  • Good Monday evening ladies, the weekend is over and another, new program week is ahead of us. I'm ready to go! Unfortanately, I didn't do so well, program-wise, this past weekend. Ate too many chips and other junk-y food while I was away from home. Too much mindless, nervous eating, darn it! Even though the food was not good this past weekend, I did drink the water and journal everything. Well, every little bit helps, I guess. Today, so far, I'm on track and trying to end the day within my points range. I still have many evening and night hours to go so I'm trying to fill up on the sugar snap peas, as I write to you all now. I have plans to take a walk, later on tonight. Will "borrow a dog," again and maybe head for the beach. Well ladies, hope that you have a great OP week and a lovely evening now. Cindy

Maggie, congrats to on your 6 OP days in a row! WTG Maggie! Especially nice going on skipping the cake for yourself at the shower, AND bringing home a slice for Cowboy. Now that is CONTROL, and don't it feel good? I had to laugh when I read that your Turn likes veges. Now that's a first. My cats like meat and milk dishes; they show no interest in fruits and veges. Who knows, maybe they really like them, but are leaving the fruits and veges for for me because they know that I need them more? Maybe? I'm loving these sugar snap peas. I plan to go to the farmers market tomorrow and get some more, if they have 'em. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Have a good one.

Geri, listen, don't beat yourself up. Think of your wonderful achievements, thus far, and give yourself a pat on the back. This is just a minor glitch and you will be right back in the flow of program. Congrats on your 25th anniversay and enjoy that wonderful anniversay celebration with your DH. Have a great time.

Brenda, what a wonderful job you are doing OP. Almost 5 OP days in a row? That is mighty impressive. Keep up the great work. Oh, I'm delighted to hear that you are making yourself a business suit. It sounds beautiful. WTG Brenda! Have a great day.

Terri, hope that all is going well with you, busy lady. Sending good OP thoughts your way.
  • GOOD EVENING

I am so pleased to report a loss of
2.6 pounds. The program is working for me!

BRENDA your suit sounds like it will look so good on you. Isn't it great to be able to sew! Ice cream eh? Well it has a loud voice in this house also. Be careful with that voice and ignore it at times.

GERI now don't be beating up on yourself. Just get back on the wagon and forget the past. You cannot change it anyway. So here is my hand..... hop up.... that's it! Have a great time on your celebration. CONGRATULATIONS on your anniversary.

CINDY it takes a while to get back to your habit of staying close on your program. You are headed in the right direction so keep trying and you will be fine.

  • Hello Everybody,
I have been a lurker to your thread for the last several weeks and finally thought I would stop and introduce myself. I did WW several years ago and lost about 45# and thought, just like everybody else, I could do it on my own, and now two years later I have managed to gain just about everything back! So tomorrow I make the trek back to WW to start all over again. Since I expect to be above 250# again, I thought I would join your thread for the trip, if you don't mind. I hate the thought of starting all over again, but every journey begins with one small step, so I better get stepping! Hope to get to know all of you better along the way.

  • GOOD MORNING

This is a good day to be
OP and that is my plan. I , Maggie, will eat at least 29 points and no more this day.

CHATTY welcome to the group. You are absolutely doing the right thing to get back to it. What you did [and many of us have done the same thing - me, for example] and here we are walking down the road to thin again and getting support and giving it along the way. Come here often and let us get to know you.

Maggie fixin' to have a good OP day in Tennessee
  • Good Tuesday morning everyone, things turned out fine, yesterday--stayed within my points range AND took that night-time walk with the "loaner" dog. It's a new day and I am off to a good start. Plan to hit the farmers' market at lunch-time and pick up some of those delicious fruits and veges. Hope that you each have a great OP day.

Maggie, CONGRATULATIONS on that wonderful 2.6 pound loss! Go Maggie go! What a super job you are doing OP. You decided to try something new and it sure is working because YOU are making it work! Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration to me!

Chatty, welcome to the thread. I know exactly how you feel about losing a substantial amount of weight and then gaining back a lot. Why, I did the same thing, (only I did it in a much shorter period of time). It can be very disheartening, but you have done the right thing by facing up to facts and by stopping by our friendly little thread. You will get back on the weight loss road again and we'll be here to encourage and cheer you along the way. Best of luck to you on your weight loss journey.

