  • WELCOME to all who choose to stop here. We are a fun group, providing support, encouragement and motivation. We hope you sit a spell, grab a bottle of water and chat with us for awhile. We would love to meet you.
  • Hi everyone! I am holding my own this week in the battle with the food devil. I know, I know, we should not look at food as the devil, but at the rate this weight is coming off, I figure I'll blame it on something. It couldn't be because I don't know when to shut my mouth and walk away from the table...could it????

Maggie: Gosh, I'm sorry about CJ. What a shame! Bean sounds cute. You have such neat names for all your animals. Turn probably wonders where his old friend is and wonders what in the world you're bringing into the house this time. LOL

Terri: What's your move-in date??? You've got to be getting soooo excited. It will be nice when you get your little 'farm' up and running.

Angie: Good for you getting back on board. But do you know what your post said most to me??? It told me how well you've really done. Think about it, if you truly were eating everything in the world you wanted, you must have truly learned the art of maintainence because you only gained .6# in all that time of goofing off. Sounds to me like you've mastered some great habits somewhere along the line and weren't as far off the path as you though!! Good for you!!

Cynthia: Your new pictures look great!!

    Gotta run. Love to all.

  • Hello there everyone...
Hello and Love to all! I am not sure how many of you will remember me because I have been gone for so long. In January I was in a car accident and seriously broke my arm, requiring surgery and "hardware". I have been off program since and am thinking about getting back on the old wagon.

The good news is that I have only gained 4 pounds in the four months that I have been out on disability. I am back at work now, so I will try to stop by here more often. I miss all my old friends here. You have been very important in getting me to where I am now.

Well, thanks for listening... Since today was my WI, I will post my stats...

    300/269/???
  • Gina,

Of course we remember you. You have been missed. We heard about your accident. I'm glad you're better and back with us. You did great to only have gained back a few pounds. We're here to support and love you and so glad you're back with us.

    More replies later!
  • Hello!!
Thanks so much for your kind replies!!!! I appreciate everything you do for me!!

Welcome back Gina Marie!! We couldn't forget you!! I am glad to hear you are back! Keep us posted!

I am whipped tonight so I am going to make it short. I actually taeboed today!! I drank 6 glasses of water which is a good start!!

    Talk to you all later!!

  • Good morning,

I'm so ready to go back to bed. Or just stay home and clean house. But that won't happen.

I've done fairly well OP the last three days. Been faithful to the journal and trying hard to stay at the lower end of the point range. But that's hard to do when its TOM. Fighting water retention now. Hopefully, I'll see a loss soon.

I haven't done well with the exercise front. DH's side business and me being tired in general is wrecking havoc on my exercise plans. I need to figure that out and make time for it. Allergies wipe me out this time of year because of the fatigue but can't let that make me lay down.

Geri - We should be moving the first of June. Everyone has drug their feet and then some on all the paperwork. We should be closing the construction loan here within a few days so the builder can start on the foundation. Once that happens, it should be a matter of 4-5 weeks. I've been so frustrated and disgusted with the whole thing. But it helped to go out and stake out where we want the house. It was so peaceful; we can hardly wait.

Maggie - How's the new pup doing? Everyone getting adjusted? They are so fun at the age.

Angie - Good for you on the taebo. You're doing great considering you have school and a little girl and a husband. Its hard to make time for our health when there is all the family to take care of. Just keep up all your great attitude and good work.

As I sit here typing with the windows open at 6:14 am, all I can here is the roar of morning traffic. Motorcycles gunning it down the street, big trucks rumbling by. Where are the peaceful morning noises? Birds chirping, trees rustling? No wonder I'm cranky by the time I get to work. No wonder a person feels exhausted all the time. Green acres is the place for me!

Have a great OP days ladies. Be strong!
  • Thank you for your warm welcome backs!
Good Morning! I wanted to check in and see what everyone was up to.

I am still not OP today, but I am thinking about doing it soon. DH is away on business for a week, so I am left to fend for myself and I am not much of a cook, so I will be eating out of the microwave or eating take-out... I know I am probably just using his trip as an excuse.

