  • Jill
I've been lurking here for a long time. Just wanted to say congratulations on your marriage and good luck with your upcoming surgery!
  • !!!!HURRAY!!!!

Crossing everything that will cross without pain that your insurance accepts all the work you've done and you get your date sooner rather then later!!!!

You've worked hard Jill, you deserve this!

  • Thanks, everyone!
Quote: Did you tell your family about doing this? What did they say?
I told my mother (who I'm assuming told my father) and my sister (who I'm assuming told my BIL), and that's it for family. Some others know, like a couple friends and coworkers that don't know my family so they can't spread the gossip!
  • Oh Jilly, congrats!!! This is a sure sign that everything is going to work out just fine. I'm so excited for you!!!! Changes, they are a comin'!!!!
  • Congratulations Jilly Girl I'm so happy for you.

  • Congratulations
  • Congrats on the wedding and may I say you have a gem for a husband. Please keep us updated on the new insurance covering the surgery. My story is the opposite of yours i am getting a divorce and i am worried about having to switch insurance companys in the middle of the process. Does the new insurance cover it as soon as you switch or do they make you wait?
  • Just back on line. I am so happy for you! What a sweet guy. Glad that there is one more sweet one and I dont have the only one! lol
  • heh, yeah, I figure I'll keep him around for a while
  • TJJSMOM, I am, sorry to hear that you are going through a divorce. Insurance usually lapse after 60-90 days. You may want to insurance reps becuase they will be able to give you an approximate date. Also, you will still have some time for the divorce to finalize and for your spouse to remove you from the insurance plan. Hopefully you will get your surgery in between all of that.
  • Worthy... I spoke to human resources at my job (my husband and I work at the same place) and they said that he can drop me at anytime and I can pick up my own insurance. I have my consultation on the 21st and I am going to have him drop me on the 22nd after I double check with the surgeon. I am going to switch to Aetna because I am told they only require 90 days.
Oh yeah and don't be sorry about the divorce it is not always a bad thing...lol.
  • I am so glad to hear that. I have Aetna and I must say my process was fairly smooth. It sounds like its all going to work out for you Yes, I know all divorces aren't bad, for some people its been a long wait At any rate sounds like you are on the road to new beginnings
