I would stop drinking coffee, drink a fair bit of water (dehydrated?) and check how tense my upper body was. Also think whether I was constipated. I wouldn't exercise, I'd probably go to bed and hope to sleep it off. Make sure the bedroom's ventilated.
That's where I am now (bed) so I'll wish you all good night.
Hope it goes soon, Alena.

I'm here. Spent yesterday in Anchorage meeting two out-of-town friends for a long (2+ hours) lunch. THen I spent an hour or so at the computer store getting our old PC in shape for DH (ALena, I'm confused about 32-bit vs 64-bit, though I know I have 32.... ).
Today I'm feeling under the weather. My stomach is "off" - not quite queasy, though I have the headache that goes along with that, but sort of fluttery. Food is not interesting me so I know that something's not right. I'm not going to the gym, but I may try a nap.
Alena - I can't exercise with a bad headache. It gets worse if I do, and has led to vomiting in the past. Ick. (But I've suffered from migraines since middle school, so my history is different than yours)
Birch - hope these antibiotics finally do the trick!
Shannon - glad that the shoulder is feeling some better.
Rabbit - you'll be over the jet lag just in time to take off again.
I don't know if they are available in stores. I bought mine straight from the Iron Master website. They don't seem to have a list of retailers that might carry their products on their site. Their is a contact form, though, so perhaps you can inquire through that.
I've never had plates come off on mine. Even if you don't tighten the end cap fully, the spin lock would have to make a few revolutions before unlocking so I don't think it would be an issue.
Wow, Depalma. Now I want those. I like the fact that they come with enough weight plates to fully load both dumbbells, unlike some of the other ones that I have seen. I have to find a way to have them...
My headache decreased (to a reasonable degree) after I got home from work, but I missed the kickboxing class. At first, I thought I would have to abandon the plan to exercise altogether but later I felt good enough to go to the Pilates class at least. There was only a handful of us and she stepped it up a notch, and it was a bit taxing for my lower back, but I am reasonably ok today.
I snuck out for a 40 minute after 1pm. It was lovely, hardly anybody in the pool and for a while, I was actually the only person in the entire pool until some new swimmers arrived but that was only a few minutes before I was leaving.
I think I will take a breather tonight and hopefully do some weights tomorrow and the hot yoga. Wish me luck. I worry that after 90 minutes all that will be left from me would be a big greasy spot on the floor.
Pat,
I used to get a LOT of headaches but they eye-related and after I had an eye surgery, the headaches are almost non-existent (other than an exceptional one like yesterday and a few days before TOM, those are normal). But I ate my share of Advil before I had the surgery.
Lydia,
Lookie lookie - I found you a lovely house! Not exactly in Fairfax, VI but I'm sure after you see it you won't mind. I would have expected the kitchen to be nicer (for a house of that price category) but I absolutely love the living room windows (the view of the yard), and the sunroom: Clicky (make sure to click the More button to see all the pics)
BF sent me this article: Popcorn
That sounds like a healthy snack - 3 tablespoons of veg. oil, 3 tablespoons of butter, 2 tablespoons of truffle oil - sheesh!
Alena - I drove around my subdivision this morning and was amazed at how many houses they are building right now! We are a 60 lot subdivision, only 23 of them were built for most of the last three years. Now all of a sudden they have sold 5, have contracts on 5 others, and are building on all but about four of the lots in the subdivision. Kind of cool! I think you will enjoy the hot yoga, though you may feel like a puddle on the floor after. I always did! Glad your head settled down yesterday.
Thanks, Shannon. I do feel better today. I had a great LB workout. Maybe it was 2 days rest, but for whatever reason it went really well, and I was able to up the weights on the two different lunges. We get a new workout schedule on Monday, so I'll post it for you.
I also picked up the PC monitor I found on Craig's List. It's a flat screen, but the square size. DH doesn't really like the rectangular one on the new PC (but he tolerates it, along with the new TV ). Then I went to the grocery store near where I met the woman with the monitor. It's a Costco wannabe, and they have several things we can't get in our local grocery, and better prices on toiletries and paper goods. Finally to the gym, then home. I've showered and had lunch. I'm about to go get dressed and head off to Anchorage for dinner (and a few errands). It's been snowing off and on, so I hope the forecasters are right and it'll taper off soon.
Thanks Pat! Always looking for new workouts! Glad you are on the mend - sometimes the rest helps more than anything else. on the increased lunge weight!
I got a good workout in last night, posted in the Maintainers Moving in March page and forgot to post it here, will go get it and paste.

I can still ski!!!!!! I landed on my butt in town yesterday sliding on ice in front of a StarBucks. Amazingly, not only did I not break my hip, but none of my grande latte landed on my white parka.
I love Breckenridge- so much that dd and I bought a timeshare today. The biggest impulse purchase of my life!
It's really really cold here but THANK YOU CROSSFIT for the endurance, strong quads and aerobic capacity to do this at 12000 feet!
Woohoo Mel! Congrats both on the timeshare as well as on landing so skillfully that you did not spill you latte on yourself. Now THAT is what I an accomplishment!!
Holy cow Mel, you are at 3600 m ????? That is AMAZING, how are you even able to move in such thin air!!! You are NOT anemic!
and :congratulations: on the timeshare!
Alena, Pat, Shannon hi!
Lydia...are you thhere yet?
Birch - how are the lungs doing?
Cheryl - ??? what are you up to?
No exercise today but another day of editing to do, in preparation for my trip to singapore...it is extra work now, but I always enjoy these trips a lot.
Mmmphh. Just got a look at Phase 3. We're back to 4 days lifting, 2 cardio, 1 rest. Their schedule is LB, UP, Cardio, LB, UB, Cardio, Rest. I may try combining LB/UB one day or one with cardio so I can have a second day of rest, seemed to work better for me. On the other hand, the workouts are shorter. The longest one - an UB - has 8, the rest 5 or 6.
BUt, now I must go to the gym and finish up this week's workout!
Height: tall enough to know what's on top of your refrigerator
Happy weekend, everyone!
I had a good morning catching up with an old friend on Facebook, then a great workout at the gym and a trip to the store for healthy foods.
Mel, I forgot about the altitude! Drink TONS of water! I know you will have a great time.
I had a giant light bulb moment today. Doing the BFL plan not only helped me achieve fitness, it also gave me the tools to make other huge strides in life. So what am I waiting for now? I'm going for it!
