Well, Peachie, DH informed that the car goes to the dealer at 8, not 7 this morning so you aren't the only one screwed up! Well, at least I would have been early instead of late!
One day, I am working around the house getting some things done, when I happened to think that I needed to go to the bank. So I get everything ready, I'm ready to go, and then a revelation came to me:
ok ladies. there are very few people in the world who would understand this, but i KNOW that you folks will...
a neurotic moment.
bought a new pair of jeans [no elastic!!!!] over the weekend. a size 20. the ladies at LB told me i HAD to because the other ones were falling off again.
so, this morning, i went to the gym in sweats, and then went into the locker room to change. and i took the jeans out of the bag, and stared at them. and stared at them some more. how could they possible FIT???? they looked so tiny!!! well SURE, they fit when i bought them, but how could they possibly fit NOW???? buying them was such a big mistake!!!!
i came VERY CLOSE to putting my sweats back on and going home to get another pair of pants!!! but i didn't. i put them on. and they're FINE!!!!
hey... i never said i was rational about this weight thing!!!!
Jiff this is for you what a couple of GOOD days you have had!!! Size 20!!!! That's terrific! And 200 pounds..........I'm so glad for you!! You are my hero!
Never made it in here yesterday, walked with Hazel, met friends for lunch and visited my friend Valerie's grave yesterday to place a small basket of flowers in honor of Mother's Day. That was pretty tough........I miss her friendship so much. I just don't know what this weekend will be like for her husband and children.
Jiff and any other post-op, how much fruit do you eat?? Right now, I can't get enough strawberries, they are so good right now. One problem, I have always loved strawberries, but it is the only thing in the world I am alergic to.......I only break out in a rash when I eat too many. Back to my original question, is fruit a part of your daily intake?
Chickadee.........OH Chickadee.......where are you? When is graduation again?? Are you doing a graduation party? My kids graduated at 8PM, made it very hard to plan anything for after......it was so late!
Mary Beth, glad to hear the Repairman has finally come around. You will need his support.......I'm not going to fib, surgery is not easy......but you know that......and his support is very important.
The coffee cup is empty......off for more! I hope everyone has a great Saturday
<bowing as gracefully as i can with a purring cat on my lap while i type this>
thank you deb!!! and it sounds like you had a fab day... even with the cemetery visit. i'm sure valerie knows your around for her family...
the purring cat has gone... now she's bringing me toys to play with.
about the jeans... we all know we wear one size larger in jeans, so that means [and yes, it's true!!!!] that i'm wearing 18s!!!! from about size 34!!! yep! deb.. you and i are FABULOUS!!!!!
now about the fruit. we're not getting local strawberries yet, and i'm counting the days. about another month i think. but i try to eat a piece of fruit every day,. don't always make it, though.
the tangerines were very good this year, as long as i didn't eat that little tough part where the seeds are. and i get the no sugar packed red grapefruit sections in a jar. makes life easier. and the cut up fresh pineapple in the produce section. cherries, melon, kiwi, berries, PEELED nectarines and peaches [maybe it's time to post THAT WARNING again?], a little apple, just about anything.
i've always found two things about fruit: even one piece a day keeps me regular, and helps keep me out of sugar. a worthwhile investment.
gotta go post something on the bad and the ugly thread. about ice cream.
