Hi girls!! Sorry i kind of dropped off the face of the earth halfway through February. Things were crazy for a bit, then I had school vacation and it was hard to keep up with the chat while at my friend's house and then it was hard to jump back in since so much was going on here!! You guys are a chatty bunch

But March is going to be a good month...I can already tell!!! I went to my weigh in this morning and was down a pound. This is seriously the first weigh in since Christmas I think that I was actually DOWN!!! I have a whole bunch of work to do to unravel the awfulness that was the beginning of the year, but I am ready to go!!!

At the meeting this morning, it ended up snowballing into a "I'm stuck...I need help" type of meeting and it resonated so much with me. I bought an Active Link on my way out and it's currently charging. I'm excited to see what that does and see if the AL can get me moving in the right direction! I am so excited and feel rejuvenated and I desperately need this boost.

Here we go

Hey everyone. I am experiencing a scale that won't budge. This seems to be cyclical. I stay the same for several days then drop. It's also my PMS week, so I am very depressed and want to eat a lot. I have stayed on plan and I will be glad I did once I get on the other side of this thing.

My husband has lost 5% of his weight in 2 weeks on WW. He has never dieted before. I am proud of him, although it is frustrating how fast weight comes off for him. He also doesn't have to deal with PMS. Men. Ugh.

Vent over. Hope you are all dominating March!

Good evening everyone! February was 'okay' to me I guess. It was my first FULL month on WW. I tried a fad 3 day military diet last week and didnt even last the 1st day. Was way too strict and I was SO HUNGRY! My coworker is about 100lbs thinner than me and she did all 3 days and lost 8lbs..I just began exercising this week. Walked almost 1.5mi +1.5mi daily at work and today I did 1.5mi on the treadmill. Also, found out that I like Grapefruit! Tried it years ago and did not like it. I find that eating healthier is getting much easier! I would rather have a yogurt than a candy bar..Been over a month with NO soda and NO fast food..Yay!! :-)

Today, I was back at work after sickness and two days off. It was ok, besides the mucus and itchy throat (TMI). Working on making some sort of delicious dinner. Tomorrow morning I plan on getting up and doing Jillian Michaels kickboxing dvd and some cardio. Which one goes first? DVD or Treadmill?

Meghan Woot Woot! I loveeee not having cravings for gross food anymore. I am enjoying the "experience" of eating. Good food makes me feel awesome!

geekmadre Oooooh girl, I know that. If you recall, last week I wanted to destory all of the things. Then this week, boom! down 4.4. Mother nature, you are a real B*tch. lol Keep your spirits high. You are kicking mayja butts.

Chele I wish my meeting was more conversational instead of so "we're starting late becuase we don't have enough staff to weigh everyone intime to start at the schedule time"-ish. Vacation is fun. Enjoy vacation.

A friend of mine did that. I thought she was CRAZY. She's like, "I can't restrict my calories all the time or I go crazy." Uh, telling yourself you have no willpower is crazy.

I have to say I lucked out and have the best leader!! She's adorable and makes fun of herself as she goes through the "lesson of the day" if she messes up. She encourages participation and is hilarious with her reactions, especially when it's not necessarily a lively meeting with responses. She always looks around and then will say something along the lines of "Well, apparently it wasn't a good week for us...no one wants to talk" LOL I love her!

Weigh-in today...I am excited to be down 2 lbs. I did buy cupcakes to take to a family gathering yesterday from a cute local cupcake bakery and I ate 2 throughout the evening, but counteracted it with an intense class that involved jogging up and down 2 flights of stairs 5 times and lots of jumping jacks and jogging that morning. I am hoping that eating 2 cupcakes after a 19-point dinner doesn't have a sleeper effect (like weight gain a couple days later..haha). I did end the week with 11 weeklies left and I did not dip into any activity points, so I may be okay (I am reassuring myself here..) I do need to find a strategy for controlling myself when I am eating with family and there are all kinds of yummy foods that I just avoid when I cook for myself.

Sounds like a great plan to start the week! How did it go?

chele- sounds like a great WW meeting. Glad you have a good leader

that seems like an awesome marker of success - sounds like this is a lifestyle you may be able to stick with for your life, which is the marker of a great, sustainable weight control program!

3 times! Nice...that doesn't sound easy....that pusher sounds persistent

Hey folks. I'm a massive lurker and thought I should come back into the public a little bit. I recently made the switch from overnight work (hospital pharmacist) to days/early evenings and it was a real wakeup for me. I did no activity, ate horribly, was depressed but didn't realize it (man, I missed the sun), and finally had the "we want to have a baby, but I need to be healthier" talk with my husband.

So I'm on week 3 of doing things online. I managed -4.8 week one and -4 week two. I'm currently on the trying to do more than one "get sweaty" activity bandwagon to help get me out of the funk overnights drug me down into. Luckily, I live on the Gulf of Mexico so we are slowly inching forward to my favorite season of summer (it really starts in April here) and getting back into the water. Until then I've been trying to increase my biking distance as it's woefully short and sneaking in a weekend yoga class when my schedule lets me.

