i just want to make sure we all understand the difference between dumping, with is a physiological response to a heavy load of carb in the revised digestive system, and throwing up/things getting stuck, which is a mechanical thing.
dumping CAN make you toss... but not always. and it's an ugly thing.. it's caused by too much sugar or carb that passes through the outlet of the tiny tummy into the new intestine. large amounts of hormones and water rush to the site, and try to help, but we end up sick.
things getting stuck - not chewing well enough, eating too fast, eating somethng too fibrous [like PEACH SKINS!!!!!!]. very very painful, but a different kind of pain than the dumping. i've heard of some folks sipping water to help the wad pass through, but that always made things MUCH worse for me...
soooo that's why the carbs without protein is NOT a good idea. dumping.
ok. getting off the soapbox now...
