The whether training prices are negitiable really depends on the gym. My prices are set by the gym owner who is the head trainer. Clients who came with me from my previous gym were grandfathered in at their old price of $550 per 10 and have just gotten a price raise to $60. New clients come in at $700 for me, or $750 for the head trainer. I can occasionally throw in a free session for a long-term client (all my clients are long-term at this point), but we are a private training studio- no one is there without a trainer and I'm rarely there without a client. Everything is well accounted for. One trainer was taking cash every couple of sessions with some of his clients and he was promptly fired. The previous gym where I worked was the same- we had an into offer of 3 session that were highly discounted, but after that there was no discounting (except for buying large numbers of sessions) and no negotiating. Trainers who tried were cautioned, then fired.
