don't want to rain on any parades, but I really don't want to overeat nonstop and gain weight on vacation.
Good vibes to you all,
Judy

Hi Turtles...Well my bbq was wonderful. I prob overate, but right now I am not going to beat myself up over it. There are people who get to do this kind of thing all the time, (go to picnics, people's houses, bbq's) but not us. My dh usually won't go which means I don't go, He went this time, and although he didn't have a great time, I did. In fact he went home kinda early, and I stayed with my dd & sil. The place I so beautiful. It is like up in a forest, takes 30 minutes to get there from the paved county rd, and we (my family) were the first to see the property even before they built both garage and house. Now it is sold and I got to talk to other dear friends, the new owners, the little kids who will spend there lives in the beautiful place. I did over eat. But I weighd in this am, still the same, so unless I do it again, and again and again, I think I will be ok. Today's menu consists of breakfast: WW dinner, and steak and vegies fo dinner. Will stay within points, and drink my water...bow flex is up and running pretty much so will learn how to use it to its fullest. Am thinking about getting rid of the health club a month early (aug) and joining curves for a few months..it is only $29. And if I like it maybe i can do both, curves and bow flex. I just want to make sure Iget enought cardio.

Will talk your ear off later..
