I always, always eat bakery bread from a bakery, not a grocery store. In my area some bigger bakeries have a selection of their breads in the grocery store so I'll buy that when I'm in a hurry. But in my experience, you're always better off getting it straight from them. They're also happy to provide the ingredient list in most cases.
My absolute favorite is Angelic Bakehouse sprouted 7 grain bread. It's not cheap ($5/loaf at my local healthy food store) but so, so good. It's softer than Ezekiel (I think) and tastes great both toasted and untoasted.
