Pain in arm

  • I was just wondering if anyone had any advice.

I broke my arm when I was 11 years old. It was a pretty nasty break; I broke the humorous bone. I actually had to have it re-broken to straighten the bones before it had healed. The arm I broke feels a little different still in the top then the other one.

Anyway, the other day after I was lifting weights I got a terrible pain in the spot I where I had broke it. This has not happened before during lifting. The other arm felt fine, and the weights did not feel too heavy.

Do you think it is related to my prior injury, or did I just over do it? Should I stop lifting? Is there some way to prevent this?
  • Check it out with your doctor. It may have just been a twinge, and be fine, or it may be something you need to be wary of. If it is related to the prior injury, most likely you could resolve it or prevent it in the future with physical therapy.
  • Hrm, that's what I was afraid of it continues, that I will have to get it looked at by a doctor. I just didn't know if someone had similar experience or maybe it had nothing to do with the prior injury and I just over did it.

I was supposed to have physical therapy on it when I was a child, but my mom only took me to it one time. I didn't attend the rest of the physical therapy.
