Higher fiber foods are more satisfying, once you get used to them. White flour, refined carbs etc just tend to make me hungrier!
I try to stick with the higher fiber breads as well. And reminding myself to add a protein, like this morning I had a whole wheat bagel with WW cream cheese, but added a banana and I actually feel full.

I am going away again this weekend for a romantic weekend away with hubby and am now thinking oh great, I can't even enjoy a few drinks guilt free *sigh* it eats away at me when I don't do well, and I am trying my hardest. I do snack on fruit more than veggies, perhaps that is part of my problem?
This is not my first kick at the can so to speak. And the one thing that I have come to know, is that eating whatever I wanted on vacation is not what made me enjoy my vacation. You have to get to a place where enjoyment, fun, celebration is not about the food served. Hard as most of us were raised with food as a big part of any celebration. It should be all about the people, the place, that which is being celebrated. Anyway, I use to say the same thing to myself, about food and being on vacation, but no more...Dh and I take our food scales the works ... we are campers, and carry on as if we were at home. We did the same thing without the scales of course when we were in the Dominican.

Try preplanning. I mean you don't have to plan out everyday of the week, but what I do is say: I will have such and such one day this week as a meal, but I can't eat it the same day I eat such and such. Just try to balance it out. WW works.