Welcome Jilu!!!! Glad to have you here with us It sounds like you have a good plan in place to get you out of the overnights funk and back into the brightness of daytime working!!!!!

I am in my first day of the Activelink Assessment and it's so weird not being able to input what I would have thought would have been activity points into my online tracker from my gym time this morning. I was so confused at first when I was on the mobile app as to why I couldn't find the quick add "activity" section like normal. LOL

Hi guys! Lost 1 lb yesterday at my WI. Not alot but not compalining because since holidays this is the only month (feb) that I saw a downward trend on my weight. So still happy

Speaking of workout dvd's. May 2012 I did the insanity workout. Its was tough and so hard!!!! I kept cussing at shawn T I followed everything he did. The hardest part like juming, pushup jumps or any super hard ones I modify it. Because if I truly did what he did I might have broke a bone or two . Even though I get mad and frustrated with that workout I love insanity. I did loose some of my weight and I noticed I gained a little bit of muscles. Now I need to do insanity all over again but my problem is my dvd is with my cousin. I gave it to her last january (after the holidays) but up to now she havent even started it yet. Bummer! :

chele615 are you talking about the WW app? I am having problem with the app too in tracking activity points. It wont allow me to track my activity on the WW app. That's why I have to log in on my PC to track it and its a hassel!!

jilu welcome!!!

straightahead congrats on your loss!!

Straightahead The DVD and the cardio was awesome. Like I said, I have been sick and am now dealing with some sort of weird respiratory, congestion thing. So I was only on the mill for like 10 minutes before I quit. So out of breath. So fast. But the DVD was AWESOME! I am excited to do the next workout on it. I really like Jillian Michaels. At some part, I forget why, I actually LOLed. It did what it was supposed to do. I was sweating. Feels good.

Jilu Welcome! We are one chatty bunch, that is for sure! I saw that you posted in another thread and were asking about ActiveLink and other devices and what people knew. I thought about that AL for a little bit, but didn't like that it was solely centered around WW points. I would like to know numbers. Calories burned, flights climbed, that sort of stuff. So that AL didn't have that. The FitBit does tho, and I like it. I MAY purchase that. But today, I just bought a Polar HRM I got this one. I just kept going back and forth about the money. So I got a pretty good discounted price on that bad boy, and will start monitoring calories burned. I do the same thing pretty much everyday, so the glorified pedometer just wasn't for me. Right now. Anyways, that's my two cents.

myfavisblue ~ Yeah, the WW app. Mine is like that though because I'm in the assessment phase of the Active Link setup. I was able to input with no problems prior to that. I just forgot that it happened like that when I went in yesterday. It still lets me check the healthy guideline that I exercised, but no actual points are given.

Hi guys
Just waving hi for a moment. Weekends are crazy for me because I do weekend doubles at my job. What little time I am not working, I am sleeping. About to finish my shift in an hour and a half and am going to crash.

I'll check in with all of you tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know I am still alive.

Oh Ladies, it's Monday. Where does the weekend go?!

Oh God - so, I weighed in on Saturday and was only down .8 from my last weigh in. I flipped out. I was so mad since I hadnt drank at all the previous weekend and was so SO spot on. So, as I'm flipping out I tell the woman weighing me, "This is so d@mn ridiculous. I didn't drink AT ALL!!!! NO BOURBON FOR ME AND I LOSE LESS WEIGHT NOW THAN WHEN I DRINK!!!" She just looked at me with a sadness in her eyes and said, "Danielle, please don't go home and drink." Went to a wedding a drank some - not a ton though. It was wine/beer and I'm a purely bourbon girl.

But - today is the start of my 11 week tri training which means no drinking because I hate life when I drink and train so hard. Though, I say this every time and end up drinking at some point because of my d@mn friends. Slowly, I'm getting them all on the triathlon band wagon so they don't drink either. 11 weeks til my season opener! I'm very excited!

Ok ok - I'm rambling...

--------

Smashlers - I went with a super simple wedding band, too. DH went way above and beyond with my engagement ring so I wanted something super simple and cute for my band. Glad you're feeling better!

gooch100 - I used to work out in the morning but DH prefers the evening so I go then. He hasn't worked out at all during our off season (skinny @-hole) so I just go on my way home from work. If I go home, I stay home. lol.

Chele615 - Welcome back!!! I love my ActiveLink! You'll be amazed at how much you were over estimating your APs - at least I was. I don't dip into my APs, but I like to see them. When I manually put my APs in before my ActiveLink I was getting 16pts for a 1 hour spin class. Now I get 6 APs.

straightahead - Oh God I hate the sleeper effect. It messes with your mind.

Jilu - I <3 biking!!!

myfavisblue - I can't do all of that jumping around business. My boobs are out of control and I'll get a black eye.

roxannestags -

--------

Breakfast: 100 Greek Yogurt, Vitatop, berries and coffee - 5pts
Snack: Berries + Granola Bar - 3pts
Lunch: Chicken Soup - 6pts
Snack: Hummus + veggies - 4pts
Dinner: Shrimp and cheese stuffed pablano peppers w/ mexican rice: 16pts
