Thumbs up beer

I am such a happy girl, right now. I thought all beers/wine went way up points-wise, so I haven't bothered to drink any. I gave in and bought some Bud Light w/ lime tonight and the nutrition facts are (per 12 ounces)- .9 protein, 8 carbs, 0 fat & fiber which calculates to ONE POINT! **** post-edit: NM, it's not, it's 3 or 4 pts. ***

BL w/ lime is the best on a hot day.

Actually, if you type it in on the search bar with your points tracker, it comes up as four points. (That's what I found on there on Friday anyway.) It's the alcohol that gets ya because it's not taken into account when you punch in values using the points calculator.

She means the online tracker, like e-tools. On WW online, in their "Beer Cheat Sheet" article, they do say that most 12 oz "light" beers come in at 3 points (and they list a handful of Budweiser varieties, although that specific one is not included, but obviously they can't list every beer out there).

Thanks for the input everyone, I appreciate the quick responses. I don't have access to e-tools, but I did see that article. I guess 3-4 pts is better than no beer on a hot day.

Although I still don't understand why the pts don't correspond with the nutrition fact label.. I know it has to do with alcohol content, but why wouldn't it be included on the label/calculator somehow? That seems kinda misleading. I'm curious, are there any other foods out there that are like that?

The points don't correspond to the nutritional information, because you need to look at how many grams of alcohol is in it.

But there's not a way to do that with at-home materials, unless you have e-tools, right?

If you google "how many points plus for beer" you can find many places that have the point value listed.
