Talking PINK FLAMINGO CAFE ~~ Sunday, April 28

Goooooooooooooooood morning everyone! Wake up wake up wake up! Its gonna be a cold, damp, and wet day outside!

I banked 2 points yesterday! I'm feeling rather about that!

Pat, I hope you're feeling somewhat better today. I hope you get to go back to the dentist to see about that filling--sorry about that crown you're getting--I have three in my mouth. Perhaps Brad Paisley will take your mind off it! Is it an open-air concert? What happens if the weather is nasty? I was looking at your stats--good job--for the month of April you averaged 2 lbs. gone forever weekly.

I'll be back in a little while...

Good morning PINKIES

Gail Thanks for opening up the CAFE for us this morning. I'm on my second cuppa coffee and then I'm headed for the shower.
Good for you on banking points! I'm not sure how many points I finished the day at, I didn't track yesterday. That always throws me off, too easy to under-estimate. I'll add everything up now...

*pulling out my handy dandy calculator*
Over by 4. I guess the damage could've been a lot worse, but it's just so easy to make the wrong choices and throw caution to the wind when I'm not being 100% aware of things. TRACKING, DRINKING WATER, FRUITS AND VEGGIES...and a real biggie...PORTION CONTROL.

Today is going to be a very 'BE AWARE' day. We're going to my grandmother-in-laws birthday party. I think I mentioned that on the thread yesterday. I'm not sure what's going to be served, but it's probably going to be downhome cookin'. My chant for today.... *wise choices and portion control, wise choices and portion control, wise choices and portion control*

Pat How was the concert?
Sorry to hear about your tooth problems, believe me I can relate. You hang in there.

emmy Hope you're having a good time and that the rain last night missed you entirely.

Sharon Weigh to go...down down down!

Joyce Hope you're having a good weekend...didn't see you in the CAFE yesterday.

Christine for when you peek in.

Okay....taking my overworked body to the shower. I'll try to check in a little later.

Hoping everyone has a totally terrific OP day!

Good Morning

Had a busy day - in and out - breakfast at LePeep's - go get my Avon stuff - go to church - go empty recycle stuff - wash red truck (dh sure keeps it clean) - go to Sears buy next smaller pants - rent movies - fix salad. And dessert was a vanilla Skinny Cow with strawberries and cool whip and a drizzle of choc on it (4 points). I had to look strawberries up in the book - I had totally forgotten its 1 point for 1.5 cups, or I didn't know. I thought it was 1 cup for 1 point.

We watched AI last night. Not thrilled with that movie. I was disappointed. So sad. And dh rented Training Day with Denzel Washington. He thought that with him it should be good. Yuck- I don't like movies that have a lot of cussing. But he did good playing a very bad cop. I guess I'm getting fussier in my old age. Are there any good movies out right now?

Gail - YEAH What a loss - way to go friend!!!!!!!!!! and her daughter too.

Sharon - YEAH What a loss - way to go friend!!!!!!!!!!

Judy - YEAH 8 days OP - way to go - I bet you are losing too

Wow - seem to repeating myself - you ladies are doing great - it sure does help with my incentive department.

I can't get into my email - it keeps saying it's down - ggrrrr

Pat - I'm so sorry to hear you are having trouble with your teeth. Been there, done that, and still doing that, got an appt in a couple of weeks. WOW I looked at your stats - I see you lost about 7# last month alone - you are doing FANTASTIC

Well, I gotta go fix breakfast - I'll be back

Just a quick Hi, off to Wal-Mart to get gk t-shirts for tomorrow's filming. My tooth still hurts, I'm going to tell him to pull it, already have 5 missing, what's one more

Gail-The concert is in doors, after the bull ride mania. It's at our Farm Show building. I have about 4 crowns now

Joyce-thanks for your support

Judy-I know you are counting hours now..

Sharon, Emmy & Christine

Thanks ladies for all the support, haven't been eating much of anything, so I know I'm not doing what I should to loss, but no WI in this week, we start a new session on the 8th.

High 5 to all the Pinkiesfor the month of April... we should be a total for the month how much the whole group lost.

Ok, out of here, thanks for the support..

Joyce I think I'm going to give your dessert a try...sounds yummy! There weren't any mint flavored WW ice cream sandwiches, so I got the vanilla. I got lots of strawberries too...love 'em!
Oh, and it was emmy who said she's 8 days OP. I wish I could say the same. Some days are just such a struggle. But I'm not giving up.

Hi Pat I think a group total would be great...hope I can contribute some.

