I am trying to do the WW at home (on my own). At one time I had how it is suggested that you divide your points (2 fruits, 4 vegetables, etc). I am at the high range (300 lb). Does anyone have the points broke out by points goal. But, I can't find it. I am making up a food journal and want to put it at the bottom.
Well, if you add up the points for the lower end, they come to 6+6+4+3+3=21. At the higher end, it's 24. So, adjust accordingly. How many points are you eating? 30 or so? So, you have more flexibility. Add in 1 pt for fat; you certainly can't go wrong adding in 2 points in protein, and another carb or two, and a fruit. Making it a total of 30 or so points.
In terms of the carbs question, you can count them as either... it really doesn't matter. I would count them as veggies, truthfully, and take it from there. Does this make sense? Does this fit into your eating pattern? I count corn and peas as veggies; I count potatoes as carbs... Again, it's your comfort level, and how likely you are to continue this route when you lose, and your points are reduced. Keep us posted on your progress. And, good luck!
Sandy, if you'd like them, I have 3 journals, one for each of the different eating styles discussed in the WW booklet, The Right Mix. Drop me an email ([email protected]), and I'll be happy to send them to you. Each has room to record what you've eaten, as well as the points. And then there are boxes to check off as you eat from the different groups---it makes it much easier for me
