Well, this was probably silly ...
But I found a flapper costume at a costume shop that actually fit, so I bought it. I know I paid way too much for what it's worth, but I wanted a costume and I've always wanted to be a flapper for Halloween. So, I'll be a full-sized flapper.

And proud of it, right? It's RED, too.
Of course, I'll probably freeze to death, but such is the price of beauty.
I wish I were more imaginative, or that my sister, who has oodles of imagination (she also sews) lived closer. She's going as a vampire Geisha girl. She made herself a Geisha outfit, got white face paint, etc., and is wearing fangs with it. She also made two of her friends their costumes.
But she's coming to live with me in December!
P/S Rina, my mom always made my sister's and my costumes growing up, too. They were really cool. One year, she made me a little skating outfit for my first boy-girl birthday party at Skateworld (roller rink), and I wore it for Halloween, too. It's fun roller-skating to go trick or treating! Of course, part of the time I had to wear my winter jacket. It was cold that year in Connecticut!
