Ok I'm on WW.ca and I don't seem to see all these changes. I'm I not looking properly or is it because we are Canadian it's not here yet?

You hit the nail on the head; it's because the new changes haven't been officially rolled out up here in Canada yet. I'm excited for my meeting on Wednesday to find out all about the changes!

I went today to weigh in and received all the new booklets. I received two new books including 'Meet PointsPlus 2012' and 'Living PointsPlus 2012'. I also got a new pocket guide and a new weight loss record.

I was told my points won't be going down and they are introducing three new weekly PowerStart ideas during the classes. I hope to go to a class later this week to find out more about the powerstart ideas.

The leader at my meeting briefly mentioned it Saturday (since it wasn't coming out to meetings until Sunday but it had come out online already) and said that point went down only for people (maybe only some of them) who were at 29.

However, even if your points didn't go down automatically (like for my husband) you can apparently adjust them by up to 3 points if you want (so long as it would not bring you below 26 points). I really like that change.

The points seem to have only changed for some people at 29....I'm at 29 and it stayed the same. However, I just got to 29 points a couple pounds ago, so that could have something to do with it.

That is correct Chele615. If you just got to 29 points it probably doesn't change. And at some point you will get to 28 or 27 or 26. It has a lot to do with your height and how close you are to goal weight. Bear in mind, however, that you can adjust it down if you aren't happy with your loss at 29 points.

One thing I like is that some people were finding that if they ate 29 daily points they couldn't eat any weekly points to get any kind of reasonable loss. I was able to eat some weekly points but not many and was losing about .7 pounds a week but as I get closer to goal was losing closer to .4 a week. Now, I can have my daily points be 26 points and can allocate to Weekly Points some of the 21 points I got back from doing that. I would much rather have a lower daily point target and be able to use more of the weekly points (or not use them as I choose).

Koshka: Did you adjust your points down to help you eat more weekly points?

I was at 31 points and she said my points won't change. A few weeks ago I was at 32 points, and because of the weight loss I am now at 31. I think 31 is perfect for me, and I usually eat most of my weekly points and have still been losing weight.

Simply Filling is the same as the old Core Plan - on your no points day you can only eat power foods or use WPs for things not on the list and only eat until satisfied, not full.

I have thought about joining Weight Watchers, but decided against it because I was not sure how the new plan would work out. I was wondering how all of you liked it and if it was easy to follow and worth the money?

agoin1, I joined in September and compared to other diets I've tried I love it. It doesn't restrict you hardly at all - and you learn to eat in a way you could actually feasibly maintain the rest of your life. The tracking for some people is a deterrent, but its a major part of the plan. The weekly accountability keeps me on track as well with the weigh ins. It's worth it to me, and actually kind of enjoyable every week to meet friends and see how they're coming along and having support from people going through the same experience as you.

My boyfriend is a EXTREMELY picky eater. Meat and potatoes, every dish must have a meat, avoids fruits and most veggies... used to get taco bell with no lettuce or tomatoes... that type! And he is loving the program cause he can find ways to just change things into whole grains or add in fruits and veggies with what he eats. I've opened him up to a variety of new foods and they're within his spectrum of taste still - and healthy. It's a very good program in my opinion.

I have seriously been thinking about joining. I have a friend who joined this summer who seems to really like it and has lost quite a bit with it.

I really like the tweaks they made to the plan. I like how you can personalize your daily points and weekly points (within a range). That makes sense. The person who is 25 who has an active lifestyle (not talking about activity point here just general activity) probably has a different metabolism than someone is 30 years older and more sedentary.

The one person might lose great eating 29 points each day plus 49 weekly points and then eat every activity point. When I became a lifetime member 20 years ago I could eat every one of my points and still lose. Now, I can't do that. So for me adjusting down to 26 points and not using all my weekly points works best for me.

So, this is a great change since it gives you more personal choice to make the program work for you.

Agoin1 - I have found WW worth the money. That said, there are other options for group support such as TOPS that cost less and know some find them successful as well.

I've been doing it on my own for the past 6 weeks or so and have lost 15 pounds. All the information is readily available on the internet if you google it, and there are many free and cheap apps available for Android and iPhone for tracking and points value databases. (I personally use and love Points Plus Diary that was $1.49 for Android and the developer is awesome about keeping it updated and taking suggestions).
