Default I lost my first pound!

I stepped on the weighing scale this morning and guess what? I lost my first pound! Its the fourth day of getting onto the exercise routine and eating right. Made me smile like crazy for the whole day.

Well, that is until I got an invite to a BBQ for tonight. Crap. The agony of temptation!

Hey Shockingpurple - just have a game plan going to the barbecue. Know your points ahead of time for whatever foods you may encounter. Remember to stock up on your veggies (without dip) and/or green salads (w/o dressing) and drink lots of water. Take your own water bottle with you if necessary - people do this all the time now so you won't look "weird".

Another thing I have done is to eat my protein item just before going and not having a feeling of being hungry when you get there. Remember, you are in control, not the food. GOOD LUCK!!!! There will be lots of obstacles in the future and once you learn some good tools to get around them, you'll do great. Remember, you need to live life the way it is and learn to deal with it. I believe this is the secret to a long term success story in losing weight

YAY! Congrats on your first pound loss! You're on your way! Rosegarden gave you lots of great advice for the BBQ. I would also go easy on the points up until the BBQ. There will be items there that you can enjoy while staying on program. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice and support guys. Sorry for the seriously late reply. Things have been crazy these past few days. The BBQ advice were really good! Steered clear of all the oily stuff and went for the veggies.

Well, am off to an aerobics session! Gotta keep my september diet/exercise resolutions!
