Default Starting WW this weekend-Any tips?

Well, I have been counting calories for a month now, and haven't lost a pound, so I am going to start weight watchers this weekend (I am being given the core book and also an eating out book, she also said something about a slide ruler?) I can't afford to join the center, so I am hoping with your help and with her help that I can do this.
I am hoping for some recipes you guys might have for me for dinners mostly, I DO NOT eat fish or any kind of seafood, so that's out of the question.
I took her advice and have stopped eating Lean Cuisines for lunch and bought some WW Light Wheat Bread with Turkey for lunches,
and WW Cereal with FF milk for breakfast. I saw some really tasty looking WW muffins, but I figured I'd go back and buy them once I'm on a program, so I know
how many points I have to play around with.
I'm hoping that even with the 1200 calorie diet I'll be switching over to WW that it will be as easy as the calorie counting.
Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for me as I begin this new venture?

Welcome LoveMyPitBull - Go through all the sticky threads above and then go to Pts and Food (not recipes) and read through there. If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

WW Points can be a bit confusing at first but once you get the hang of it, it's easy. The true secret is to journal all your food - even if you go over your points. If you do go over, write down on the side what happened. It'll help give you insight on why it happened and can help you develop game plans on how to overcome the obstacles.

A lot of centers are having free registration right now. I would join for just the first week, because you get a little lesson on how it all works. You also get the points slider, and a great booklet with info in it.

It really is worth the money to go to the first meeting, especially if you've never done WW before!