Re: Fatigue - It has been so monstrously hot here that I am feeling a bit fatigued myself, plus this being my first week of work in 4 months! If you are having TOM, I say to just listen to your body and give it what it needs. If that is rest, so be it!

Re: Morning sounds - I know what you are talking about! It always bothers me how the sun is always bright and yellow, and birds are chirping in the morning on commercials. I always say to myself, the sun NEVER looks like that ever, let alone at 6:30 am when I get up! Actually, I do have a bunch of birds living in a tree outside my bedroom window that wake me up on the weekend with their chirping when I am trying to sleep in.

Well good OP days to all...
  • Hi everyone! Sorry I didn't get here last night. Survivor was really good. I can't believe Colby took Tina with him to the end. He would have had it locked up if he would have taken Keith. Maybe Colby wasn't as ruthless as he'd like us to believe.

Yesterday was fun. Mom and I went to the Women's Expo, a once a year event at a convention center across town. It's just full of booths with stuff that's interesting to women. Health stuff, boutiques and food samples. For the last 2 years it's been co-sponsored by a supermarket chain and there were lots and lots of food samples. This year however, there was no supermarket involved. On the one hand, it was a bummer 'cuz in the past there was tons, but on the other, I was tempted to go way off program in just samples. I was prepared as I only had an apple on the way to the Expo and then just had dinner when I got home, so food was good !!!

Took mom with me to work today. We did lunch and had a nice time, walking and talking.

I'm excited to be back 'with it'. I do have my fridge loaded with single servings of Orange Dreamsicle and Apple Salad. Yum. It's good to have those 1 and 2 WW point treats available to grab. The few minutes it takes to whip up a batch is well worth it in the long run.

Gina: Welcome back, girlfriend!!! Gosh it's good to 'see' you. We heard about your accident. Glad you are well healed and getting it back together. And you did sooo well with just a couple of pounds being 'off' for that long. Just means you learned some good habits while you were 'on' that carried you over.

Terri: The morning sounds are here at my house. The birds woke me up at 5:30 this morning! Argh!!!! It is better than motocycles, trucks and morning traffic though.

Angie: Good job on the Taebo. You go girl!!!

Well girls, got some paperwork to do. Can't work without paperwork. You all take care.

  • Hey, where is everyone??? Come out, come out wherever you are. I am soooo lonely in here without you!

We had a gorgeous day here yesterday and then after dinner everything clouded up and it got real windy and we thought we were going to have a nasty storm. Well it so happens that looks were deceiving. We got a couple of drops of rain and that was it. Today is bright and sunny again although the temperature is about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday. Ummmm. Guess the cold front blew in!

Yesterday's food was not all that great, but I think I'm holding my own. Notice I said 'I think' since I have been bad and not journalled this week. Just gotta 'do it' I guess. Why is that like one of the hardest things for me to do????

Hubby and I are working for lunch today. But they have a wonderful grilled Mahi Mahi sandwich that I just love. So it will be ok. Think since it's cool out today, I'll make Taco Soup for dinner. Filling and low in WW points.

Well, I guess I will leave you all and go to work. I didn't do my paperwork yesterday so when I get back from lunch, that will be on my list. Love to all and have a great weekend!

  • Happy Saturday!

I'm taking a break from cleaning and packing. Been carrying winter clothes down to the basement to put in wardrobe boxes. I decided after the last move that I was not going to carry hanging clothes to move again. Someone else can move them. Also been scrubbing the bathroom down on my hands and knees. Actually kind of feels good. Its raining out so I'm fighting the urge to nap on the bed. Maybe this afternoon.

I've been doing okay with the food. I had a first yesterday. I took everyone who works for me out to lunch yesterday and we decided on Mexican. I sat there and watched everyone chowing down on the chips and didn't have one. I had also only eaten 3 points for breakfast so I was hungry but I was determined not to totally blow out my day (and week). Boy was that hard. Then I had a fajita chicken salad but have no idea how to count the points. There was some cheese and sour cream but no other chips or tortillas. Anyone got any ideas how I do that?

Geri - Enjoy your lunch. Sounds delish.

Gina & Maggie & Angie - hope you're doing okay and having a good weekend.

