I am taking a break from alcohol. I made it all of last week. I also went to bed early last night and got up on this Saturday morning. I have really been working on my sleep habits. I also packed a salad every day last week. Weight is hovering around 164#. Slow and steady.

Hi Everyone!

I had a great day! I decided to donate my wedding dress, veil, large slip that goes under the dress, and jewelry that I used to wear in pageants, when I was in school. I'm surprised the jewelry still looked really good. They don't make costume jewelry like that anymore. Anyways, I kept thinking about the dress needing to be dry cleaned, it wouldn't look as good as others dresses, etc. I listened to the conversations when the dresses were being dropped off. The lady taking the dresses in said that most of the dresses were going to need to be dry cleaned so that wasn't a big deal. When it was my turn the lady commented on how beautiful my dress was. I asked her if I could look at the dresses. I saw where she put mine and it was so beautiful. I am so glad I decided to make the donation. I would rather it get more use than thrown away at my death. My heart swelled with joy. I am so happy with the decision. My dress came from the store that burned down. After that I went to do some shopping and then DH and I went for dinner. I didn't get a workout in but I got my steps in.

1 Corinthians 9:12
If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

Betty got so annoyed with Sarah. Sarah had lost so much weight, but whenever anyone asked her how she did it, she told them she couldn't have done it without God's help. That got old really fast. Why didn't she just take credit and let it go at that? Everything had to be a big spiritual production for Sarah! It's hard for some people to actually realize the power that Christians find in Jesus Christ. They can't understand our gratitude and thankfulness. We are partakers in a great and wonderful power, and it is right for us to acknowledge the source of that power. Christ saves lives, and He liberates us from things like obesity that threaten to make life less than it was meant to be.

Today's thought: I will give thanks to God for His help in my diet!

Good Morning, Everyone!

DH and I slept in this morning. We needed it!

Steps for yesterday: 7,018
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day and stay safe and healthy! Have a great start to your week!

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Bonnie took a good look in the mirror. Amazing. She never thought she'd look this good again in her life. All the pain and torture and sacrifice was well worth it. She still couldn't believe it. She had dreamed of the day she would feel really good about her dieting, and that day had arrived. What a great feeling! If we will persevere, the day of triumph will indeed come. Like Paul, we need to fight the good fight, keep the faith, and complete the course. God promises to reward those who remain steadfast. Hold on to your dream and God will bless you richly.

Today's thought: I am closer to my goal with each passing day!

Default JULY 2021

Hi!

Rachel: I knew someone who had knee replacement and was asked to do knee exercises before surgery to increase flexibility. ...At some point I need to get back to floor exercises...I know that I have lost flexibility in the hips...Not fun.

Rachel, Diana: There were 2 empty lanes in the pool this am...just for you...

Diana: How nice to donate your wedding dress. When I moved I needed to downsize, so I passed a bridemaid's dress on to my niece...

Hope "Thelma and Louise" are staying out of trouble...

Rachel: The inventor Tesla was inspired by his black cat. When he was young he noticed that when he petted his cat in the dark, flashes of light passed from his hand to the cat. His mother who could not read or write told him that the flash of light to the cat was the same as the lightning that touched the earth. Tesla asked "who strokes the earth?" Many years later, he was up in the Rockies doing experiments with channeling lightning from storms...

It is a new week. I finally finished up the stability ball exercises due last week. I biked/wt. lifted last night and this am I swam for 45 minutes. I started wearing a mask again going to the Y. I did some weeding over the weekend. I watered this am. I finished reading another library book.

I am really craving pepsi...
