How was everyone's weekend? I had a good one. So good that I really didn't want to see it come to an end but here I am. I got lots accomplished around the house. Plus the weather was so gorgeous that it made the weekend that much better. Another awesome thing-I lost two pounds this week! Yippee! I did really well sticking to the program this weekend. I even got in extra activity. Now I just need to carry it over through the rest of the week. I got some good news about work too. One of the girls is quitting and I get to take over her clients and it means an extra $500 a month. Yippee! Lots of great things happening. Anyway thought I'd stop in and chat while I had the chance. I won't be back on here until the rest of you are gone for the day. Have a great OP day everyone!
I am back from vacation, and had a great time. Unfortunetly, I had to come back to work (which I didn't miss at all!) and I have a terrible headache, hopefully I am not getting a cold.
I don't think I will ever be able to read thru all of the posts while I was gone, so fill me in if there is any new news!!
I ate terribly while on vacation, but I am regrouping today. Ate my grape nuts and drank my coffee. Probably won't have time for lunch, but am having roast, carrots, potatoes for supper. I am also walking on my treadmill tonight if my headache goes away.
Well, better starting going thru all my emails...TTYL!!
HI everyone. First of all... My Baby is Growing Up... she turned 1 today! So sad. We had a b-day party for her yesterday and she had so much fun. I can't believe 1 year ago today I was in labor and had her at 2:40 pm. The miracle of life!!!
I lost 1.4 pounds at WI, but ate HORRIBLE yesterday. I just had the urge and since it was Emma's b-day I indulged. It was so much fun being a mommy!!! I go on vacation on Friday through the next week. I know that my eating may not be the best, but I will also walk quite a bit too!
I have some wonderful news, I found a new horse this weekend - YAY! I don't have to give up my horsey girl title. Mine went to his new home on Wednesday and yesterday I met with the owner of my new horse. THis one is very similar to the last one I rode - he's a 14 year old thoroughbred gelding and he's black. His registered name is Ship's Lover but we call him Skipper. He bows. It's very cute. He hasn't been ridden regularily in about 2 or three years so that will be a bit of a challenge but I rode him yesterday and he's a lot more gentle than the last one I had so I don't think it will take long to get him back into shape. He's also very comfortable to ride and very even-gaited. And the best things are, he's much cheaper and I don't have to clean his stall. it's actually good exercise so I guess I really have to get to the water aerobics soon.
Well enough of boring everyone with my horsey stuff, I'm really quite excited though, I walked to my WI on Saturday and yay down 2# - I'll get under the evil 200 soon, I hope. And BF and I saw 13 ghosts this weekend, it's scary but good, and my BF did a lot of the set/specialty props for it so that was very cool to see his work on the big screen.
OK I actually have to do some work today. I'll be back to lurk later.
Take care
KT
PS Jen - happy birthday to emma
Great loss, Jen, and don't fret about indulging. I'm all about indulging lately. Tell Emma happy b'day from all her mom's friends at 3FC!
Hi to everyone! Tonya, Stacey, Rina, and all those about to post. Where did you go on vacation again, Tonya? Glad you had fun.
Well, girls, I'm really proud of the story I had in today's paper so I want to share it with you all, if you want to read it. I spent Friday and Saturday hanging out with two firefighters from New York City, who were invited down by our local firefighters for a relaxing weekend and to be presented with a check for the 9-11 fund. Meeting these guys was wonderful, a real honor. They lost six members of their squad in the WTC attacks, and have been at Ground Zero nearly every day digging through rubble. So, if you're interested, have a look! http://www.roanoke.com/roatimes/news/story120293.html
My weekend wasn't too bad, although Saturday was kind of a working day. I went to the Virginia Tech-Syracuse game with the NY firefighters and some local FFs, and although it was freezing and there were snow flurries, I had a great time. I can't believe winter's almost here!
i agree, it sucks that it's monday. i did not want the weekend to end!
i am doing good so far today. had a small breakfast and small lunch. we are planning on having hamburgers for dinner. i figured i'd better eat lite all day if we are doing that for dinner. i am planning on going to the gym this week. i NEED to lose at least a pound this week. I have been maintaining at 150 for way too long and slacking off way too much.
well i better get back to work. ttyl!
jen-happy birthday to your daughter. these must be exciting times for you!
congrats to everyone on their losses last week. hopefully this time next week i'll be able to join you in a loss!
Jen3
Hey girls. Well, just got back from the Dr. Baby is doing well. We are inside 10 weeks, so that is exciting. I did gain a little more weight than I wanted too, but I think a lot of that is water as I am very puffy today. I am going to drink lots of water today and have decided that my fruit kick that I have been on may also be the culperate, so I am hoping that the fruit thing is replaced by a veggie thing. To get my body thinking that way I brought raw veggies for a snack today (but I really want a banana!).
Tonya: welcome back. We missed you!
Jen: glad emma's b-day was fun!
Jen3: you will break that 150 mark. Try to take your measurements, that may be going down.
Kim: your story was great! Glad you had a good weekend.
KT: so excited for you and yoru new horse. How fun.
Hello Stacey.
Rina: that is great about work. See, all your worry for nothing!
Well, I need to get some work done. Talk with you soon.
I thought about you last Wednesday night, we came thru Peoria, IL on our way back home from Tennessee. When we came back, it was during tornado warning time, we saw 4 overturned semi's by Monticello Illinois. Not good!!!!
Jen: AHHHH, E-mail issues really are bad! Makes me so mad!
I think I am really close too. I keep thinking, well, even if it came now it would be ok. But the dr keeps saying, "when you get further..." so that makes me feel like I am not that far at all. Anyway, inside 10 weeks. I hope much less, but not too much.
Trish, When do you start going every 2 weeks?? That is when I knew I was close. Then it was every week... then you are there!!! When I saw my neighbors little baby yesterday I couldn't believe Emma was ever that small. I want another baby, but we decided that we don't want to rush it. So we will wait. But teeny babies are so beautiful!!! I remember looking down at my teeny handful and saying over and over how beautiful she was. I mean, Emma is beautiful now too, but it is different when they are still newborns!
I am every two weeks right now. See, it seems close to me. Also, you can not feel bodyparts in my belly. I don't know what bodyparts, but there is something in there. Very cool.
Trish.... Emma's butt was always sticking out. At one appointment the doctor pushed on my belly and up popped her butt. It was cute. And she has a cute tush too! My MIL said she could feel fingers running up and down her belly, but I never did so I don't know it that can happen or not. Oh, but I did get kicked in the ribs once in awhile, mostly while I was sitting. That smarts!!
