I love all the little challenges all over 3FC but I have trouble sticking with them. I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a Weight Watchers only challenge? Maybe not a competition, exactly, but a challenge to stay on program for so many days or meet every good health guideline or something? We have such a fun community on this board I think it would be awesome.
Or we could have an ending date, like Labor Day or Halloween, and see how much weight we can collectively lose by then if we really put forth the effort to stay on program in every way?
We could have weekly mini-challenges, too, and the 'winner' for the week could pick the challenge for the next week?
I love all the challenges that are around the site, but I find that I post in them and then might forget about it if it's not in a frequently visited portion of the forums, like the WW forum is for me.
I agree, like a tracking challenge. I've tracked for the last 13 days in a row, and for me that is a huge feat! And of course exercise and weigh in challenges would be fun too. I like this idea!
I'd love to join in as well! I'm finally getting back on track with my tracking (eek at that wording!), and I think a challenge like this could be super fun.
As for structure or deadlines, well maybe Labor Day to start, and then if we all like it there could be another one going to Halloween.

Reason: wow, confusing my holidays! Switched Memorial for Labor.
I'm partial to ones that focus on eating on plan, or earning more activity points, or getting in good health guidelines. I don't think "end dates" or "deadlines" are bad things! It makes the challenge successful, and complete. And then there's the excitement over starting a new challenge after successfully completing the first one.
I have a few challenges upcoming for myself based on the change in seasons, but I love seeing ones based around holidays, too. Simply because holidays and certain seasons can be difficult, and having a challenge is a way to step things up. I like challenges that last at least one month, but probably not more than a few months. Sure, I want to be doing this forever, but in my mind challenges are supposed to be medium length so that I can benefit from the boost of completing a challenge, while still putting forth the effort to stay on plan for a good length of time.
I, personally, avoid challenges that promote xx lbs by xx date. Not that they're wrong, but they just aren't for me. I just don't like the added stress of worrying over the scale.
Or if we're all a little divided on what the challenge is, we could even have a "Do It Yourself Challenge!" Members pick the goal individually. We just have a common end date. And that way we can support each other based on what the individual goal is.
I need a challenge. I hit my 10% and celebrated by being lax this week. Now I'm up (mostly water retention). I really need to get serious about measuring and tracking everything.
Ok, so how about we start this challenge now and end it by Labor Day, and then if people want to continue we could go to Halloween/Thanksgiving/etc?
I say we all post a starting weight and then weigh in weekly and if anybody has any good spreadsheet skillz (I don't) we could have a spreadsheet with everyone and pounds/percentage lost throughout the challenge.
I say we also post personal goals for the challenge (behavior, a weight loss milestone, whatever you like) and we can also have a group goal that we work at for the week like tracking, drinking enough water, getting exercise.
