  • Hi Everyone,

Wow, the nest is really rocking again. Good to see. I had a very small seizure (facial only) no falling down, on Friday and I went to see my doctor. He really doesn't know what is going on. He gave me some ideas though. He said that where I have lost so much weight that maybe my body is making the same ammount of insulin as it made when I was heavier, and that could make my blood sugar drop and cause me to pass out. He also said that dehydration could do that and I sure don't drink enough liquids. This one is the one I think is most likely, I have consistently low blood pressure, usually around 114/63 and any drop in my blood sugar could lower my blood pressure enough to make me pass out and possible have a seizure, I know I had a seizure last sunday but the other times Steve said I just dropped unconscious on the floor and then got right back up. He wants to cover all the bases just in case so will be setting me up with an EEG, a neurological exam and wear a heart monitor for a couple day so we will see. In the meantime, I have to make sure I eat every couple hours or so, that should be easy, LOL! I have actually been skipping meals here and there, I just get so busy. The good news is that Steve and I went to 6 flags friday night and I went on all the scary rides and nothing happened to me, so that is a good sign. Oh yeah he said no more depo shots in case the is the cause.

Kina, welcome to the night owls, it is always nice to welcome someone else into our nest. I look forward to getting to know you.

Erica, sounds like you have it under control since the party. I often reverse bank points when I eat too much and that sounds like basically what you are doing too. 4lbs, wow what a great loss, whatever you are doing is working very well, keep it up.

PJ, how is the horse doing? Better I hope. Boy I know what you mean about going over points when you drink alcohol, I almost always do when I drink, When I have 4 or 5 bud lights, then get the munchies, watch out, LOL!!

Candice, I just love Oprah and now that my hours are different at work maybe I can start catching it again.

Judygal, how are you doing? I hope you are healing up nicely. When will you know how the biopsy turns out? I wish you all the luck in the world and will keep you in my thoughts.

Setina, Hey girl!! It is good to see you post. thanks for the nice thoughts and I am sure hoping it is just the shot and I really belive itis. YFF

    Later everyone
    Brenda
  • Brenda - Hang in there. Boy, first there were the car accidents that you and I got in around the same time....now we've got same symptoms of the mystery "thing". My blood pressure is low too. They say I'm not getting enough oxygen to my brain.....(gee, if only I could use that excuse for a million and one things ).......I hope everything comes back fine....and that you're feeling well soon.

Judygal - I too ..... have those bumps on my chest. Small red ones and a couple of larger brown ones. I'm getting them removed and tested next month. I hope you're feeling no pain real soon and back to yourself. I know it's got to really be sucky not feeling well when you FINALLY got out of school. Here's to your quick recoop!

Candice - Ok......I'm ready for you now. All the "stuff" I planted when I first moved in here two months ago is starting to really go nuts......we've had alot of rain FINALLY......IT WAS REALLY BADLY NEEDED.........anyway, here's a picture of my lillies that I'm very proud of. I'll show you more tomorrow.

Sweet Dreams everyone........P.S. Look at the last thread!! I posted pictures of my new foal "Miracle". I explained everything in the post.....so go take a peek if you'd like.
    Hugs,
  • Here's one more of my "Pentas".......very hardy for the brutal summer heat here in Fla. U.S.A.
  • Hi Everyone!

I am so tired but I had to check in.

PJ-Congrats on Miracle...He is so beautiful! and I hope your other baby is feeling better and thanks again for the links to your pictures. I actually found mine that I had put out there and the picture when I had lost a lot of weight, MOTIVATION! Beautiful Lillies!

Brenda-You be careful girl! Glad you are getting everything checked out. YFF

Judygal-Hope you are healing up fast and hope the biopsy's come out ok. You are in my prayers (as all the sickly owls!)

Candice-I just love all the flowers! I have to figure out what to plant but we have a water ban here so I have to work with that too..I can only water on even days after 10pm.

Erica-Congrats on the 4 pounds! Way to go!!!!!!

Kina-Welcome! This is a great bunch of gals!!!! Look forward to getting to know you better.