Okay, off to find some breakfast. Bagel, strawberries and yogurt sounds good to me. I'm eating a late breakfast and filling up so I'm not as tempted at the b'day party. I'm also going to drink lots of water.

Talk to y'all later!

PINKIES, I'M HOME!

It rained again. There really isn't much to do when it rains. If we had a bigger camper it wouldn't be so bad but everyone tramping over everyone is a pain. We took one of my son's friends with us. Dh and ds and leaving shortly to go to an Eagle Scout ceremony for a kid in Justin's troop.

Gail - You know I'd be thrilled with 1 lb a week for a 52 lb. loss in a year. I have to work on my impatience with this. I want to all gone now and I get very dissapointed and disgusted when I swear some weeks it seems like I should of lost like 20 lbs because I was so good and it's a minimal loss. Yes I was exaggerating with the 20lb loss. LOL But wouldn't it be nice? CONGRATULATIONS on your loss! And with the eating out you had to go to, you did great. You made great choices. So how was the WW sundae cups?

Judy - Sam will be there tomorrow right? Your probably at GIL's party now. Hope you've got Preston on your lap. He'll help with your portion control!

Emmy - 8 days OP is great. Did you husband get your computer set up yet ? Hope your having better weather than we did. You know I have the same problem with meals on the road. I like the McDonals Fruit and Yougurt Parfait. Seems like nothing for 8 points but it really fills me up. Those fruit and nut chewy bars that Gail was talking about are great. I've got a box in my camper pantry.

Sharon - CONGRATULATIONS to you too! - .4 Hey you are going in the right direction and thats great! How are you doing this weekend?

Pat - I know you're not home right now. You're at the rodeo watching all those handsome tight butts bouncing up and down on those bulls. <fanning myself> And then dang you get to see Brad Paisley...he's a cutie! Hope you are having fun!

Joyce - Wow in the long list of stuff you were going to do...did I notice that you were looking for SMALLER PANTS? You thought I'd overlook that little detail huh? Nope I caught it. CONGRATULATIONS on needing smaller pants.

Ladies I have a confession....(nope not a food confession although it's because a result of food). I have not been able to wear my jeans for at least 5 months now. I've lost 11 pounds from what I went up to but I need to lose probably another 12 pounds before I'll be able to get back into them. I really need to do this. My clothes closet has nothing in it to wear!

I pack lunch for yesterday at the game. So I did good there. But I had a regular hamburger. Usually I have my veggie burgers. BUt I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to stand and cook my burger over the fire. I probably went over points. I'm going to have to figure this out. A hamburger is 5 points right?

Well, Judy - what can I say. I didn't finish out the sentences right I was IMing with my son and I guess I thought it out but didn't write it. then I just added a comment to emmy without looking to see what I had typed. I think I'm the senior citizen in this bunch so I hope ya'll forgive me my mistakes!!
I was going to ask you if you have everything ready for your daughter. Are you very excited yet? Understatement. I bet the level of excitement in your home is very high.
Yes that dessert was very good with strawberries on it.

Christine - Yes, I went trying on new pants. Problem was the 20-22 were too big and the 16-18 are a tad too small. But dh said they weren't that bad with my longer t-shirts. I like the stretch pants that are made of similar stuff to t-shirts. I like very forgiving clothes that stretch. I don't like wearing things that grip around my waist. (I think it has has to do with the -hmmmmmm- fat around my tummy. And the stretch marks from having twins and scar from ceasarian.) Now that I've told you more than you want to know.
Yes, I too wish I could have a good week and lose 20#. I feel very energized about this right now. It seems every other week I behave myself enough to have a good loss. But the average for me is still less than a pound per week. We'll get there, sooner than later. I think 1# a week is a great average.

It's very quiet here at home. DH is outside working and I'm supposed to be in here working now. I've got some dishes to wash. And some awful movies to go turn in.

Later

WOW Did I see some cute guys working the bull ride mania, way too young, but that is ok, it's aright to look.

Christine-Brad was great, he is a very little man... but oh, how he can sing... Didn't buy his CD or t-shirt.. maybe next time.

Joyce-I think I might be right up there too in regards to senior moments.. you, know I have to keep cover-up the gray.

Judy-Breakfast sounded good, what else did you have yet today?

Gail-What have you been up to today? I guess we had a good rain strom come thru when I was at the concert..

Sharon and Emmy, how is everything with you two...

Off to get something to eat.. and to watch my gk again, dd is at a bar tonight watch some guys dance around in their g-strings...

Ok, not sure if I will be back later, or when I will be back on tomorrow.. at Hershey park all day and I will tell everyone later how it went... bye
