They had it all written out on the blackboard during the show. I will have to tape the show next time it turns up and write the Cal, protein carbs etc. down (I am a calorie counter) or puzzle it out from the ingredients.

IIRC, the three snacks ranged from ~75-140 Cal.

I will post about it if I try the recipes.

I loaded the "protein bar" recipe into fitday. Here's what is in a whole panful of the stuff!

source grams cals %total
Total: 3715
Fat: 137 1229 33%
Sat: 20 183 5%
Poly: 45 409 11%
Mono: 55 494 13%
Carbs: 487 1759 47%
Fiber: 47 0 0%
Protein: 186 742 20%
Alcohol: 0 0 0%

In a slightly more readable form: Total calories are 3715. Protein/Carb/Fat ratio is 20/47/33.

For me, I'd have to slice it into 12-15 squares. But the ratios are really off for the way I eat, and what fitday doesn't tell you is the whopping load of sugar that's in these.

They look like they'd taste good, though Of course, I think a brick with peanut butter would taste good

I think I'm gonna start bringing oatmeal to work. I made mine with protein powder last time! It was so cold this morning on the bike, I still haven't warmed up! I'm a total wuss!

Meg,
I tried your muffins - choose first recipe but blueberries instead of banana/nuts as I do not like bananas in the pies and muffins. Muffins turned out OK, but next time I will not use Splenda - I do not like the taste to start with, and the amount ont he recipe was way too much for me - so they turned out too sweet for me. Next time I will use half of sugar or honey instead, in whole though I am impressed that something with protein powder can be tasty and filling Thanks!

I also tried granola from Power Trip and I am disappointed. I could not cut it in pieces as granola turned out crumbly and I just had to scoop it into the dishes. I followed recipe to the T, so it is either my "special touch" or what? Anyways, hubby is scopping it now out of the dish

Cheers,
Sandy

Mel....my name is MeL.
I usually make it with less splenda, too, Sandy. I hadn't thought about blueberries! That's a great idea

MeL,
I am sorry, I imagined writing to you, but put Meg's name - I am not sure if it makes you feel better

Ilene - about granola - hubby did not like it! Said tasted like crap (and I did not even tell him it has protein powder in it!)

I finally bought from my gym different protein powder from company called Champions nutrition and I LOVE it. Even hubby sipped on protein shake and said - well, this one is MUCH better!

Cheers, Sandy
