What's everyone doing this weekend? It's supposed to be good weather, low 80's, breezy. I'm getting my mop cut (hooray) and then play some golf. On Saturday, I'll be volunteering at 5K race. On Sunday we're visiting some friends and greeting the little goblins that come to our door. Hopefully they will take all of the candy!!!
Hooray for the Red Sox.
lala, Wow! you've really been cleaning out stuff. You've got me inspired. One thing I don't do is keep magazines. How are things with getting heat in your house?
I have a cold, I cannot pinpoint the germ vector that gave to me, but DP is my main vector these days. I am going to hit myself with all the meds I can today, I am flying to DC tomorrow.
Nothing else doing. Got rid of some stilts today. I have about six other things I want to freecycle, but not until I return.
Lisa -- how many goblins to you get? The nice lady I just spoke with at the airlines said that she gets 400 trick or treaters! Wow, we're happy with 14.
Kickboxed last night and then went to Ann Taylor. They are having an amazing sale. I bought a nice merino wool sleeveless shell and a silk skirt suitable for a wedding this weekend for the nice price of 34 bucks total. Yikes. Also picked up three cap sleeved cashmere shells in assorted brighter than usual colors to jazz up my basically black wardroble. Those were 22 bucks each. I left after that, I needed to get home and get some dinner.
Pam -- Hope you are well after last night's game.
Did everyone see the eclipse?
Weekend plans: fly to DC tomorrow, watch the rest of the movie I started on the way to Chicago two weekends ago (truth about cats and dogs starring my doppelganger Jeanne Garafalo), check into hotel, go to Georgetown and walk around, go to Bethesda for dinner, go to wedding the next day, leave wedding and go out to dinner with other friends.... Leave on Sunday am and come home and carve pumpkins. I hope to not eat too much and get one gym workout in DC.
I'll talk to you guys later, maybe tomorrow from the airport lounge.
Lala: Great job on getting rid of old magazines! I have a box that's been sitting in my closet for quite some time that I need to get rid of--maybe this weekend I'll get rid of them--you've given me some incentive. Sounds like you got some great deals at Ann Taylor!
Lisa: Sounds like you have a pretty busy weekend.
I watched the eclipse in between the baseball game--it was a sight to see. Thank goodness the clouds cleared up last night so that we could see it.
Weekend plans...work at WW Friday night, Saturday take DS #2 to bowling at 8:45 a.m., DH and DS #1 are going to WV with the rugby club and are staying overnight, DS #2 is volunteering at a haunted house at church on Saturday evening and Sunday is up for grabs. The weather is supposed to be rainy so I guess I'll have to plan working indoors. It'd be an opportune time to de-clutter in my bedroom and get rid of old magazines, papers, etc. It's gorgeous here today--60 and sunny. My friend and I went walking at lunch and the leaves are brilliant. I love the fall colors.
Have a great weekend ladies. I'm going to eat my yoghurt and shredded wheat to keep me from eating that fabulous (Not) plane food. My hope is sushi tonight!
We're having a casual day at the office, everyone is dressed in Red Sox t-shirts, hats etc. You would not believe the excitement! Not sure if we'll head to Boston tomorrow for the parade, the crowds will be incredible and Boston is hard enough to get around.
Lala have a good time in DC. I remember that movie, hope you enjoy the second half of it. My doppelganger is Jennifer Grey (from Dirty Dancing) prior to her nose job which changed her whole appearance.
Susan I weighed in today and my goal is exactly 5 lbs to lose by the 25th of November. I'll do it!
Hello to Lisa and Melissa, have a great weekend. I'll talk to you later.
