Melissa, your weather is sure up and down. Congrats on the loss. I know you told us, but where are you going on vacation? I've been eating too late in the day! That is not good. It also causes me to have trouble sleeping.

Lori, I hope they can pinpoint what your hip problem is. I've been struggling with all sorts of cysts over the past couple years. Why do our bodies produce them? They're very annoying.

Hi Ladies,

Happy Friday! The weather is gorgeous and suppose to be the same for the weekend. I think we'll be going to the Eastern States Fair. Hopefully I'll be able to keep my eating in check, but it will be difficult. The baked potatoe in the Maine building and the blueberry pie in the New Hampshire building always get me! Other than that not too much planned. I need to finish painting the bathroom but I've been slow getting that job done. DH and I are doing some minor repairs and touch ups to the house in preparation for putting it on the market next spring. I've been in that house for 14 years so lots of decluttering must take place this year!

Melissa congrats on the loss. I've given up trying to determine when I'll have a good weigh in. Seems like when I do everything right it doesn't show up on the scale until a few weeks later. I'm also having irregular TOM's which doesn't help the situation. I also seem to be maintaing at a heavier weight which I'm really not happy or comfortable with. I hate to think it is age related. I really would like to be at least 5 pounds lighter.

Lori it was unfortunate that the MRI machine broke down but at least you made the best of the situation by catching a nice little nap! I hope they are able to determine what is causing your hip pain. I hope you have a nice vacation next week!

Lisa Where are you going for your vacation in November? I agree Christmas is getting close...someone here at work has one of the countdowns to Christmas and it's already less than 100 days! Do you have golf plans this weekend??

Lori I hope they find the cause of your hip pain and that it's nothing serious. I don't like to WI when I'm not feeling good or have been sick because my weight it usually up!

Lisa: We're going to Maine--we've got reservations for the Portland/Kennebunkport area. I can't wait! October 13th can't come soon enough!

Pam I can't ever tell how my WI is going to go--I was totally surprised on Wednesday. I keep telling myself the weight trouble is not age related--heck there are people older that are able to maintain their weight where they want! I'm hoping that once I get the TOM issues laid to rest that things will fall into place. One can only hope!

The weather here is beautiful and the weekend is looking promising. Tonight I'm heading to DS #2's football game--it's a sellout so it should be a lot of fun. No major plans for the weekend.

Melissa - sounds to me like maybe this whole TOM business is playing into your weight loss maintenance. Hopefully when you get it taken care of, everything will be easier Have fun at the game tonight!

Pam - Are you talking about the Big E? Everyone around here has been talking about it. I've never been (I grew up in a town near Lawrence, MA even though I live in RI now).

Lisa - I had an ovarian cyst removed a year ago. They basically knew it was benign, but with my then recent leukemia diagnosis, they wanted to make sure 100% and surgery was the only way.

My dentist appointment went OK this morning. No more cavities, and no fillings about to fall out. Since I'm planning on getting pregnant soon, I wanted to make sure that any work that might possibly need to be done get done soon - so good news on that front. I'm leaving in a couple of hours to see the orthopedic doctor about my hip and the results of the MRI. Wish me luck! Sorry I won't be around next week to post I will miss you all!

Pam,Forgot to mention where we're going in November. We're headed to Savannah for a mini-trip. We're staying in a cute bed and breakfast.

Melissa, How coincidental. DH and I are discussing going to Maine for our vacation next year. You will need to give me some pointers. One of my coworkers said that Acadia National Park is a must-see. I would like to see Bar Harbor.

Lori, I hope you lose the "sick weight" and I hope the orthopedic has some good news for you.
