Just thought I would start this thread because I truly think we NEED it at the moment!

What delights Ilene:

1.. Laughing with D one on one... She is sooooo comical, I asked if she acts this way with her friends, she said no, they'd think she was nuts... I said naw, they'd think you were a comidian!

2. Laughing with S one on one ... He's the more serious type tho...

3. Seeing S's excitement over his course choices in grade 11, because he want's to be a paramedic and he can actually see himself doing that! Warms my heart

4. DH .... he makes me laugh all the time....

5. The scale going down.... like this morning....I was shocked!! I wasn't excpecting it....

Ok.... NEXT!

I've been thinking about this today. These are the things that delight me/interest me:

1. Crab hunting on the beach with my son
2. Traveling & staying at a beautiful hotels; don't care where
3. Watching my 5 year old son sleep - he looks like a baby again
4. Giving gifts to my Mom
5. Reading novels (constantly)
6. Driving home from the gym after an excellent work-out, feeling exhilerated
7. Living life sugar-free, eating healthy foods in moderation (no binging)
8. Building a snowman and going bowling with my son like I did today - we had an awesome day together and I feel so good about it
9. Doing special things for hubby because he always thanks me for it
10. Spending time with my sister, b/c we always laugh our butts off about our completely crazy, dysfunctional parents - who we happen to love very much - but just get a kick out of them!!!!!!!!!!

having a great conversation with my sister
hanging out with my nephews
waking up from a great night's sleep
looking at diamonds
knowing it's sunday night and everything is organised.

Today - I'm thankful for waking up and having the opportunity to make today count, even if in the smallest way.

One of the things I love most in the world is being near the ocean - even just sitting there looking out at that endless blue, listening to the waves and the seagulls and the people... its peaceful just thinking about it.

-going away for a day and seeing the evolving of this thread, is great!
-anticipating a good workout, and hoping to see a couple of g/f there...
-journaling and having my coffee first thing in the morning when no one is awake except me and the cats...
- light snow, may as well enjoy it rather than complain about it, because I know it will go away...

Things that delighted me today
- being able to check online that my tax return was received already
- seeing the scale unexpectedly down a bit (not my "official" weigh day but I'll take it anyway)
- getting to see the "unveiling" (in our kitchen ) of a painting of my mom which I think is fabulous and which she's buying from the artist

You know what's better than sheets out of the dryer? TOWELS out of the dryer after having a shower..... mmmmm.... warm.....

for today;
trying a recipe and realising that it's so good it could become a 'staple'
hot coffee on a winding morning
waking up to hubby trying to turn the alarm off but using the wrong button and changing the radio station instead! Nice to wake up to a laugh...
