lala: Thanks for the tips. I hope the weather is decent; I will need some sweaters as it has been in the 90's here.

Susan: WATP means, I think, Walk Away the Pounds

Hope you're all having a good WW day.

No Guilt And Move On, that is a very Dotti Weight loss Zone saying, but its true

Sea Lions are a pain in the keester. They have great data, they track them with satellites and they give pretty nice returns on where they have been and how deep they have dived. However, they also have Time Depth Recorders that give you this binned data that tells you that they dove for a period of time and they dove deep at certain depths, but not when. That you have to figure out yourself.

All I am trying to do is visualize these puppies, not right a paper on their fricking distribution. So, I have to get the data into a format I like, and then make the virtually swim through the Bering Sea by say, Friday.

Yikes.

Okay, back to work.

Lala: Thanks for the saying...I've heard about it before but was perplexed when I saw it "abbreviated", lol. In any case, I've moved forward.

Susan: WATP = Walk Away the Pounds...Leslie Sansone tapes that I enjoy doing but haven't been doing them.

I've been doing well today and feel "empowered" to continue in the right direction. Went out for lunch today at noon with my mom and great aunts and had a 1/2 pita filled with Ceasar salad & plain chicken along with fresh fruit. I started out with a small cup of wedding soup so all in all it wasn't too bad point-wise. Dinner tonight is going to be Zatarain's jambalaya w/Hillshire Farms Turkey Kielbasa. I've checked off all my little boxes for my water in my journal today--just need to work on the veggies/fruits.

Default Swedish Fish

Okay, I don't know what happened to me yesterday, but I started eating Swedish Fish (it's candy) and couldn't stop!! It was absolutely nuts. Why do I do that?

Melissa: I have been having some trouble eating my fruits and vegetables as I should.

Good morning! It's nice here this morning so I got a short 15 minute walk in this morning before work. I like being able to start my day with a walk when I can. In just a couple of weeks the kids will be out of school and I'll be able to get to work earlier and that means more morning walks. I work in the downtown area but it's not "downtown" like you'd think...there are businesses but there's a great main street that is tree lined and has a bunch of beautiful old homes. They used to call it "Millionaires Row".

I feel so good about yesterday! I stayed right within my points (21) and I was able to check off all my boxes in my journal! Woohoo!

Domina: I've had similar experiences with tortilla chips...can't figure it out as to why I do it other than the fact that they're available and I'm bored/tired, etc.

Lala: How's the data coming? Are you making any headway with it? I find that sometimes I'm better off stepping away for a bit and coming back to a project that I'm having trouble with and then things seem to click into place. Sure hope you're making progress!

Hi everyone.

lala: That sea lion stuff sounds like fun (not). Have you found the right format yet? I'm having my own trials and tribulations here - working with a newbie consultant who doesn't understand that the client is paying for the report and has a right to an electronic copy.

Domina: For you it's swedish fish, for Melissa tortilla chips and my downfall - sesame rice crackers. Can't have 'em in the house any more. Went to Costco yesterday and bought another big bag - but for my sister. I figure if I can't have them in the house, I want to know that someone does....

Melissa: Good on ya for having an OP day. Yesterday was my turn for the 30-point extravaganza. I'm taking lala's NGAMO advice though. I did fine with water and exercise, so 2/3 ain't bad. It sounds like you have a beautiful walking route to work. I'v mapped out a good one too - along two lakes, a small pond and through a large park. There's even a very steep hill for a good cardio workout.

Dark and overcast again today. I think they're forecasting rain until Monday. So much for yard work this weekend.

I'm off tomorrow, so have a great weekend everyone, and remember our challenge...

Hi all,

Ooh Domina, swedish fish. yum. My favorite candies are anything that are sour. So I stay away from sour patch kids, jolly ranchers and those nasty warhead gumballs. Good thing I shop at TJs, the local coop and our farmer's markets or I'd be tempted.

Melissa- Good for you and taking the walk before work. It must be beautiful in PA right now.

Susan- The route you have mapped sounds delightful. I'm glad you have tomorrow off and hopefully the weather will be nice for the weekend. I have to mow (doesn't take that long) and finish picking up prunings this weekend. I think its supposed to be nice here.

Oy, my data..... Turns out I was doing it all wrong. We have decided to take a 20 day chunk of the data and use it for demo purposes. For one thing, this animal went back and forth for about 12 days on and off a island, so the data are all very bizarre. I finally ended finding the right scripts to generate the correct line to show the path the animal travelled, this will make my life soo much easier. So now I have to figure out how to populate the data so that we can make a path of it swimming through the water column. It should be lovely and it better be done by COB today.

So, scientists and furry thigns are not my favorite things today.

Other than that, sunny and beautiful here. Had to take mr. Jacques to the vet to day board as its too hot in the car and our cleaning guy is coming. They are doing a 120,000 service on him too.

Hi everyone!

I had another good day yesterday and even got some walking in so it was good all the way around. Today I'm doing okay...we had a picnic at lunch and I did well with that. I'm battling a sore throat so I'm drinking a lot of water...it's more annoying than anything...feels like sandpaper in the back of my throat.

Not much planned for the weekend--Saturday I'm working at WW in the morning and then we're all going to a restaurant afterwards for lunch. One the girls who works with us is moving away. DH is heading to Pittsburgh on Saturday morning so it'll be just the boys and me at home. I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend

So how's everyone else doing?

Hi Melissa and everybody,

I'm doing okay. I was here until midnight formatting data, but its done. Now I'm waiting for my programmer to do his magic.

Now I'm just being a petty bureaucrat and making powerpoint presentations until my other programmer finishes my widget front end so that I can make up some sort of verbiage.

Did I tell you how much I love my job?

Other than that, if I can get out of here by 6:30, I'm going home, pour myself a huge campari and soda and mow that lawn.

Farmer's market tomorrow, gym, garden, pack, dog walk and work, same for Sunday. Nothing new.

Glad to hear you had a good day, I hope that DH has a great weekend in Pittsburgh. Looks like a nice city, but I've only been through the airport. Hopefully, you and the boys will have a quiet weekend at home.
