Default I should not fit into these jeans!

So last time I did WW was July 2009 - December 2009 (at which point I stopped, gained it all back plus some, hence why I'm back!). My 27th birthday was in November 2009, and for my birthday party I purchased a pair of jeans from Torrid. At that time I was probably, oh, around 270 or 260 (I can't find my old journals), but I'm gonna say roughly 20 lbs smaller than I am right now.

On a whim I decided to try the jeans on today and THEY ACTUALLY FIT. They shouldn't, but they do. And not in that I can just barely get the zipper up, but comfortably fit, I can sit down and move around fit.

I guess there really is something to be said for exercise and losing inches and not just worrying about the number on the scale!

Thats awesome!!!

I had some kind of disconnect in my brain it seems, because i know ive lost weight... 27lbs so far -but its a number, and when i look at myself, i dont see any changes at all. All my curves are in the exact same places. then i put on this pair of jeans that i know before i had to lay down to zip up and they were SUPER tight, they were almost falling off my butt when i tried walking to the mirror to see what i looked like in them and then it hit me how much weight i actually have lost. It took that pair of jeans though to really make me realize it. Not the numbers i see on the scale. I couldnt beleive what i was seeing. I was holding the waist band out while i was wearing them and puffing out the front part and thinking how weird it was that i was THAT big, and that i dont see any difference in my body at all when i look in the mirror. Everything is the same i guess, just a scaled down version lol.

That's how I feel, too. I've lost 24.8 as of this morning and I don't really *see* it. But over the weekend I put on those jeans and one of my favorite tops and I suddenly could see the weight loss. And it makes me feel good about myself to know that I'm doing more than just losing weigh, but losing inches, too.

Thats so awesome Tudor! And to think, next weigh in you may be adding another rose to your signature!! I regret not measuring when i started WW, i took my measurements about halfway to where i am now, but soon i will do them again just to see how far ive come. I need to see those things to know... its hard just seeing the scale number. I am one of those people that even when ive hit my goal i will always beleive i am fat. So its something i am trying to work on. My self esteem could use a boost for sure.
