Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called.
Rodney let himself go completely. His friends were uncomfortable when he was around. He ate constantly, and he seemed to grow larger by the day. No one knew how to talk to him about it, so they let it slide. Finally, Barb took him aside and asked him why he was destroying himself. She told him that people were losing their respect for him and couldn't understand it. In anger, Rodney told Barb it was none of her business and stormed off. As Christians, it is other people's business when we follow paths that are not worthy of Jesus Christ. He has called us to be living examples of Himself. To be less than that is a sin. Let us try to live life in a body fit for Christ.
Today's thought: Do people see Christ when they look at me?
Good evening! Power walked and ran errands before I punched in at work. Had a very busy day. Got everything that needed to be done in the fitting room done. Will power walk to supper in a few minutes.
Ciecie It's sad that the others haven't been checking in or that they can't check in. I wonder if we can report this?

Colossians 3:23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.
Alice was right: Doug had been doing his diet halfway. His heart hadn't really been in it, and Alice asked him why he was even doing it at all. Now, he felt he was ready. Alice had offered the challenge, and he aimed to take her up on it. No more halfway measures: he was going to throw all his energy and commitment into losing some weight. God wants us to mean what we say. Our yes must mean yes, and our no must mean no. Whatever we choose to do, we ought to do it fully, for God wants children with commitment and resolve, not indecision and insincerity.
Today's thought: My diet is an all-or-nothing proposition!
Diana: My elephant ears are just hanging in there in a pot. I think maybe they need to be divided and put in fresh dirt.. My voodoo lily came back, but I don't think it will bloom this year...Maybe it needs to be repotted.
No cardio this week. No scrabble today. But I dug up/repotted 3 clematis vines. There are 2 or 3 more that I need to do and maybe 2 or 3 that are dead. I think I will let those sit and see if they come back. I have some zinnias and some orange and gold cosmos coming along...It will be nice to have something color in the front again.
CieCie: I have been reading/watching Hemingway books/movies. He is kind of a guy author who writes mostly about hunting, fishing, and war. Ken Burns PBS bio about him was really fascinating...I wondered about where his ideas came from and then I wondered about what it was like to be married to him. He would have certain experiences and then maybe a decade later he would write some fictional story. His first wife was a musician like his mother, and the other 3 were journalists like him...who were able to help further his career.
Diet has been okay. I really miss the pool....I need to get back into wt. loss mode. My gardening has been coming first these days. I have been reaping small tomatoes and parsley, I am trying to grow sweet onions and lettuce from the roots. This is an experiment...
Good afternoon! Went for three power walks today. Ran errands all three times. I’m also washing the things I wash once a month today. I’ll do one more load later on this afternoon. The rest will wait until tomorrow. 😁❤️😷🌺
Checking in, chicks! Computer is so slow but it's got me this far. Haven't gone back yet to check previous posts.Tried, but computer so slow.
Last week I was able to take my parents to their lake home for a week. Worked out pretty well. Lots of work, but worth it. They enjoyed it. Have missed all of you! I've been doing okay. I've been able to get more walks in so that's offset any dietary goof-ups. Had a lot of salty foods yesterday so did not want to weigh today.
Rachel Good to see your check in. It's nice that you and your parents were able to get away for a week.
Teri I'm missing going to the pool, too.

Proverbs 10:25 As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
When the group began, there were sixteen people involved. They all made a contract to lose twenty pounds by spring. Spring was less than two weeks away, and the group was down to seven members. As Jean walked along the sidewalk toward the building where her group met, she noticed some small saplings bending in the stiff March breeze. Some had broken off, but a few determined little plants held on for dear life. 'I'm like that,' Jean thought. 'Most of the others have given up, but I'm going to hang in there, no matter how stiff the challenge.' Perseverance is a huge part of a successful diet. Continually ask God for commitment to your cause. He is good to give it.
Today's thought: I'm determined to make it, no matter what!