To all of my friends out there, how are you all? Hope that you ladies are having a great OP summer day. Stop by when you can.
  • Hey! What happened?
What happened to my post yesterday morning? Trying this again this morning. Thank goodness I did a copy before I got timed out on this post.

I did try to check in yesterday.

Maggie - You are doing great. Another loss. That is so cool. You are so focused. What a great example for us!

Geri - Hang in there. Let's get our grip together. I lost my focus over the weekend but am restarted again this week. Happy Anniversary!! Your getaway sounds fantastic.

Chatty - Welcome to the group. Jump in whenever. Good for you for restarting WW. I am thinking about rejoining myself. I've been doing it at home. When I get moved, there is a WW center within a mile from my house. Good luck with the program and we're here to help anytime.

Brenda - Wow I'm really impressed that you whipped that suit up so fast. I used to sew. Some projects went quick and some took forever. I finally figured out my hobby was to buy all the supplies not actually do something with it!! Inherited from my mother!

Cindy - Don't beat yourself up over the weekend. At least you journalled and are aware. I didn't have such a great weekend myself foodwise so I know how it makes you feel when you know you could have done better.

It was a whirlwind weekend again. I took two days vacation yesterday and today. Saturday was down at mom's. Our puppy dawg is so big and full of energy. But he's beautiful. I didn't survive mom's food too well. Yes I could have done better but by the time we ate I was so hot, sweaty, hungry, tired and cranky, I just wanted food no matter what it was. We moved the dawg from my sister's to mom & dad so he's an hour closer and to give my sis a break. Sunday was breakfast out with DH, shopping for him, and a family visitation for one of DH's aunt's that passed away. Again, meals sporadic and me being starved and not thinking. I had the best time yesterday. Well after the funeral anyway. We went back to mom's so DH could see his dawg and I could ride the horse. I finally got up enough nerve to do more than walk her. She's been trained to be a cattle horse so I tried some of her moves and didn't fall off!! And worked her up into a canter and still didn't fall off!! I had so much fun doing that and it really helped my confidence in riding. Some of that stuff I hadn't done in 20 years and back then, falling off wasn't a big deal. I'm going to have to get a "super strength boulder holder" as DH says. Makes me a bit top heavy on the horse.

Today I'm supposed to be cleaning house and packing. Burning lots of calories is what I hope. But I can feel the horseback riding in my lower back and thighs. Celebrex will help that in no time.

Well, this has turned into a big book.

P.S. Geri - A dawg is a dog that has more personality than most people! The kind that hangs on your robe as you walk by, jumps on the dish towel to play tug of war (something he always wins) or swings on the towel while you're trying to dry off out of the shower. You don't know whether to laugh or lay down and cry.
  • Good Morning Ladies,

Well, I promised I got my rear in gear this morning and went back to Weight Watchers. Seems I did keep off about 2# over the last several years...don't think that count for maintainence however.

Anyway, I feel good about going and we will see how things go from here. It is a beautiful summer day here in Indiana, and I have the day off, so I am off to the pool. More likely to stay on program if I have my swimsuit on!

Have a great on point day everyone and I will check in later.

    Chatty
  • GOOD EVENING

What a lovely evening it is. The rain has stopped and the sun is out shining with 72 degress and low humidity. We have 6 hanging potted flower plants hanging along the house over the deck and I have been watching the most beautiful little hummimg bird flit from one to another. She/he has a bright red breast and is breathtakingly beautiful when the sun lands on it.

I have had an OP day and will eat exactly my 29 alloted points by the time I have some Jello 2 point pudding later. I had planned to make a nice pork chop dinner that would cost me 16 points but we had to do a run into the city and were there at dinner time so we went to Bojangles. AH I do love their chicken. Well with one piece, one of those biscuits that are 5 points and some dirty rice it came to exactly the 16 points I was going to spend on dinner at home anyway ~ WOW can't beat that.

CINDY good going with the farmers market. That is the best place to hang out for lunch! Yes, you are doing it and putting one OP day after another.

TERRI sounds like you are back and "restarted" which is good! I love hearing about your dawg ~ sounds like quite a handful. What fun. And that is good going on that horse ~ great way to get your confidence back on riding.

CHATTY congratulations on getting back to WW. Now you can put the past behind you and concentrate on your program from here on out. Glad you decided to join us.

