Default entertaining ww history

The link is for some interesting weight watcher recipes from the 60s/70s. I found it very amusing. Thank god we don't have to eat this stuff now.

Well, Trixie, we lost much more weight and faster back then and didn't fool ourselves into thinking we could just eat anything and be healthy like I see so many doing now. More and more people are becoming obese - and teaching their children the same bad eating habits - and we could use a return to the basics where ice cream, cake, pie and cookies and stuff like that we treats and not daily fare.

Shoot, if someone is eating that stuff on a daily basis (and are not blessed with a great metabolism) than of course they are going to gain weight. Unless, they are running 10 miles a day or something. That's pretty much a no brainer.

I think the biggest problem is not WHAT people eat, but that they eat so much of it and then sit around and watch TV or play on their computers all of the time. I am constantly amazed at the sizes of restaurant portions. (biggie fries, anyone?)

By the way, the Web site was absolutely hilarious!

Laughing so hard! I actually remember those old days when we'd try and fool ourselves with making "gravy" out of pureed cauliflower. ICK!
