Hi all,

Pink champagne? Haven't had that since I snuck some of my parents when I was about 13. Tasted horrible then to my Kool-Aid trained palate! :p Hope you and the hubby had a wonderful evening.

SuB, you aren't sick unless we all are sick. :dizzy: My hams are squealing and I'm luvin it!

Time-out for the truck? Must have beena really naught Tonka. How long did the truck have to go away?

I guess Cupid was right on "TARGET" HAHAHA I know, bad pun, but congrats and have a wonderful time in Jamaica!!!

Swimming is a great individual and team sport. In addition to all the health benefits it also equates into college scholarships, endorsements, and possibly even modeling if your babies stick with it.

Hi erebody else. No cardio this AM. I slept in til 6:30 and am doing Tae-Bo tonight with two of my girlfriends. It's snowing here in Michigan and although I'm irritated about it, just like Lydia, I really can't complain cause this has been a relatively simple winter. Oh yeah, I also realized today that my birthday this year will be 07/07/07!! Maybe that means this will be a LUCKY year for me?!?!?!:lucky:

Blah!

I'm so :tired: that I just tried to lick a self-seal envelope. Then when it didn't stick I stapled it up. Only when I'd stapled it did I see the sticky backing tape on it  So I unstapled it and peeled and sealed!

I went to buy caffeine so hopefully I'll be goodo to go by 5pm and I'll be able to ride to kickboxing without falling off!

tikanique 01-30-2007 09:56 AM

Yep, that champagne really worked!!!!

We will be staying at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios. I have looked at so many different places. But I picked that one. I've never been so I'm looking forward to it.

nelie 01-30-2007 10:22 AM

SFJ - Congrats on your honeymoon. DH and I are actually in the process of planning our second honeymoon for our one year anniversary. Costa Rica looks like it is the current favorite. Once the wedding is done though, you will be so glad that all the planning and stuff is over!

Oh my, the scale dropped a lb today. I have been making Tuesdays my official weigh in day but every Tuesday for nearly a month has resulted in the same thing. Today was different. I am still 2 lbs above my wedding/ticker weight but that is ok. Also TOM is starting so I didn't expect any loss.

DH called me out yesterday. "You had 2 hot chocolate and a full serving of chocolate, does [TOM] really do that to you?" I had 2 hot chocolates (25 calories each) and some dark chocolate (100 calories). I hadn't been having dark chocolate after dinner for a while just because I had made it a habit. So it wasn't totally bad but still was a bit of a chocolatey yesterday :)

We did our Karate DVD yesterday too and my arms are sore. I know I need to get on the elliptical as well and so some weights but knowing and doing aren't always synched up with me :)

 Tiki - it must be pretty potent stuff since I haven't opened the bottle yet! We're having a brown belt celebration party tomorrow night (He doesn't know it yet) with champers, Rocky and chocolate (well it IS brown... )

tikanique 01-30-2007 10:34 AM

woohoo Nelie on that scale dropping!!! Doncha just love the achy feeling of freshly worked muscles?

Man Fru, the bottle ain't open? Then that must be one helluva label!

4rabbit 01-30-2007 10:43 AM

Hi LWL,

So good to read about everyone's doing!!

Frus - Pink champagne ? How absolutely lovely!!! My cousin sent me abottle off chanpagne las january, to celebrate me buying the house. it was really a festive event!

Nelie- great news about the scale dropping!!!

SFJ - HOneymoon in jamaica sounds fabulous!

Hi to all the others, Tiki- it is so great to have you back on the board again! Tae-Bo with friends?? is that including Billy?

Today is THE day...this morning a crew of landscapers moved in and 3 enormous conifers are GONE!!! I'm going for a stroll in the garden shortly, to enjoy the view. Also..the scale seems to have dropped just the tiniest bit. i really hope so, because i am very much trying to stick to my non-munchies scedule, but I find it hard. Nonetheless, the pantsometer is thight, so I really have to lighten up.

have a great day all,
rabbit

tikanique 01-30-2007 10:48 AM

Yeah Rabbit, Billy is considered a friend. I've known him for YEARS!! I had gotten really bored with the 4 tapes that I have but doing them with other people makes it fun. It might sound a little mean but my friends look hilarious doing Tae-Bo (I know I look a hot mess too) so its entertaining for all of us AND a great workout.

