WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST PROBLEM IN WEIGHT LOSS: working all the veggies in that I should eat. Not a veggie person!!!! And not losing control, which I done in Sept. of 2000.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT THIS TIME THAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL: I had to change what I had wrote in this space. If I learned anything over the last year, it was that I can only handle one day at a time with my food. My obsession with food can hit me at anytime, and it is a very hard thing to fight with will power. I thank if I need anything, and I do, I need exceptance of everything that goes on in my life. Exceptance is the key to my happiness today. If I except everything I won't live in aggravation all the time. I do what I can and leave the rest alone.

I've been married for 38 years. I completed my education after being married and having my children. I retired three years ago and was loving every minute of it until my husband's workplace closed. We now live close to our two daughters and my three grandchildren and that is a lovely bonus, however, we previously lived in a very small town where everyone knew everyone so I miss my old friends and aquaintences and am having some trouble adjusting to the changes in my life. I smoked for 33 yrs and quitting was the hardest thing that I have ever done. It took numerous failed attempts over the last 15 years which caused a weight gain of about 60#. What is the biggest problem with weight loss? - My biggest problem with weight loss is my mouth. I can't seem to stop stuffing it with food. I am a compulsive overeater who uses food to comfort me instead of handling my stress in a positive more constructive manner. Also I had to be on a drug called Zoloft for a time and that made my appetite virtually uncontrollable. Even the docters agreed that this was a contributing factor towards my spiralling weight gain (although not the only factor involved)
What's different, that this time you'll be successful? - For one thing I am off of the Zoloft. I am becoming a lot better at handling my stress and am eating healthier foods. I have also decided to lose the weight for me and noone else.
