Try eating some protein for breakfast, sometimes the sugars in the fruit and the carbohydrates can "crash" your blood sugar.

Also, if this is the first day of your lifestyle change, then it's maybe your body saying, "Hang on a minute... we usually eat more than that! WHERE IS MY FOOD?" In which case, try to ride it out for a while, drink plenty of water, chew some sugar free gum or clean your teeth

Then you eat. You don't need to strave yourself in order to lose weight. Try some protien for breakfast, that will help keep you full longer. Drink a big glass of water - if you are still hungry then have something to eat!

I eat about every two hours or so. Really!
What might have helped you was to have had some protein for breakfast. However, at this point .... just go have a little something. A boiled egg, a piece of cheese, a slice of turkey

Yep, eat some protein at each meal to keep full longer, and drink some water.

I tend to take my fruit from breakfast and eat it as a mid-morning snack.

Try 1 tablespoon of PB (whipped PB Only has 70 calories) because that always hits my spot. Or I take a piece of oven roasted turkey breast (25 calories for the Walmart brand) with a piece of ff sharp chedder (30 calories). Either choice will give you about 55-70 calories of good fat and protein to cure that hunger.

Go Sooners!

I don't know about anyone else, but when I ate breakfast (I don't anymore, I just have a glass of skim milk because I'm just not hungry in the morning and I got tired of trying to choke down the food) I did much better if I ate egg whites or some other higher-protein food. They say oatmeal fills you up? Bah! I'd eat a bowl of oatmeal and I'd be 'starving' by 10am. But anytime I ate eggs and/or things like Morningstar Farms breakfast sausage or turkey sausage links and some milk, I went much longer feeling full than if I'd eat hot or cold cereal. I tried Kashi (which I couldn't stand, the texture turned me completely off) or some other 'healthy' cold cereal or oatmeal or oat bran or the like, and I was so hungry just an hour or two later. But if I ate eggs (either egg whites or Egg Beaters, etc.) or some other high-protein breakfast, I could go till noon or later before wanting lunch.

I often have peanut butter on WASA bread or dark toast, sometimes with Smuckers All Fruit -- and a banana... it DOES leave me feeling filled up and energetic.

The oatmeal and fruit are good, healthy choices-but you might be more satisfied if you switch it around a bit, to get in a little more protein at breakfast. This will hold you out a little longer until "snack" time. Try the oatmeal, and an egg for breakfast...and then save your piece of fruit for your mid-morning snack.

Thanks to everyone whoh has offered advice! I am finding that I need lots of protein. My body can't make do very long if I don't have quite a bit of it. Fruit lasts me about and hour. I am not sure why, but nothing seems to keep me satisfied, but high protein foods. Again, thanks to all!!