I know I am leaving someone out but I can't think of who it is..old age I guess

Tara & Emmy and everyone else-Where are you? Miss you!!!!

My friend's (who is my WW leader too) wedding (renewing vows after 35 years) was BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Her little grandkids were too funny..they said "so you guys split up and now you have to get married again?"...they said we dont remember you being split up..it was too funny...i explained they were just getting married again so they could be flower girls, ring bearers and we could have a party. Her kids flew her twin sister and her hubby in and bought them matching outfits as the wedding party, they hid in the bushes and the priest said "does anyone object to this couple renewing their vows after 35 years" and her brother in law started hollering up the hill...she didn't have her glasses on and could not tell who it was at first and was getting mad then she thought to herself those people have on the same clothes as the my kids and then she realized it was her sister and started crying it was so sweet. Her husband is a Marine so he was dressed in his blues and her dress was beautiful. I have never been one that wanted to dance but her husband who is my "adopted dad" danced with all the daughters and the he said Setina come on....I was like oh no...but I couldn't say no. My other friend (her daughter) husband put together a slide show of pictures and it was wonderful..lots of happy tears! She said if they didn't have a penny to their name they would be the richest people in the world because of their family and friends. It was a great day!....One of the slides was her before picture too and it was amazing to see how far she came..she lost like 112.

Well, I better hit the hay.
    Have a great evening!
    Setina
  • Pj..I'm sorry.........I got that impression when you were posting about those friends that were living with you...you remember them don't ya! I thought you said you let too many people take advantage of your friendship............once again sorry

I used to be a doormat! Then with the fibro I had to learn to say no to people, now I don't do too much for anyone or let them take advantage of me (sometimes it is esier to not say anything than to make a comment) but usually I comment!

Love your pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wow you just moved in and you had time to garden I'm impressed!
  • Good Morning and ~Happy Fathers Day~

Candice - No need to apologize. I DID let her take advantage of me but I kept telling myself it was "for the kids sakes" and it really was. It's so hard when there are children were involved. Who knows what's going on now......I would like to be able to say "I don't care" but I'd be a liar if I did. I've known them (the kids) their whole lives and I've known Christine for over 20 years. Hard NOT to wonder if they're O.K. I'm sure you know what I mean. I also know what YOU mean when you say your Fibro made you change. It's so true.....you just HAVE to start telling people that you come first ..... that's just the way it is. It was hard on my kids and husband at first but now they understand when I need time to myself or some rest. I have to say.......even with the pain......it makes it so much more bearable when your family understands and helps out alot. By the way, don't laugh now. I give my horse Flax Seed and I take it too ....it's got many bio-maga vitamins in it and is WONDERFUL for Fibro. Really helps your joints and will give you georgous hair and nails. It will take about a month to notice and real difference in your pain....atleast that's about how long it took for me. I noticed little things at first but after the third week...I really noticed the changes. I put it in my morning slim fast shake. I drink the soy kind where I just add water and ice and then I just put about 1 TBP of the ground flax seed in it. You need to drink ALOT of water afterwards.....unless you want to be gagging all morning... ......you can get flax seed at Farm feed or ranch feed stores......MUCH cheaper than if you buy it in a health food store and it IS THE SAME THING. I grind mine in my coffee grinder. I do about 2 cups at a time and you need to make sure you don't let it get hot or it can be toxic. That's why I only do 2 cups at a time so the coffee grinder doesn't over heat. Hey, it's worth a shot....give it a try. It costs about $4.00 for a 5lb. bag that is ALREADY ground if you get it at feed stores. If not......just type in flax seed in your SEARCH engine and it will pull up LOADS of info for you and where to get it. It will also tell you all the benefits of it. Soooooooo, my fello Fibro girl.....happy reading.

Setina - The wedding sounds beautiful.......I'm glad you danced. Who wouldn't want to dance with my beautiful "southern Belle".

