I'm in Boston, MA....and they don't have E-tools for this area yet! Drives me crazy.....because its not like Boston is in the sticks where hardly anyone goes.....there's a TON of WW people at my meetings!
Is in fact only available in area 501, what ever that means. The NAACO part of Weight Watchers, and NOT the franchised offices... So, I stand, having corrected myself. I just called our staff line. It is being test marketed here, and will be distributed throughout the U.S. shortly. DUH. Sorry.
On the whole, people love it. It gives you an alternate perspective on the program and not new, but differently presented information. Basically, everything you get in the meeting room, but in the written/read format. People learn and absorb information differently, and this is a format that encourages participation from another perspective. There are loads and loads of recipes; tips, hints about the program; excercise, activity. In short, it's a full service health-oriented web site.
I've only had positive feedback.... Now, are you in an area in which it is currently unavailable? Call the WW 800 number (651-6000) and tell them you want it where you are. Also, call your franchise and tell them to get on the stick about participating or subscribing... Keep us posted.
I asked today while at the meeting and my leader said that the Dallas area isn't going to get it. She said that if you follow the directions on WW's page, you can get it.
I think I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for your help.
If you go to the WW web page, you can check to see if your area has e-tools. I'm in Louisiana and all places in Louisiana have it available. You have to get an access code from your meeting place. If none is available, you can get the code my mail. It is all explained on the web page.
Thanks for the feedback, Imaleader. I am going to get my access code at my next meeting and try out e-tools.
I, too, was having problems getting eTools in my area. Someone at one of my meetings figured out how to do it. You go to their website, click on Subscribe to eTools and then click on "See if available in your area". Then there is some green text that says "If your area is not listed, click here". When you click there, it gives the whole procedure for how to sign up for eTools (you need an access code) if it's not offered in your area. Yippee!!
i subscribed to eTools and I really am having a ball so far. It's just been two days, but, I think I have figured it out. The Journal/Food lists give me Half Points! and, I notice, some foods are more POINTS than listed in the Food Companion--especially if eaten in more than one portion at a time. That is an eye-opener!
Anybody used the Meal Plans?
