The scale says I did not exercise enough yesterday.
My exercise for today:
10:00 am- elliptical
10:50 am- walk
1:15 pm- walk
5:40 pm- walk
7:30 pm- ice skate
Glad tomorrow is a rest day. According to my food log, I should be able to confirm a half pound loss. According to the scale, I am going into tomorrow with a pound and half gain above my official weight. It is four pounds above the false low I saw this week. I know that scales don't lie but they sure take their time showing losses. The ketone test strips show I am on track.

Saw a weight loss blogger complaining about a 'small' weekly loss of 1.2 lbs. In my book, that's a large loss for the week considering I can barely manage a half pound loss for the week.
If I consider my start date for this round of weight loss as June 1, 2019, I have been at this 535 days. Considering that, 594 more days feels much more doable.

Don't ya hate it when you thought of something to write earlier and then forget?
Yesterday when I went ice skating, I was the only one. They had to turn the lights on so I could skate. I really loved it but also felt guilty. This pleasure was a derivative of this horrible pandemic that has negatively affected so many.
One of the hockey players that came in to get ready for a game scheduled for after free skating gave me a thumbs up. It made me smile.

Today I went skating at the bigger rink. The smaller rink is still closed to recreational skating. There were more people there today. One lady stopped to talk to me because she recognized me from the smaller rink. She was disappointed the smaller rink was closed and like me didn't really understand why they were closed. Usually, it is only four of us skaters there. Plus, the smaller rink is still letting hockey teams practice and play games. A much higher risk than only four skaters on the ice.
So last night my scale went crazy and it took me a bit to figure out what was going on. It really helped me that my scale straight up told me what it was doing. It reset itself because I had reached a 10 pound loss. Now bear in mind, my scale has settings for two users. I use one for my morning weight which I use for my official weights. In addition, my morning weights are much more consistent. I use the other user setting for my night weights which are very inconsistent. They depend on how much I've eaten and when. I think of them as nonsense weights and I feel they are relatively useless. Any way , it was the night weight setting that reset itself. We'll see how long it takes the morning weight to reset. My estimate is another 6 weeks. Officially 3 pounds away from the reset and only lose a half pound a week at the most.
Yesterday, I had intended to add that I didn't recognize the reset music my scale plays because I've only heard it a few times.
COVID is out of control so my state has gone to higher level of restriction. Bottom line- no more skating for me for a while. Which is unfortunate since I think that is what was causing my recent weight loss.
Exercise is off the board for me for the next few days due to some family drama that unexpectedly blew my way.

So with the increase restrictions due to COVID, the recreation center deleted all of the reservations I had made. I had reschedule every one. I think it will be really hard to lose weight without being able to properly exercise.
I have found using the ketone test strips seems to be really consistent with showing if I am on track or not. Well, this week I found an exception to that which I don't full understand. I had a day earlier this week where I ate literally about half of what I usually do. The ketone test strips showed completely negative meaning I didn't burn any fat. I'm not sure what this means.

My reservation at the rec center wasn't until 8:30 pm but I still went. The rest this week are earlier. It is a limit of 3 appointments per week. I was up to four. I am going to try the community center on Friday but I don't really like their equipment. Took today off so tomorrow will be a really hectic work day!

Went out walking in the ice and snow three times today. This reminds me, I want to check if I can set up another rec center appointment since I used one yesterday.

Pipsicle, you can research this further, but I think ketones in your urine means you are excreting keytones. If you know you were on plan but don't register keystones you might have burned all of them, such as the day you ate less.
Are your community center and ice rinks free or is there a fee like a gym? That's great that you have both available to you.
My scale reset itself this morning. It resets every ten pounds.
Oh I feel so bad. I had an appointment at the rec center today and I totally forgot about it. I really wanted to go and even worse, I stopped someone else from using it. So stupid!! I was distracted with getting ready for tomorrow among other things.
Re the ketones, it shows I am burning fat. So on the day I had low calories I wasn't burning any fat. I don't really get why but would not be able to suss it out properly from reading more.
My rec center is roughly $15/month. The little rink is $8/session and the big rink is $10/session.