SFJ, you'll love Sandals Ocho Rios, I hear that is the nicest of them all and no noisy planes bc you are not near the airport. Sandals really does a nice job, but just keep in mind that the playmakers are there to get everyone active and it's ok to ignore them. They'll leave you alone after the first day or so. We ended up giving in bc you get those little sandal leather necklaces for every event you do and we got hooked into collecting those. Make sure you climb the falls in Ocho, we did that and it was the most fun I have ever had on a trip. It's not too hard but very cool thing to do.

Lydia227 01-30-2007 02:11 PM

NELIE: Yeah for you and the one pound drop on the scale this morning. I am STILL trying to make mine move down. I even pick the scale up and put it back down on another tile in the bathroom thinking that maybe I'll be lighter over here than over there. :goodscale:  Man, each and every pound is hard earned!

Oh, by the way Nelie, every time DS2 sees me at my laptop on this site he want me to scroll up to your avatar. He thinks you are his preschool teacher all dressed up. I don't have the heart to tell him yet that the world is much bigger than the one he knows. :^:

TIKI: So do you do these workouts with your girlfriends in your home? That sounds like fun. Except if I were to invite my friends for a workout at least one of them would be sure to bring a couple of bottles of wine too and the whole thing would be shot. You really didn't think we came here to sweat did you?!

FRU: Feeling better this afternoon? I probably would have just left the staples in the envelope and just said "There." Kind of like a personal statement about the kind of day I would be having.:rollpin: Maybe I would have even added a few extra just for fun. :p

RABBIT: Enjoy that beautiful view of your garden. I've had two trees taken down in front of my house over the last few years. It does make a huge difference in how much sunlight filters into the home. :sunny:

SUSAN: I skipped abs today too. The snow did stop long enough for me to head to the gym. Got in an hour of cardio evenly split between the elliptical and the cycle. I was going to try out some new core exercises with the ball this morning but the mats were full and I just didn't want to wait. :snooty:

It started snowing again. Nice fluffy flakes. It's so pretty when you don't have to go out in it. But :censored: it is cold. Nearly froze my fingers off while loading the trunk with groceries after my workout. My sweat soaked hair froze from the gym to my car in the parking lot. Brrrr.:shocksn:

2frustrated 01-31-2007 04:36 AM

 Lydia I know what you mean about those hard-earned pounds! I have to have my toes in the EXACT same place on the scales otherwiseit's not the right reading!

I salvaged the afternoon by getting some caffeine down my neck and that seemed to do the trick! I made it to kickboxing - which was good since I got a call just as I was leaving the office asking if I could take the class, which I did, so a good job I perked up!

I must say I feel so much better not having been to the gym yesterday and Monday! I think I've caught up my sleep from the weekend and my body has recovered from my belt test (it wasn't THAT hard but it certainly was tiring! ), so I am going back in the gym with a vengence and going to set some more pbs for squats! :D

Then DH and I are going to have that little brown belt party! I've decided it's goat's cheese, apple and honey sandwiches, then a smidge of Ben and Jerry's for pudpud, with champers and truffles to follow :D :T And hopefully I'll be able to squidge it all into my calorie allowance even though it's pretty sinful! :)

srmb60 01-31-2007 04:54 AM

I'll beg Meg is up and on her way to a gym somewhere :) Not me, perimenopausal. I'm going to go try for more sleep since I have to work afternoons today.

I did legs 'til wobbly yesterday and they feel lovely this morning.

Mel 01-31-2007 08:10 AM

AH, the last day of January! A light dusting of snow and it's cold a :censored: out there!
Sluggish cardio done- I'll do more later. Off to lift shoulders, train a few clients, buy some cold weather boots for ds ( he going CAMPING twice next month, brrr!) then more vigorous cardio.
Day 3 of squeaky clean eats.

Lydia- I move my scale all over the bathroom. Facing east works best for me. I gave up on hitting it- just had to buy new scales too often!

Congrats on the pound, nelie :) They sure are hard-won!

A super-excited hyper-active Frus checking in to tell you about the latest Gym Victory.....

I was warming up on the rowing machine, which is next to the squat rack, when I noticed an unusual occurance - a MAN. SQUATTING! :faint: I've never seen anyone in any gym EVER use the squat rack to squat. Then I just happened to glance at the weights he had racked on there (competitive? Moi?) and saw that he was lifting 25lbs lighter than I was going to lift!  :faint: :hyper:

So excuse me while I squeal like a girl...

EEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

:dancer: <--victory dance!
