Default Little help(encouragement) please!

Ok the scale hasn't moved in two weeks. Not up, not down just the same 240. Ok my food has been off. I wasn't eating enough and I probably need to kick that up a notch. Also I started lifting again for the past two weeks. So it probably both the addition of weight and the subtraction of food that sent my body into a tailspin and it decided to stay still. Just need to know I'm not alone and this happens from time to time and that I need to keep going in spite of.

Age: 37
SW:264
CW:240
GW:160
Training Plan:
Monday lunch: Upperbody weights
Monday Night: Long run 45-60 minutes
Tuesday: Spin 45 minutes with intense intervals for LT threshold training
Wednesday lunch: Upperbody weights
Wednesday night: Medium run 15-30 Minutes
Thursday Lunch:Spin 45 minutes with intense intervals for LT TT
Thursday: Play in the pool for recovery, I do not swim
Friday:Medium run 15-30 minutes(15 minutes on recovery weeks)
Saturday: Long bike ride 2-4 hours( I love this!!!)
Sunday: Are you kidding me! Vegging in front of the TV and eating!

I'm training for a Duathlon some time this year, there are two that I'm considering one in June and another in December. In the meantime I'm doing a 5k here and an organized bike ride there. I was losing steady 2lbs a week until I started lifting again but I know I need to lift (stay injury free, tighten up those arms, ect). I don't lift for my legs b/c it just wipes me out for my other cardio efforts so I use heavy resistance in Spin class and on my weekend bike ride and the muscles in my legs are OUT OF CONTROL(they look good)! Guidance please Gurus. I've posted here several times and always get great info.

Thanks Ruthie

Hi ruthie,
What does your diet plan look like? For me, losing weight is 100% about the diet. If I don't monitor it carefully I won't lose weight no matter how much I exercise.

If you are only running a modest caloric deficit you might even have lost a pound or two of fat, and just not be seing it because of water retention.

I'm supposed to be getting 1800-200 calories a day. I know that over the last couple of weeks I've been getting much less than that. I agree that nutrition is 95 % of weight loss. Even when we don't eat enough. I'm 100% it's not because of over eating but under eating. Now for the last couple of days since I got back to the 5-6 small meals I feel much better. My dietitian gave me an allowance of 8 meals a day. I'm working on that. It sounds cool but that's a lot of chewing.
