Good morning, good morning, good morning! Hi all. Thought I would come back and say 'hi' for Friday while I was up.

I woke up to 'pee' and decided to come down and see if the government's computer had taken my FAFSA yet (I left the computer on and went to bed at 12:30). And of course I had been 'timed out'. But the good news is somehow by the grace of God, the computer had saved every last bit of my info and apparently no one else is up at this time of morning because I was able to submit it now without a hassle. WooHoo! I printed my signature page at 7:11 PM last night and I got my 'sent' confirmation at 4:29 AM!

Gotta know the day is going to get better. I have to work today. It will be hectic. But tonite we are going to have 'Fun Friday' 'cuz we bought tickets for a fundraiser at my kid's old high school. The band puts on a Mardi Gras party. Some of the bands are the entertainment, they always have surprises, they pass out the beads (no, you do not have to bare your breasts to get them, Thank God!!!!) One of the local restaurants, Red Hot and Blue (don't know if you have these where you are, but it's great) does the catering. It will be a real nice evening. We're taking my mom too to get her out of the house.

Gotta go back to bed. I think I can still pull out another 2 hours sleep if I work at it. Love to all.

Good morning and TGIF! I can't tell you how much I have missed you all. Almost 3 weeks ago I broke my patella (kneecap). It's a minor fracture but I spent several days taking some pain meds to help ease the initial pain. After that I was frankly so down about everything that I just couldn't get back here. I hate that I can't go on my treadmill and am terrified that I will take a lot of steps backward in this weight-loss quest. Amazingly, I have managed to drop a couple more pounds but am now on a plateau that probably won't budge until I can be more active. I am trying hard to stay OP, but it has sure gotten tougher.

Anyway, I am sorry that I haven't been here to give hugs and kudos and join in the conversations. I really miss that a great deal. WTG to all of you who are seeing those numbers heading down down down!! And anyone who is stuck...hang in there. I just know we can do it, in spite of setbacks!

When you lose something for a while...then you can REALLY appreciate it when you get it back! I appreciate all of you.

Regards,

Tina

thinthinker: Is hubby working with you a promise or a threat? LOL Sorry to hear of your FAFSA woes. Got ours in on time, but I just handed it over to the college and they did it for me. I don't know the details of Mardi Gras . . . does one get more beads if their boobs are bigger? Wow, would I be in luck! (But I bet the beads wouldn't hang as low. LOL)

I am Tina: Ouch! You sound like you've been in a lot of pain. I guess is a break is a break and they all hurt. Could you work with hand weights or something?

2oM

PS Hope you all have a GREAT weekend.

2oM...thanks for the hand weight idea! As a matter of fact I have been doing some of that, as well as some work with a big "rubber band" thingie, and even worked on a stationary bike using just my right leg to pedal. Where there's a will there's a way.

That's why I really missed everyone...no matter what happens someone can suggest something to make it better.

Hope everyone had a great week-end

Mine was terrific, I'm refocused and starting to get some extra exercise. I pulled out some old exercise tapes and started walking this weekend. I also read the WW week 12 book and it got me looking at some of the other books. What a difference in the way I'm thinking again. I really feel like it's week 1 or two and that was 6 months ago. So anyone out there having a tuff go of it, pull out those books and remember why you started this journey. We can all stay in this for life and get healthy together.

Have a great day folks

Talk to you later.

Brenda

Hi all, reading all of your posts is so supportive and inspiring. I just started WW about 6 weeks ago and I'm down 25 pounds and still going strong! I've been on so many different diets over the years, I don't know where I've gotten the willpower this time, but I sure am not complaining! It's such a great feeling when you finally realize that you can do it! This is also the first time I've even been exercising and drinking the water in addition to staying on program. I do find it is so important to write everything down in the journal, whenever I don't, I feel lost. Well, my next goal will be my 10%, then I guess we'll take it from there. (I didn't get to WI last night, cancelled due to the weather) now I have to wait until next Monday night to find out how I did. I don't even have a scale in my house. I guess I've always been afraid of them...LOL. Hope everyone has a great week.

Hello, I'd like to join your group if you have room for one more. I've joined WW countless times but have yet to get to goal. This time I will make it. I have for the first time fully committed to the program. In the past I always tried to tweak a few things here and there, not worry about getting to the meetings, etc, but this time I'm not going to play games with myself. I am so psyched

I am 39 (will be 40 this year ), married with no children or pets, and am a hockey nut. I also love to cook and travel. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.