    Later and be strong!
  • Hi Terri:

Guess you're the only one that will talk to me today. If everything in the salad was veggies, I would just count the chicken as a chicken breast and guesstimate the amount of cheese and sour cream. If you used some dressing, count that. I usually do well if I order a salad out. Sometimes though the points are deceiving. If the Mexican place was a chain, try Dotti's for the restaurant and check there. Glad you had a nice lunch. Sounds like you're working real hard today. Thanks for taking time out to talk to me.

Guess I'll get some work done now.
  • GOOD EVENING Steel Magnolias
    Happy CINCO DE MAYO ya'all.

We didn't get to Bristol to our favorite Mexican place to eat for the occasion but did have Chinese in Mountain City. Then on to the ballfield where Cowboy was due to ump. It was hot and I am tired. Not doing well with my program this week. It sure is hard to get back in the swing of things after all those pot lucks last week and guess what! Yep you guessed it ~ there is one tomorrow.

My IP has been acting up of late. Couldn't get on at all this morning........

Have a good day that the Lord hath made tomorrow.

  • Hello everyone! Sorry I don't post very often. I am trying to stay off the computer all day and outside with my daughter! We bought her a swingset (not put together yet) and a sandbox with a few toys! She is having a ball and I am glad to be out of the house and into the sun! My legs sure do need some sun!! I haven't done too bad this week. I am not journaling but I know I haven't gone out of wack. I exercised twice and hopefully today I can do it again! I am also playing volleyball tonight so that counts as some exercise! Tomorrow is my weigh in and hopefully I am done at least half a pound!!!

Good to hear from you Geri, Terri, and Maggie..sounds like you all had good weekends!

Take care girls and have a wondeful Sunday!!!

    Angie
  • Hello all,

Its a lazy Sunday here. DH and I went to a new church, one closer to home this morning. Boy was it different! They don't have a choir but in its place they have a band that opened with "Fly like an Eagle". The Senior Pastor played an electric guitar and the music director reminded me of the lead singer of Sawyer Brown. Very uplifting. We'll try it again among other churches. We love the Pastor where we go now but it will be so far away from home and hard to get involved once we move. Hard decision.

After that we went to Old Country Buffet. The good news is that its hard to totally pig out now that I have been eating less because it takes a lot less food to feel full! But am staying out of the kitchen for the rest of the day.

My bod is a little sore today from all the work yesterday. But I did get a lot done. I need to go downstairs and work on ironing. If DH wouldn't wear all his "cotton got to be ironed" shirts in one week, it would be nice. I'm going to have to hide them and ration them out. Maybe I'll work in a walk.

Mom called this morning because she's babysitting our puppy for my sister. Our "baby" is 10 weeks old and has gained 7 pounds in three weeks. He's now 22 lbs! She called to tell me how hard it is to fold towels when there's a dog hanging on the end. I had to laugh. I've had that dog hanging on the end of my robe. I sure miss him.

Angie - Sounds like you're having fun. Your daughter will love her new toys. Great exercise for you too! Good luck with volleyball.

Maggie - I hear you on how hard it is to remain focused. You'll get it back soon!

Geri - Thanks for the info on the salad. I was doing good until yesterday. With all the activity, I was wanting to munch all day. Darn!

Have a good Sunday afternoon. Tomorrow is another day so let's all try to get focused and kick some fat off forever!

    Take care
  • GOOD EVENING Countdowners
ANGIE you go girl! Playing ball and running after Hannah is certainly exercise. I wish you well on your weigh in tomorrow!

TERI our puppy is getting on the weight also. they are so cute........ aren't they! I love puppies. Tug of war with sox and tickeling them on their bellies. This little guy likes to sleep on his back.

We received GOT MY this afternoon and he misses his mommie but he doesn't cry all the time. He has been eating so he will be fine. He is such a cutie. Has little horns and when GOMER got too close he sent him for a playful tumble.

Cowboy BBQ'd some boneless pork chops for dinner that were so tender and yummy! I am sure glad he is a whiz on that Webber.

Well all you countdowners have a wonderful eveing and I will be back on track with a vengence after my weigh in tomorrow.
