Default Favorite concotions?

I know we all have our own methods for eating healthy in creative ways and sometimes mention our concotions in other threads, but I thought it'd be nice if we could have one where we list our favorite inventive ideas.

I've recently discovered my love of yogurt. I mean I've always liked it but for some reason lately, I'm loving it so right now I'm eating a concotion I just thought of this morning:

equal parts cottage cheese and yogurt (1/4th to 1/2 cup each ?)
Chocolate protein powder (I used 1/2 a serving)
Almond slices (just a few)
sugar substitute of your choice (I used splenda)

Nutritional info (not counting protein powder because those vary): for 1/2 cup of lowfat cottage cheese, 1/2 cup of nonfat yogurt, 5 almonds worth of slices - 172 calories, 25.6 grams of protein, 5.2 grams of fat and 14.2 grams of carbs.

Next time, I think I may even add a little almond extract to up the almondy flavor. In general though, I like mixing yogurt and cottage cheese because I am not the biggest fan of cottage cheese at the moment.

Protein powder (nonflavoured), frozen peaches, ice water and a dot of almond extract. My favourite breakfast!
Sometimes I throw in a couple of strawberries for a little different flavour. The other day I used half a banana because I was starving. Good too.

Nelie -- PB is the and that's all I'm going to say about that.

I made something really good this week -- Oven Roasted Ratatouille -- but it's not exactly a concoction since it involves cooking. So I'm going to post in our recipe section. If you're not a big fan of veggies, it's a great way to make them taste delicious.

Meg, I love peanut butter BUT I don't eat it very often. I have a jar of natural peanut butter that I bought a few months ago and it isn't even half full. The concotion is good without peanut butter though but with it is awesome.

Last night, I made some cabbage lasagna with spinach, mushrooms, lean ground beef, lowfat ricotta and mozzarella cheese. It was quite good and lots of veggies.

Oh Ilene that sounds good! I may have to try that especially since my fridge has an apple in it right now.

My concotion this morning was... 1/2 cup or so of lowfat cottage cheese, some crystal light sunrise (fake orange juice), 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, 5 ice cubes, a table spoon of nonfat yogurt, a teaspoon of sugar free metamucil orange, a teaspoon or so of each of ground flax seeds, wheat bran and wheat germ. I wanted to have some fiber this morning and it was quite filling and was kind of orange creamish.

My Favorite? That is hard....
On the PB thing ...one of my favs is Oatmeal w/ a lil' PB and splenda. My trainer actually had me eating this every morning for awhile ,along with a comprehensive eating plan that included alot of other stuff.
One of my staples is Protein Powder w/ espresso (I have an espresso maker) on ice.
I put unflavored Protein Powder in or on ANYTHING. It may as well be a condiment.

I'm taking notes...lots of good ideas here.
XOXO

Lately I've been taking 1/2 cup cc, 1 pkg of sf jello, 1 cup boiling water and blending like mad with my stick blender. Then I poor it over some cut up fresh fruit and chill. My favorite is banana with strawberry/banana jello. It usually makes two snacks for me so I'll have 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the afternoon.

Evangeline -- that does sound yummy!

I just finished a great milkshake...

3/4c water
1 scoop whey protein powder
10 frozen strawberries
1 tbsp powder FF chocolate pudding
1/4 tsp each of ground flax, wheat bran, wheat germ, sunflower seeds... (I have this mixture in a large bag already pre-mixed to add to anything from cereals to shakes)

Blend with stick blender and voila a great shake....

How about bean dip? I use a can of black beans, a clove or two of garlic, a small onion and lime juice. I use a food processor. I used to rinse the beans first but I need some of the 'juice' to replace what is normally a drizzle of oil. I still rinse most of them.
I just put a heaping tbsp on a ww tortilla with a handful of baby spinach. Yum! A wee break before I go back to my vaccuum.

I just had a wonderful breakfast so I just had to share:

Pancake:
4 oz egg whites
1 lg egg
1/2c oatmeal..... blended all the ingredients till smooth and put it in my large pan sprayed of course with Pam to cook... then set the pancake aside ...
I then chopped an apple in cubes put in the pan alone in the center, sprinkled some cinnamon on it, then drizzled a tablespoon of SF syrup... I let it sit covered for about 3 minutes till the apple was soft and caramelized... I then put it on one half of the large pancake and folded it over...OMG it was devine!!
