Alot of people have tried it here, and on Dotties. If it works for you, go for it.
It doesn't matter, as long as the journalling is within a 24 hour period.
My husband works nights, so if he were doing this program it would work perfectly. At 7 in the morning, he comes home to have his big meal of the day, while I'm just having my cereal or other breakfast.

Sounds like you are doing very well on the program already!

Daisy15,
I have been on the WW program for 3 weeks &
I count my points starting with dinner. The
way I do it is that it does not matter what time dinner is, that is when my new points day starts. I get home from school around 3:30, have a snack most of the time & then start counting again at dinner. I have lost 8 pds. since I started so I am satisfied with that.
I have tried this program several times before & just could not make it work. I find this way to be so much easier.
Good luck to you & let me know how you are doing.

Mimosa- how do you count your veggies, water, and milk for the day? do you count them starting from dinner? how do you count activity pts.? toward the day you did it (say Sunday after dinner) or the next day you use them for breakfast... i'm confused...

Hi, Daisy,

I count my points starting with dinner and have lost over 50 pounds.

I start counting my veggies, water, milks, etc. with dinner, just like my points. My day starts with dinner and I count everything from dinner to dinner instead of breakfast to breakfast.

The easiest way to keep it straight is to cross out the "morning", "midday", and "evening" headings on your journal and replace them with "evening" at the top, "morning" in the middle, and "midday" at the bottom. Then each day is still all on one page and it's easier to keep it all straight. You can just check off the boxes at the bottom the same way and so on.

I hope this helps clarify how you can make it work, if you want to try this. It doesn't change anything in how you follow the program. You still have the same point range, same number of fruits and veggies, same amount of water and milk to drink. Some of us just find it easier to stay within our range and to get all the nutrients in by counting that way. I found that I bank more points and am more satisfied with my meals if I count this way.

Good luck.

Daisy 15,

I agree with LinS, I just start counting the
points w/ dinner. For the water I try & drink at least 2 of the WW mugs full plus some more each day. I don't really mark how much I drink I am just aware of it when the cup is filled up a 2nd time. I guess with water it would be easier to count beginning w/ the morning.

I have the 12 week journal & I write down the day next to dinner & the date, what I have eaten & the points & then the next morning I
write on the same page the day & date next to breakfast & lunch. The night before I usually write down what I am going to have for breakfast & sometimes lunch if it is a day I am taking lunch to school. I write in the points & then I have an idea of what is left. I don't make it complicated, you just have to do what is easiest for you. Like LinS said it doesn't change anything in the program..it is still 24 hrs.

LinS... Congratulations on your 50 pound loss...that is SUPER!!

Daisy - as far as "How you count your milks, activity, etc..."
You just do it like you normally would, "your day" is from 2:30 to 2:30, so you would get in all of your "stuff then.
The main thing this has helped me with, is having a little more "variety" at dinner. I usually have no problem doing good through the day, but when I was counting points the "Normal" way, I would sometimes get home and only have like 8 or 9 points left over. But, this way, I am able to be a little more "free" with dinner, and then eat light through the next day.
I do my day 4 p.m to 4 p.m

Good luck

This sounds like what I need right now! The WW plan worked great for me for the first 5 months, but for the past 3 I have been struggling. The evenings KILL me, so maybe this will be a good way for me to ocntrol those damned out of control urges!! I have been out of control for most of the past 3 months, and have just been lucky that I have not gained any weight back. Here's the plan: tonight I weigh in, then I begin journaling at dinner. Its great to hear new ideas like this from others! Thanks everyone
