Good Morning WW

Hi elaineindc ... looking forward to staying on track in June as well... I AM DEFINITELY breaking out of the 160's this month, getting down to 158.7 on my Fitbit scale and getting my 60 lb weight loss badge... and who knows, maybe if I have a really great month weight loss wise... I may even get to GOAL in June!!!

So I'm here... Reporting for duty... Ready to get to work... Let's have a great June everybody!!!

Hi guys.. welcome to June. I had my lady business doctor visit today... my first in five years! I know... irresponsible. Anyway, it went remarkably well. I'm in pretty good health considering my weight. BP is a little high. I can't believe my cholesterol and fasting glucose weren't high. Those kinda seem to be the Big Three with a lot of excess weight.

Rather than taking that as a sign that I am not damaging my health by being fat, I am going to take it as a sign that I got really, really lucky. I need to keep dropping this weight so I STAY healthy, not tempt fate.

TripSwitch: You are doing an amazing job with your weight loss and such a positive outlook. Good Job

KittenIsOverIt: Great job on getting into the doctors office, but try to make it every year, so much can go wrong even within a year, let alone 5 years. But great job for getting on track, now let's lose some weight together

Good Morning WW

Sorry I've been neglecting this thread... the scale hasn't been very cooperative this past week... So I decided to try going back to the gym... And I managed to make it there 4 times this past week, which I'm very pleased with... Haven't started lifting weights yet... I'm going to schedule something with one of the trainers maybe next week and I guess slowly ease back into all of that... We'll see how it goes...

I'm not sure if I shared this here or not, but I'm also trying to do the Beck Diet Solution with WW as well... so I've been pretty busy with that... I am finding the CBT techniques pretty useful so far...

Also even though I'm determined to achieve Lifetime Membership status in WW... I'm also thinking about checking out TOPS... It's funny but in all my years of dieting off and on I never really learned the food exchange system... So I'm planning on learning that... Even if for nothing else but to really round out all my dieting "skills"... Lol...

Kitten that's good news from your doctor... that must be a relief... My weight was causing me all sorts of problems... I had high BP, high cholesterol, I was pre-diabetic... So basically full Metabolic Syndrome... But just losing a little bit of weight and some walking again... And all of that stuff resolved thankfully... Well my cholesterol is still a bit off, but my doc just thinks it's because I've lost so much weight and that once my body stabilizes at this lower weight that will go back to normal too... So I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I really don't want to go on meds for that if I don't have too...

And thanks lovemylife... Here's to all of us having a great June!!!

Oh my, 280! my first ten pound goal met! I'm happy about it, but I think I can do better. I've had four one-pound-loss weeks in a row now, and while I'm happy to be consistently losing, I know it wouldn't take much more discipline to get into the two pound range. Just a little more exercise. Just a little less food. Just a little more sleep.

Kitten, that's you and me, baby. These small losses are nice, but we need a whoosh. I was down 0.6 this week, so still technically in the 30 lbs weight loss range for my ticker. Boo. I need to step up some exercise and sleep more this week. We can do it!

I'm so glad i changed my weigh in day. I still used some weeklies on Saturday and Sunday, but it wasn't the same 3 day free-for-all that I've been doing and for the first time since starting WW, I started off the work week LOWER than my weigh in day. For once I didn't backtrack!

277.5 this morning. I love it.

The scale is showing me some love this week... 276.8 and still two more days to weigh in!

Also... not diet related, but I got an awesome promotion at work! I applied for the position on a whim, I'm not even qualified, never actually thought I'd get it, but here I am, starting Monday.

Default Question???

I'm new here, so I apologize in advance if I amin the wrong place to put this but here goes I am 36, resonably healthy, joined MRC about 2 and a half months ago with the goal to lose 50 pounds. I am completly happy with my progress, I am down 26 pounds. At my dr appointment however, my cholesterol level came back and it was through the roof!! I have never had high cholesterol and have always prided myself on having "great labs"...do you think that this could be related to the protein.

Getting close to my weigh in on Saturday!! Feeling good too! Said NO to donuts and icecream that were brought into work yesterday and had someone bring in bagels from the city today! Ugh they smell and look delicious but just not worth it! Hows everyone doing this week??

Good Morning Everyone Almost TGIF

Amberkkski: That's great you said no to the unhealthy foods at work yesterday. I had the same problem yesterday at work. We had a potluck and huge cake for someone that was retiring.

I didn't touch any of it. One of my co-workers cut me a piece of cake and I wrapped it up and sat it on the desk for the afternoon shift manager. I was so proud of myself.

Let's have a great Thursday. Will check in later

Weighing in in the morning...fingers crossed for a little more progress than I've had in the last two weeks. Tonight I have a meeting at my kids' school, so I am really going to be able to stick to the plan because there will be no temptations at all.

278 for official weigh-in this morning. I was looking to increase my loss to 2 pounds a week so I was right on target.