Well, our "sick" horse....."knott" is his name....is doing fine. He's in the paddock closest to the house right now so I can keep an eye on him. His owner should be here soon but I fed them all around 7am and he needs to get OUT and moving so his bowels can "move" .......if you know what I mean. That's what I think caused his problems in the first place....since he had been stalled for over a week due to all the stitches he had from his accident. Anyway, all is well today. Big Bill is lying on the couch relaxing and watching the sports channel....Li'l Billy is getting ready to go out with me to get "something" for Bill so that's my cue to say "see ya'll later.
    Have a great Sunday!!!!

  • Good Morning Owls!

Boy did I sleep good last night!

Candace-I used to be the major doormat but I am getting better. I am going to check that link out. I have always had a hard time saying NO but I am getting better about it....evening saying **** NO sometimes

PJ-You are to much girl...I guess I just never liked to dance because I have been overweight..I always wanted to but I just feel awkward. It was nice and how can you say no to a fine looking man in uniform Your flowers are beautiful!!! I really need to win the lotto, fly all the owls to my new house and have all the "green thumbs" help me with the flowers

Hope you all have a great day!

    Setina
  • Hi everyone.. all my owl girlfriends! I was too lazy to cook breakfast so I drove to Hardee's and got breakfast and brought it in. So much for points.

Pammy, I think with us living on the beaches when we were growing up, that's the reason for these things growing on us.

Candice how IS your fibro treating you? With STeve's MS, he still suffers from fibro symptoms. What do you take for it?

Setina, we went to 2 weddings this month and we actually danced at one of them. Poor STeve was in a lot of pain but did it anyway. It felt good to be up there.

Bren, how's Janessa? I hope she is getting prenatal care. Your weight loss is amazing. You look so good. I hope those nasty seizures stay away.

Kina, welcome to our nest. We're not all here at the same time but we always come home and check in to catch up. It's good to see a new member.

Erica, send me your weight loss... I have only lost one lb in a month. It's my own fault though.

Everyone who has a father or who's husband/partner is a father, I wish them all a wonderful Father's Day.

We spent 5 hours in the ER last night with Steve. I had emailed his doctor with his latest symptoms and he insisted I take him to the ER immediately. All tests came back normal so they sent us home. Considering we spent Mother's Day in 2 hospitals with Matt's acute appendix, I was so afraid we'd be in another hospital on Father's Day. We got home at midnight.
  • Hi everyone, I am at work so have to keep it short.

Judygal, thanks for the compliment, you of all people know how long I have struggled and to finally be getting some results fells great, unfortunately I am having a hard time getting going again, keep gaining and losing the same 4#'s, for the last 3 or 4 months. Now that is depressing, LOL!!

Setina, it sounds like your friends renewal went off beautifully, I am so glad for you. What a wonderful idea it is to renew vows, just kind of refreshes the whole thing. They are once again newlyweds. YFF

PJ, yeah it is kind of funny isn't it? We do seem to have some of the same problems at the same times, LOL! They said that about my oxygen too, I just forgot about it. Right now I am trying to eat every couple hours without gaining my weight back, should be fun.
  • Ok....since you guys did it.....I'm going to as well. It's so nice to see your faces when I'm "talking" to you anyway. Now you can see my mug too.
    Hugs to you all,
  • Oh yeah........Now that I grew my hair long....I went and cut 5 inches of it off!!!! ....... but it feels really good. Boy did it need it. After all of that bleaching when I first became a blonde....the ends were like straw. Now they only do the roots with the foil so they wont be touching the ends. "See" ya.
  • Pammy, I hope I am not being a real big pain in your butt, but I am still trying to find those daily quotes you did a while back with the pictures with them. I can't find them anywhere on the internet... Do you remember where you got them? (thanks!)
  • Hi Judy - Sorry, I meant to answer in my last post but I got a little side-tracked with a phone call. I still can't find it. I THINK it was in one of my MSN communities with daily quotes. I'm not sure. It's not under any of my favorites as I thought. I'll keep looking in the mean time. Sorry 'bout that.
  • You all have such nice pictures of yourselves up!

PJ..I have been taking the flax seed oil in caplets....just to get my omega 3's in. Love the flowers on the patio pic..........
  • Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that we had severe thunderstorms last night, AGAIN, and it took out my modem at home so I won't be on that much for a few days. I will try to check in during the day at work though.

    See Ya
    Bren
