The days are warm and the sun is up early...and so am I...working days over the weekend, and actually enjoying being up before the rest of the family....all is well except for my gallbladder which is in a what feels like a constant state of inflammation...trying to hang in there for the 23rd...have a great day everyone!
Good Sunday Morning Everyone! It is another beautifulweather day here today--yesterday was in the 70's and sunny and today promises to be the same. Didn't make it to the banquet Friday-track meet lasted about as long as it could, but that is okay--no one called to tell me I had won first prize so nothing hurt there. Yesterday was a house cleaning, laundry day early on--got LOTS of help from DS since he had many things he was hoping I would "help" him with. We went and visited his two friends and it went pretty well. They are in the rehab part of the hospital now. We took practical gifts like sports magazines and junk food and they seemed glad to see my DS. They are certainly in for a long haul and their folks look exhausted. Then we went from there to the highschool baseball game and then to the track to practice the long jump and triple jump-- him not me DH and I went to the "big city" and got some great steaks and shrimp to grill last night and tonight it is pork tenderloin on the grill--that is not a good sign if I am talking food at 8:30 in the morning Today my DS has asked for some algebra help (god I hate that subject) and then yard work. They are predicting in the 80's this week!!!!!!
Dottie, hope that you and DH had a nice drive yesterday. Ft. Lauderdale sounds good--went there on spring break once in college and have some, um VERY good memories of it.

You wouldn't believe the weather we had last night! It felt like it was October again! It was blowing so hard and raining so violently, I was afraid I was going to get washed away. But, there's no rain this morning and it looks like there might be a small break. And, hope against hope -- maybe it's over!
Everyone must be at church today .... it's kind of quiet here. The girls and I are headed to my parents house today. They have some life long family friends down visiting from Sitka and I want to see them. They own a fine restaurant there that I used to work in, so it should be fun to treck down memory lane. They always have such great little stories to share, although so many of them I have heard before!
Better get going. It's almost 8 and I've had no shower. Would like to be there by lunch and it's a two hour drive!
i hauled out some t shirts, and put them on the rug for just a moment while i sorted everything and got organized. and my dear cat walked right up, sniffed happily, and climbed onto the pile!! curled up for a nap. she's so content that i don't ahve the heart to disturb her, but did this sweet black cat HAVE to pick the white shirt????? well, the better question is why did i put the white shirt on top of the pile??????
once again, it's my fault. <sigh>

Hi all,
We went out last minuet to a play in Boston. We saw the Elton John/Tim Rice version of Aida. Dh hate it. It is one of his favorite Operas and this he thought it was an obliteration. I thought it was fun although the music was all very similar, the dancing and the singing was great. We had a great dinner a PF Cheng, a chain Chinese restaurant, and a nice time with the couple we went out with.
Older boy is back and happy he was not home sick last night, me too for that matter. I picked him up at the local dairy/ice cream place. I was good and had a few bites of little man’s ice cream. I also went to the local farmers market and stocked up on fresh fruits and veggies. Don’t you just love this time of year?
Ruth, I went to sears yesterday. They are/were having a big sale and I wanted the sale credit for the kid’s stuff I bought the other day. While I was there EVERYONE was getting the Capri pants. They are their company CROSSROADS brand. All shapes and sizes were getting them. I bought a pair myself and must admit they are very comfy.
I am feeling better and looking forward to getting my stitches out on Tues. I think I might do a little workout today as the swelling is way down and walking is comfortable. DH bought a universal weigh thing in Jan, and I like it but it is a pain to change all the weights. I will do that too if he has not changed them from the last time I was in there.
Well still tackling the laundry, kids are out on this fine spring day.

Liz, I am hoping desperately that you make it to the 23rd without too much pain. It is a week from Tuesday right?

Sherrie, Great tape for strength and toning is Kathy Smith Lift weights to lose weight. It is slit upper and lower body and for the lower body you can use leg weights or not. It is fun and great routine.
It's a nice boring day here in my household. Just cleaned up a little and am thinking about dinner. This will be a record, cleaned AND cooked the same day, 2 days in a row! That has never happened around here! Usually I'll throw something in the microwave but I stocked up on fresh veggies and meat this past week so I'm a cooking fool!
L, thanks for the video advice, I'll try to find that one! I have this love/hate relationship with these women on the videos. Nobody can be having THAT much fun while doing these hellish exercises! On the other hand, I find myself trying to keep up with them because I can't stand for them to best me! What a weirdo I am!!

I just came home from a church meeting. It's the nominating committee. Oy vey! I wanted to slap one man who is a worry wort. I finally told him, that if our choices weren't right, it wasn't plasma and no one was going to die! Heck, I warned the president ahead of time that he shouldn't nominate me for that committee as I have no patience!
Sadly, we have a funeral on Wednesday. This woman fooled all the doctors by living years longer than they said she would.
Also, please send prayers and kind thoughts to a really nice man from our congregation. He was diagnosed with leukemia three weeks ago and now he is in Intensive Care for his heart. Very scarey situation.
I've got some laundry to do and some kitchen chores to finish. Dh is outside removing old paint and varnish from one of our doors. It's a disgusting job and he has to burn and scrape outside as my lungs couldn't tolerate the fumes.
Am going to make the kid (DH) some brownies this afternoon.
Sorry for being absent for so long. What I thought was mere allergy symptoms turned out to be a nasty sinus infection and strep throat. I was flat on my back sick for three days. OP was out of the question. It was chicken soup, crackers, ginger ale, Kool-Aid, and popsicles for me. Will start over (again) tomorrow. Of course, Shane woke up complaining of a sore throat this morning (yes, he's got white spots in there). Guess I won't be working tomorrow either (missed Thursday and Friday) because we'll be going to the Pediatrician. I almost wish my DD was complaining, too. I know she's going to end up with this and it would be more convenient (for me) if they got it at the same time.
Turned out to be a nice weekend after all. Sook DS to church and Sunday school this am, then did a little grocery shopping, went to the Dogwood Arts Festival with my mother, the band from our church was playing this afternoon there it was very nice.....
Parents visit was nice the kids really enjoyed it. They are heading home to Florida tommorrow. I will be embarking on my last week of work with Atilla the Hun for a boss!!! Hurray, i am dancing a jig.
Well I must go outside and see what the demon children are up tooooooo or in toooooo.