Maggie enjoying the evening in Tennessee

  • Well, I just had my best OP week in over 12-15 weeks, stayed on the Wendy plan, and watched my Carb points, I was able to cut my Carb points in half this week. I was hoping for a couple pounds off and what did I get 1.5 up.....................

I know I can't let this get me down too long but I am really pissed. It's one thing when you can see why your not losing very well, but when you do things right and get this result, ...as I said I'm pissed.

I know........ I must let it go!

On a happier note, my sons graduation went well, it was a beautiful night and they had the ceremony in their courtyard, nice pond, lots of trees. It's good to see your kids growing up and sad all the same.

Well, I need to get to work so that I can get my mind of my WI last night. I will do Wendy's plan again this week and I'm sure the lose will show up soon.

Have a better day than me......

    Brenda
  • GOOD MORNING

It is going to be a lovely day here this day. And I am going to stick to my program and eat no more or no less than 33 points. Yesterday was a 29 point day and it ended just on that number.

BRENDA that is so disheartening when that happens. {{{{{HUG}}}}} But you have lost so much and have learned down the road to thin that our bodies don't always cooperate. Sometimes what we ate last week shows up at the most opportune time ~ yep ~ right after we have had one terrific OP week. I know you will shake this off and concentrate on this week. But do know that I understand your frustratiion.

Maggie fixin' to start the day in Tennessee
  • Good Morning Ladies,

It is a hot summer morning here in Indiana. I finally broke down this morning and turned on my air. With the forcast being for 90+ I know my kids and hubby would start complaining about the no air kick I have been on lately. I love summer and love having the house opened and a nice breeze rolling through, but no one else seems to appreciate that. You close your house up for winter, so I like it open for summer. Anyway, it is suppose to storm in a day or two and then cool down, so the doors and windows will be opened again soon.
Finished by first day OP. Was hungry later in the evening so I simply sat outside until it was time to go to bed. Have another day off and so does my hubby so I think it will be a great day. The only problem will be trying to stay OP with him around! He can eat what ever he wants and still stay skinny It is maddening!
Brenda: My heart goes out to you. Last time I did program I had a gain than two weeks of .2 losses so I got discouraged and gave up and look where it got me! Keep working and I am sure the iron scale will give you your lose next week!
Well better get my house clean so I can play!

  • Good Wednesday evening ladies, hope that you had a good OP day. I was doing fine today, and then along came this evening. Had a change in plans and ended up at mom and dad's place for dinner. Their home is like a mine-field of high calorie surprises. Yikes! Eating dinner with them sure didn't help matters. I'm "safe" at home now, but I have to write down the damage for the evening. Oh how I hate to face those facts! Okay, I'm going to stop whining now. Tomorrow is a new day and I'm going to do my very best to stay focused. Here's hoping that you all have a great evening and a FOCUSED OP day tomorrow. Cindy

Maggie, I loved hearing about your pretty hanging baskets and your beautiful visitor, that lovely hummingbird. We don't see those lovelies in the city so I will have to use my imagination. You keep up the super job that you are doing OP! You RULE!

Terri, good to hear from you. What is it about moms and their homes? I don't know why it is that I seem to "fall apart" when I'm over there. I have to figure out a secret weapon to stop me from eating all of the fatty stuff in her home. If I figure out the secret, I'll let you know what it is. WTG Terri on the horseback riding. Lady, you sound like a riding pro to this city girl! Loved your definition of dawg. Hanging on to robe when you walk by? Yikes! What is it they say about puppies--good thing they are so darn cute or they would be outta here in a second!! Terri, keep the faith OP. You are doing a great job.

Brenda, your hard work will be rewarded. Just stick with it. I'm simply in awe of your great accomplishments thus far. Please don't forget just how far you have come and all of the good you have done for your health. You are an inspiration to me. Heres hoping that you have a great OP day.

Chatty, one day at a time. That's how this program is done. I have to tell myself that everyday. You're off to a great start!
  • This is for all of us......
  • Gosh, you guys got long while I was gone so I'm going to start a new thread. I don't have time to read or write but I'll be back tomorrow to reply to everyone and tell you all about my trip.

DON'T POST HERE. Go To: Countdown to 250...June 27th And Beyond

    See you there.
